Been doing the homework thing and thus haven't slept since Friday night (well, Saturday morning) but I handed all that ##### in so tonight I'm just gonna flop like burger pickles racing on a glass window.

I'm too lazy to find that "post interesting news" thread that I'm pretty sure we had, so here:

I went to my girlfriend's house at about noon on Tuesday.

Spent 2 nights there, got back about 10 tonight.

Then I finally got an S-Video cable and an using the HDTV we have in our living room as a monitor.

It sucks that it doesn't have a VGA in.
It's good for watching movies and stuff, but the frame rate being 30fps makes it nearly impossible to play computer games, as I'm used to a nice 60fps.

Posted on: March 05, 2009, 11:11:31 PM

Hoooooo boy, I'm happy.

I have just purchased a few cables that will allow me to connect my computer to almost EVERY TV I come across.
If it has RCA, Component, VGA, SVGA, or S-Video.

Dual monitors all the time, anywhere I have a TV.
It'll be good for watching movies on the side while I'm a college as I don't have a DVD player (except for my laptop).
I love having another screen to look at.

Just finished reading through Watchmen. Liked it quite a bit. I don't read many graphic novels or comic books so my opinion means little, but it's definitely the best graphic novel I've ever read

I've been on vacation since December.
Today is the last day on vacation, which means in two days I start school.

Oh, not nearly as much as the parachuter feels zero meters from the floor.

Yesterday was pretty crap. Found out that one of the jobs I applied to had the position canceled... and it was one of the few I had all of the requirements for. Either they filled it or removed the position due to finance issues, but at least they have me on file for later.

Like every other place I've submitted resumes/applications to.

Oh, and this was not but three days after I applied, but at least these guys told me something.

Yesterday, I almost passed out in class.

I had to walk outside of class because I couldn't take much more of the lecture in First Aid. He was going into detail about bleeding emergencies and several other things. He showed images and even a video.

I'm pretty queazy when it comes to this stuff.

I laughed at the comment on that video that said: "did he died?"

It made me picture some little kid who is absolutely stunned by the video and those are the only words he can muster, with his hand raised above his mouth in shock.

But yeah, that's terrible. Not enough to get me squeamish (keep trying, Youtube! Something's gotta' make me squirm!)

Yeah, there was a comment also saying it was his carotid artery.

That's a very good multiple choice answer to a test question, but it was definitely a vein, due to the blood color. It was his jugular vein that got cut.

About two minutes later after watching that video and staying in class, I started feeling sick.

Like I said before, nothing grosses me out except for eye stuff, even looking at an eye when it's puffy or watery kind of gets me going.

There was even this one video on Youtube that's not up anymore.. about.. an industrial shredder.. and.. yeah... ##### got real. I didn't squirm.

Surprisingly no, I guess it's any unusual eye action that looks like it'd hurt.

Eye stuff grosses me out but not THAT much. Those eye popping things aren't gross because they're just pretty lame. For me it's all about stuff going in the eye and such. Puffy eyes or the like I don't care about.

It was his Carotid artery.

Teacher explained that it was a vein. Arteries contain oxygenated blood that go to the body, while a vein carries blood back to the heart, and without the O2, it's darker than usual.

Where does it say it was his Carotid?

Today I bought my very first green shirt, after finding out I look so fine in green. I was looking for a long sleeve shirt, but I found an Element green T shirt.. And the green with that logo totally reminded me of TornadoMan! So, you know me and my wind fetishes, I bought that bitch, I bought it so hard.

I apparently look good in black, but I only own one black shirt and so help me if I'm wearing a non-green shirt in the first place.

Green clothing is definitely underrated. A lot of girls look REALLY good in green, but I think that's just a twisted fetish I've developed from my absurd love for the color.

We had teenagers overnight and again tonight.

I stabbed myself in the palm.

To be clear: The stabbing was not due to the kids. The tip of a butcher knife went into my hand as I was trying to scrape a pan. Fun #####. Not serious enough to need stitches, though.

No you're right, but it's hard to accessorize with green and that's a big reason why most girls don't wear it often.
