Today I finished writing my movie!

It is called "Heavy Meta" and it is about college kids making a movie!

I am very proud of the script! It is very funny!

Hopefully I'll start filming soon. Renting out a theater on campus to show it at once we're done.

And fat professors are the lamest professors!

Also, every female English professor I've had (3) is the exact same person in a different human suit.

My new programming teacher is alright (fun wise) but apparently he's bad at teaching which makes me miss my old teacher.

Also, my Script Writing teacher is Dr. Light (MM8) incarnate.

Both of mine too!
One was a lot bitchier, but they were both hipster stoners in the day and now just around with their cats all day reading papers written by college kids.

My new animation prof is cool and said it looks like I'm on the right track with my film, which is I wish I could double underline great.

Computers seems OK too. Tomorrow is probably gonna be good because I've had the prof before, like three years ago, and he's awesome. But Fridays will suck since I'm not a fan of my life drawing prof and haven't been since last year.

But we don't want to look gaudy, now.

I now have a blog, myspace, facebook, and twitter. And they're all sync'd. I think that's a pretty productive day right there. Oh, and I did a little chapter reading or whatever. But school is of no consequence to me when I am NETWORKING!

Today was this huge start-of-the-year thing for our university called Bronco Bash. It's a big all-day sort of gathering where hundreds of organizations have booths set up all around this one enormous courtyard area on campus. It's packed all day because everyone goes and gets free stuff and coupons and everything, it's great.

SOOOOO... this year, the Stand-Up Comedy Club got a booth. And we totally did NOT take this seriously.

The booth to the right of us was this very professional-looking organization called Breyer Research, and they were all about birth-control and teen pregnancy issues. The booth to the left of us was some super-serious health-related organization with an extremely professional logo and sign and matching uniforms and such.

Then there's our table. An awful crudely-made Sharpie-on-cardboard sign was duct-taped to our table that read "Western Michigan University Stand-Up Comedy Club!" but, I mean awful. Like, there were two clearly seperate pieces of cardboard taped together, and it was hanging crooked.

Our table was filled with trinkets from the dollar store, and we'd give them to people if they could beat us in a game of Rock Paper Scissors or at a staring contest. When we ran out of our trinkets, we just walked around and took stuff from every other table and put them on ours. We crossed out all the other logos and wrote our own on them with Sharpies.

We yelled at people walking by, insulted everyone who ignored us, called people over and at one point we tried to get a kissing booth going.

Ron got a couple smooches! Good for him.

We also had a caricature booth going. Trevor is actually a cartoonist (he does cartoons for our school newspaper) but we totally chose NOT to take advantage of that. We put some of his good caricature drawings out in front of an easel, and that was enough to attract people.

He'd just draw a Christmas tree or something. "What are your hobbies? I'll draw you riding a motorcycle or something." He'd draw the star on top of the tree. "What's your name? Lindsey? Is that AY or EY?" Then he'd write "For Brittany!" on it.

This was going on the entire time, and it never once got old. We had some black and white print-outs of David Schwimmer, Jason Alexander, Urkel, and Screech from Saved By The Bell, so when Trevor didn't feel like drawing a Christmas tree we'd just hand those out instead. It was awesome.

Posted on: 11 September 2009, 19:28:09

Here is a video of some lucky girls getting one of the aforementioned caricatures!

Unforunately I'm only in the video for a split-second when the camera turns and you see my back, I was doing important things* on the other side of the booth!

But yeah, these "caricatures" were going on the entire time.

Getting screwed out of my RA money.
My Great Grandma dying.
Stress of being an RA, having 4 science classes, vice pres of 2 clubs, executive board of another club.
And a billion other things.

Blast from the past!

I just found out that three people I went to military school with are at the same college as me. I haven't seen them in almost 4 years!

After I got kicked out, I sort of lost touch with all of my friends over there... and I've only really talked to them in recent years through Facebook. I didn't even realize some of them went here.

Well, at least you had the chance to know your great grandmother. I bet she was a good lady. How old was she?

I can comiserate, though. My grandmother was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and is on oxygen at all times now.

I also found out that I am apparently at-risk for a genetic blood cancer that I didn't know about.

For now, though, the worst I've got is a headcold/sinusitis and five missing body parts.

All-in-all for me, I've been having a series of fortunate events lately, and my birthday is next Friday, so I'm feeling pretty good about things.

Going up the mountain helped me clear my head, and gave me a break from people. It did me well.

I found out tonight just how close I was to dying from those damned gall stones.

Apparently, had I gone in one day later to the hospital, my pancreas would likely have burst, and I would have died a horrible, painful, sickly death involving bile and internal hemorrhaging.

My night in a nutshell before I pass out:

- saved the party by supplying music since nobody else had an iPod
- got slapped in the face by a cute girl I initially hit it off with
- walked in on my friend Dan taking a piss
- "Is your name Dave?"
- got picked up and thrown around by drunk people who are bigger than me
- got dropped hard onto the floor by drunk people who are bigger than me
- walked in on random girl taking a piss (seriously, people, lock the door)
- put the iPod to "That's How I Beat Shaq" by Aaron Carter (nobody noticed)
- got tackled to the ground by a drunk friend who thought it would be funny (it was)
- almost ate spiked watermelon (it was spiked with watermelon vodka)
- Twister: one guy, six girls
- "You look like this guy named Dave that I know."
- put the iPod to "Perfect Day" by Hoku (people noticed, cheered)
- cute girl is now very drunk and trying to apologize for slapping me, but the words don't come out... her lunch does
- conga line
- "Bye, Dave!"
- leaving, coincidentally run across a cute girl I know but haven't seen for a long time in the parking lot who is drunk and needs a ride (brownie points for later)
- get home, watch a car try to park and hit another car (don't drink and park)
- realized I forgot my iPod on the amp

So, all in all, an awesome night.

I might add that it became a sort of "running gag" to slap me in the face for most of the night.

I just like that it was a watermelon spiked with watermelon vodka. Like some sort of super-watermelon.

I mean, we're talking watermelon with the power to fight back and not sit in the back of the bus.
