With that salmon line I was referencing Monty Python. Sorry. Meaning of Life. Don't know why I remember those things. It's not really a quotable line.

And yeah, Mike, I don't REALLY have insomnia. I just like that word. I had sleeping problems way back when where I stayed up for days on end, but it was never insomnia. It was just... weird moods. Every once in a while I get like that again, but usually for shorter periods of time.

Like, I can tell you I'll be going to bed tonight.

38 hours and counting, by the way.

I've been so bored these last two days... video games aren't helping.

I NEED TO SOCIALIZE

All of my friends are gone for reading/study/whatever week.

INTERNET SOCIALIZING ISN'T WORKING

I have to put up with this madness for two more days, too...

I'M SO ALONE AND BORED AND I WANT TO HOLD SOMEONE

There's nobody partying because there's like two people on campus left so I can't even go into parties uninvited where they are like "hey its that guy remember hes cool were so druuuuuuuuunk"

So my day.

Last night I got a bunch of mail but I threw it aside because I was tired from work. This morning, before going to work, I was cleaning my room.

I looked at the mail.

There was a bubble-wrapped package.

I opened up the bubble-wrapped package.

I smiled because the bubble-wrap popped as I was opening the bubble-wrapped package.

I reached into the bubble-wrapped package.

I grabbed ahold of the object inside the bubble-wrapped package.

I pull-

"GET ON WITH IT."

... I GOT A MEGA MAN 9 PRESS KIT.

I WILL POST PICTURES SOONISH.

Then I went to work doing a tiring 6-hour shift, and went to Annie's house for a Happy Valentine's Birthday.

And now I have a date.

Woot.

So, like normal, today was 'get depressed over my social retardation' day.

Although I really have nothing to complain about, considering how well I get along with so many people.

'So many' being of course relative.

I've had one girlfriend. One. And it didn't go over too well either, didn't end badly but it was more of a "why bother?" relationship. Ended abruptly.

Fatso, you're taking this day too seriously, I've never seen Valentines day as a day to walk over to a girl and play kiss ass and hope she becomes your "Valentine". It's more of a day to spend time with the one you love. I see it as a day where people where people gather up enough courage to ask the person they like to go out with them.. which I think is totally wrong, every day should be like that.

Just go up to the girl and talk to her, I have. It's not hard at all. What's the worst that could happen? Consider the consequences and see that you're not losing much but a sliver of self-esteem and confidence, that is if you're not emotionally built for this #####. If she rejects you, tell yourself it's their loss, if you see nothing wrong yourself you'll come back like nothing happened.

And yes I've been rejected, so I'm not just talking out my ass.

I'll never understand why people are so bitter about V-Day. At the very least, it's heartwarming to see so many couples happy and together for a day. It's ridiculous to get bitter about being alone on such a day.

I really don't care for it, but if you have someone, it's a nice day. If you don't, who cares? Why get angry?

I know COUPLES that hate V-Day together. It's insane, but I suppose it still goes along with the spirit.

My Valentines day was great.
My lady and I went to the mall!
THEN, we came back.
THEN she was tired and went to sleep so I went to practice for the next Rock Band video game competition this Wednesday.

It will be spectacular.
We're going to kick so much ass, with Peace sells, Ace of Spades, Battery, Rob the Prez-O-Dent, and Master Exploder.

Some people get angry about it because they feel like relationships are being shoved in their faces by anyone and everyone.
Personally I think such people are just taking it way too personally.

Doesn't change my opinion that it's a pretty useless holiday, but it'd probably be boring all year without some sort of heart-shaped festivity, you know?

Exactly, those people ARE taking it way too personally.

When I see all those couples, it warms my heart a little bit. It's nice. I don't see why it should bother anyone.

I definitely agree that people shouldn't need to have a holiday to give gifts to their lovers and be especially nice to them, but the point is that it's just another excuse to do so, not the only time.

Of course it's a useless holiday. So are most of them. Even Halloween is entirely useless. And that hurts to admit.

My problem with Valentine's Day is that I don't think you should need a special day to show you're love for someone. That should be done on any and/or everyday, so Valentine's Day isn't necessary. And the decorations suck.

I just noticed Mikero said "you are press kit".

I said that. But just because they should be doing that every day doesn't mean there can't be a holiday for it.

I mean, I should be able to knock on someone's door every day and demand candy whilst dressed as a superhero. Doesn't mean we can't set aside a day JUST for that.

Hahaha, no, yeah.

There's a lot more point to Halloween. That's something that everyone has to do at the same time, it's a group activity where the group is huge. So it needs to be agreed upon that this is the day to do it.

The winter holidays as well as Thanksgiving incorporate whole families and friend groups so it has to be agreed upon too. Independence days are whole countries, and so on.

But normal Valentine's stuff is pretty much always two people separate from everyone else, so really any couple can do that at any time.

When I think of "point" I generally think something should be accomplished by the thing that has a point to it.
... if that makes sense.

Winter family holidays are a decent reason to see family you like, but usually there's not much accomplished (unless you count presents).

The purpose of Halloween is to get candy, though, and that's why I've never had a problem with it (although honestly it's been years since I've gotten any candy on Halloween).
