That's ass, but there's still a couple days man, something might work out. OH make a poster on the computer for it and print it off and then put it up in res and then even if no one you know goes people from your res will be there.

Got to work in the office all day on the computer instead of the usual. Doing stuff with all over British Columbia, so I learned about a lot of it's districts, regions, cities, and all that crap. OK you all probably know I make fun of BC (well, Vancouver really) and Toronto people in similar ways, with how they think the city they were born in is the best place in the universe. Now, I am just joking when I do that even though it's not exactly untrue. Anyway I was on the website for Nanaimo today, and I was SUPPOSED to be getting the Mayor's information, but I saw a button that said something along the lines of "Looking for Nanaimo bars?" and I thought something very much like "##### yes I am!" and I clicked away, and this caught my eye and I thought it was funny;

The Legendary Nanaimo Bar
According to local legend about 35 years ago, a Nanaimo housewife entered her recipe for chocolate squares in a magazine contest. In a burst of civic pride, she chose to dub the entry not "Daphne's Delights" or "Mary's Munchies", but "Nanaimo Bars". The entry won a prize, thereby publishing the town as much as her cooking. Some American tourists claim sovereignty over the dessert, referred to as "New York Slice" which is sold in many other places in the world. Nanaimo residents refuse to accept this theory, however, believing that once you set foot on Vancouver Island, there are no other places in the world.

While I agree that they are called Nanaimo Bars and not that other gayosity, that just made me chortle on my 7Up, since right before that I was looking at other small BC villages that boasted things like "Canada's Hotspot" and such even though me and everyone else in the country and mulitverse has never heard of them.

Anyway the best part is my mom left for a vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC today so house to myselllllf for days and days and days! Braap braap!

I had the dubious distinction of living in a town with one of the highest average ages (~55 IIRC, though with the rate of population growth there it's probably lower by now) in Canada for eight years.

My favourite backwater BC town, though, has to be Chemainus on the outskirts of Victoria, which has as many huge #####ing murals as it has streets but you'd pass it by in a heartbeat and might not even notice it was there.

Haha, that's hilarious, Mike. But who still drinks 7Up?

Anyway, yeah, I talked to someone whose roommate that I sort of know is going to see Daniel Tosh, so if things work out I'll just go with her and whoever she's going with.

Diet 7Up actually. And it's really good. Like... it's surprisingly good.

One thing I like most about BC besides the clearly fantastic views some places have, are the names of places.

I'm-a do my laundry soon.

The halls are very quiet, everyone must have gone home for Thanksgiving.

Usually, every Friday and Saturday, there's people yelling and loud music everywhere, so this weekend I won't feel intimidated walking through the halls at night. It's also ideal to do laundry.

I'd do it in the day, but its usually full and I'd have to wait. So, this should be good tonight.

Husson College becomes Husson University tomorrow!
Right about the time we kick Springfield college's ass.

Everybody has gone home for the long weekend.
They're gonna miss the fireworks tomorrow night.....

So, today, I finally had enough. I finally decided to get it checked out.

3:00 PM - Left residence to go to the medical center here.
3:10 PM - Found out its closed on Sundays. Should have figured. Was told of another one close by.
3:30 PM - Found the other medical center. Closed at 3:00.
4:05 PM - Had to take the bus to get to another medical center. It closed at 4:00.
4:30 PM - Got to a hospital near the medical center mentioned above.
5:00 PM - Got registered and everything. Was ready to see my doctor.
7:30 PM - Finally got to see my doctor.
7:35 PM - Felt insanely violated.
7:40 PM - Found out I have a rip in my ass.

So, basically, I have to eat a lot of fibers, drink a lot of water, and stay as cleaned as I can.

Yeah, my day was awesome.

#####, man! Your power in my MMM-game spoof was going to be "YOU GET NO DIGIMON WORLD. EVER."

ANYWAY, just got back from seeing Daniel Tosh live.

Holy #####.

So awesome.

Almost all new material, and all of it funny. Heath Ledger's suicide note: "10 Things I Hate About Me."

##### YES.

He tore some drunk heckler a new asshole and then security hauled him off.

Met him outside, he signed my DVD and ticket. Made fun of me for being short. I had a picture taken, but the friend who took it sucks at taking pictures and it's all blurry and #####ty and I'd be pissed if I didn't get the signatures.

I'll still post the picture even though it's not worth posting. Also, the autographs. He wrote "I'm sorry" either for having an offensive routine or for calling me short. "Oh, I have to bend down to talk to you."

This was my first time seeing a comedian live. Daniel popped my cherry.

The guy who opened for him, Jasper Redd, he was pretty funny, too. I've seen him on Comedy Central before, I think it was on one of Patton Oswalt's Comedians of Comedy specials. I like the way he talks.

I almost went to see Dave Chappelle live once, but ended up not going. This was like, RIGHT before he split to Africa. I also almost went to see Demetri Martin last year, but we had some party that night.

Basically, I'm just glad that I got to see Daniel Tosh because I've actually been really into him lately. Like, I have different swings where I seem to prefer one comedian over others, and this lined up perfectly.

Who's that kid with Daniel Tosh in the first picture?

The coolest guy you'll ever meet.

Promise.

He wrote "I'm sorry" because it's just a funny thing to autograph I think. Almost like an apology letter. And people will ask why he's sorry, and that's funny.

Who signed the ticket with a B? Beethoven? Bea Arthur? Beatrix Kiddo? The Beatles? The Land BEfore Time? Zaphod Beeblebrox? Hepatitis B? Beatport? Bee Movie? B.M.? Beads? Brighton beach? The Beets? The Bee Gees? Bebo? Beer pong? Beatrice Potter? Beyonce? Bun B UGK? Warren Beaty?

Almost all new material, and all of it funny. Heath Ledger's suicide note: "10 Things I Hate About Me."

That doesn't even sound close to funny BEFORE I think it might be too soon.

I grabbed some computer speakers from my house, set them up, plugged them in.

And they are receiving a radio signal.

How the ##### does that work?

They are turned on, but not plugged into anything.
And they are producing sound, from the radio station whose tower is about an 8th of a mile away.

Can someone explain how this works please?

You mean it's Thanksgiving, not this "Columbus Day" bullspit.

Spent the day with my dad.

Spent last night with friends on campus and had almost 2 complete bottles of wine on my own. And I was fine. Until I was on the bus which made me feel bad. But I was fine after the bus so it must have been the motion and lack of airflow.

Have any of you ever had just series of really crappy days?

On Friday I was helping my mom stack up some metal lawn chairs for storage and I tripped on top of the back of one of them and the back hit me in the gut so bad I went down like a rock. It hurt so bad I couldn't breathe and I drooled uncontrollably.

I was okay after a while, then on Saturday my bed collapsed (it's an old wooden bed with loose boards that support the mattress) out from under me. And then on Sunday my brother insulted me and my cooking.

Now my left eyelid won't stop twitching. >.O

So far today has been alright, I took yesterday off to relax. I'm just doing some ebaying to find some cool stuffs.

So, I have this class called First Year Experience, it's just meant to help Freshmen get used to college life, and the class is really laid back and we do odd activities now and then.

So, today, we did this activity where there was a list of people on a boat. There was an explosion on the boat and it starts sinking, and only 6 of them could fit on the life boat. We had to pick which 6 deserved to be on the lifeboat. Some options included a pregnant Japanese lady, her accountant husband, an Arab diplomat, a famous Hollywood actress, a Swedish bio-chemist, a Brazillian athlete, an old rabbi, etc.

I was having the time of my life playing devil's advocate the whole time.

I was saying things like, "Oh, we can't pick the Arab diplomat, he's probably the one who caused the explosion."
And "That Hollywood actress is a vapid whore. I saw her in a couple of her movies, all rubbish. But she's hot, so let's take her."
"Gotta' take the preggerz one, that's a twofer."
"We can leave the Brazillian athlete, he's black."
"The Rabbi probably owns the boat and has it insured through the roof so we should take him so at least someone benefits from this whole thing. Though, does he really need any more money?"

And I didn't get in trouble at all.

So far, so fail.

I was going to go out to the Navy base and apply at one of the contractors.
And I have a nice shirt and some slacks I was going to wear, since you don't show up to a place you'd like to work at in shorts and a t-shirt. Not if you want the job, anyway.

But yeah, I discovered I don't have a belt.
I'm not sure how universal the dress etiquette here is, but you need a belt if your shirt is tucked in to your pants, and with that outfit that's the only option.

So I decided to procrastinate again and wait until I can buy a belt before going.
Or spend more time looking for something that should be right in front of me.

"With a transmitter that close, this kind of thing isn't uncommon. Sometimes repositioning wires can help. Other times, it can help to make sure that every piece of electronics involved with the computer is grounded to the same point (i.e. running three prong cables and all to the same outlet). Usually it's the house wiring acting as an antenna.

If you've got a walmart type power supply (with the typical two prong plug that can't be grounded) on the speakers, and also have a UPS, try plugging the speakers into the UPS.

A third option is to hunt around for some RF chokes that can clamp right on the cabling for the line feed from the computer to the speakers. These are similar to the cylindrical lump you often see on a monitor cable. Hunt at a big electronics supply house. Maybe you'll find something that's small enough to fit on the cable."

...Hope that helps...
