I like the idea of Bond more than I like watching his movies.

I heard that it's based off the first novel.

Well, actually they took the first novel, and split it into four parts.

Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace being the first two parts.

Casino Royale is a novel. The movie pretty much had its plot but SMERSH was replaced by Quantum and it also had some extra things (the novel was just the Casino bit). Quantum of Solace is one of the short stories in the book Octopussy and the Living Daylights but the movie has nothing to do with the short story, it just uses the name.

I saw Quantum of Solace the other day. It was good, but I felt like I was watching Jason Bourne in a James Bond movie.

I also watched a short horror film called Janitor on Xbox Live. I thought it was okay. The girl was cute.

You think that one's bad? Try watching the two made-for-TV movies from the 70s.

He gets a bad rap 'cause his movies aren't the same style as they used to be and that's not cool. I saw the start of Click on TV, it was too late to actually watch because I had work in the morning but I liked what I saw. Had actual laughs too (but I WAS tired).

I always think his movies look good but for whatever reason I never see 'em.

You Don't Mess With The Zohan was NOT that good. Some laughs, but, like... just no.

But yeah, I actually enjoyed Click. I saw it in theaters with my family, and I haven't seen it again since then, but I definitely liked it.

The Zohan was alright here and there, I really liked Rob Schneider in that one, especially the goat scene.

So apparently this was a make-up test for Goku as an ape. It's not final, according to Fox.

Also, Piccolo gets greener as the movie goes on, or something.

On the note of Never Back Down... I had a frienemy who went and saw it and then came back RAVING about how awesome it was.

If he wasn't five times my size I would've maybe attempted to kind of try and sort of hurt him a little bit maybe.

No, I know what you mean. I probably would've really liked to watch it.

But he thought it was good. He believed it was good. In that sort of "...oh, yeah, this is why I know I'm better than some bits of humanity" sort way.

The new Star Trek movie looks real good, I'm no trekkie, but my dad's a fan of that stuff. The trailer is amazing I think, Abrams seems to be doing a great job..

I have to see it for Simon Pegg. And I'm an unwilling fan of Abrams' work. Mainly Lost and Cloverfield. So, well, why not?

In the Spaced special features, they make fun of Simon Pegg because there's a line in Spaced where he says "Sure as every odd numbered Star Trek movie is #####!", but now he's starring in an odd-numbered Star Trek movie.

Zachary Quinto is in it.
He's the dude that plays Sylar on Heroes for those who didn't know.

Sylar=Spock.

It might be awkward.

Yeah, I recognized him when I saw the trailer. It's sad because he looks exactly like Spock. But it works.

Oh, and for all of you that haven't seen the movie Big Nothing: in it, Simon Pegg speaks with an American accent and sounds very different. From what I heard in his single line in the trailer, he's definitely doing that American accent again for Star Trek.

It might be awkward.

I knew who was playing Spock so damn long ago.

EXACTAMUNDO!

EDIT:

Teaser Trailer: Horrible voice.

Theatrical: Looks... uh... wut? Are they making this seem as if this is the first ship of it's kind? Do people even have to train to be Captains now do they just recruit whoever? Also, yeah Sylar looks nothing like Spock other than his CLOTHES (and even then...). And Simon Pegleg isn't using an American voice. I don't know who said that but they are deaf.

No, Simon Pegg definitely sounds like he's using his American accent. He's just really bad at it. I mean, not bad, but it sounds a lot different. Trust me. Go watch Big Nothing and then listen for his line in the Star Trek trailer and you'll know exactly what I mean.

Who is he playing? Because he sounds like a crap Scottie, which would make more sense.

Sylar guy only looks like a Vulcan in that. Too bad his Sylar voice is his actual one and I'll never be able to not hear Sylar when he does what he calls acting.

Yeah, Pegg's playing Scotty.

Here's the trailer for Big Nothing in which he talks a lot so you'll easily be able to get a feel for his American accent:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwLruD9jDtU&feature=related

But yeah, after watching the Star Trek trailer again, I can't really tell. When he says "I like this ship," it clearly sounds 100% like his American accent and I have no doubts.

But then he says "It's exciting."

And it sounds like his normal voice. So I don't know.
