I was trying to make a MegaMan engine in Flash so I could make stages like I used to in MMPU that everyone could play since nobody ever bought a PSP, but... I'm not very good.

The thing I don't like about Flash is that it WILL randomly do weird things even though your actionscript is fine or whatever you drew should be OK.

For instance if you draw on two frames, tween them, and then undo the tween, it can totally change the drawings completely instead of just putting it back to the way it was.

authority of the Florida State Board of Education
and the College Board of Trustees has conferred on

with all the rights privileges
thereunto appertaining.

I don't know what that means.

Anyway the story of how it got to this is so long and complicated I'm not even gonna bore you guys with the details but, as some know from Facebook, I got THE call. Yup. I got a job career animating. I started on Monday.

I can't say too much, especially since I'm not even sure what I can say about it, but I'm working on this new Disney show called Fish Hooks (working title) which is coming out in fall sometime.

I've watched rough cuts of a couple episodes and it's actually really great. Really funny.

Thanks a lot, guys. It's pretty awesome.

But...

D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DISNEY?!

It's not like that. Well it IS a Disney show but it's more like Disney is a client of Mercury Filmworks in the same way that we did the first season of Jimmy Two-Shoes for them, or like how we did 6Teen for Nelvana.

But I guess I do work on a Disney show so let's just pretend I work for Disney because that sounds more incredible.

That's seriously goddamn awesome. When you hit it big enough to make your own show, you be sure to tap me to voice one of the characters or something. (But then of course don't actually do that because I'm assuming you don't want your show to fail miserably.)

Seriously though - very very very goddamn cool.

I downloaded some free thing.

I already forgot what it's called but I saw a commercial of it a lot of times recently.

Picture Dojo or something?

I'll look into X-Scape, and probably Dark Void Zero.

I think it's confusing because the actual sentence you quoted from the paper doesn't make grammatical sense. I don't know if it's because you copied it differently or what, but that's good news also anyway.

Everything on there except the parenthesis "(In short: good job.)" was written on the degree. I added that bit because it doesn't hold much of value to me other than I did good work for 2 years in school. I can't do diddly with this degree.

I am glad I'm on my way to my bachelor's though.

My Saturday night was pretty awesome.

1) My roommate and I paid off the TV earlier in the week, and now it's just up to me paying off his part and then in July it gets moved into my room while he buys a big-ass TV for himself. He told me he'd knock $150 off of what I owe him if I picked up Blur for the Xbox 360 for him, which was $40 at K-mart at the time. WIN.

2) My buddy traded me a Tekken 6 fightstick and the two-disc version of Call of Duty 3 for a brand-new copy of Blur. Again, $40 at K-mart, so I win again.

3) Friend of the family called me up to ask if I wanted to go see Star Wars Live (you get to see a live orchestra play music from the Star Wars saga) with her in July for free.

4) I won a bet on the Liddell vs. Franklin bout in UFC 115, thus, I am saved from having to see Eclipse at the midnight showing with my co-worker.

KAY SO

Went to free Iggy and The Stooges show downtown (there were other bands but #####'em), my buddy and I squirmed our way to front row, got into the mosh, both of us crowed surfed, kicked and were kicked in the face a few times, slammed into fat sweaty people, I chipped my tooth, dropped my own cigarette on me, and accidentally purposely groped a random broad.

Good concert, at the cost of a trip to the denti--ooh FREE HEALTH CAAAAARE.

Uh, yeah. Dentists aren't covered under free health care. Neither is the actual medication.

I have benefits with this new job, so I have dental and stuff which I assume will really help but for now just costs me.

Stressful stuff and super fun stuff the past 4 days for me. Mostly stressful though.

Also my laptop took a turn for the hearse so until I can get it looked at I won't be on a lot.

I gots $42.50 from sellin' stuff.

Sold one of those dumb Toon Goblin Attack Force cards for $4.50 and a DVD set I don't watch for $38. I'm going to attempt to sell each one for $4. I have 94 of those darn things left. I wonder if I can sell them all?

I should have done this a year ago. I might just start a little mini online business from this.

Just a fun little tidbit of pretty cool news for me:

A while back, comedian Roy Wood Jr. came and performed at my school. After the show, he took myself and the rest of our school's comedy club out to dinner and paid for us while sharing valuable insight into the business. I've kept in touch and made plans a couple months ago to open for him next time he came to Michigan, which will be in October.

That's all old news.

New news: he's now a finalist on this season of Last Comic Standing. So, assuming nothing falls through, I'll get to be opening for not just a really generous and funny guy in October, but an LCS finalist.

So the family friend who is taking me to the Star Wars concert got a call the other day. She got her tickets by donating money to PBS, and they did a raffle drawing with everyone else who got tickets through PBS. The prize was a private tour of the costumes and props on display before the concert, and after the concert...a meet-and-greet with Anthony Daniels, the actor who played C-3PO.
