Yeah, my friend linked me to that the other day. It looks really awesome. The plot is what's really got me over the visuals, though: Mickey is being attacked by jealous minor Disney stars who never got famous.

I hope Oswald The Lucky Rabbit takes his rightful seat on the Disney throne.

I need screenshots of this game.

I remember seeing a drawing of a zombie/robotic/wooden Goofy a while back, which I believe was concept art for this game and it was absolutely fantastic.

AnimFact: Goofy is the single hardest character to properly animate.

Is this out of a list of established characters?

I literally almost put "established characters" but I felt it would weaken my statement to qualify that, since clearly I could just invent a character right now that's impossible to animate.

But the short of is that "The Goof" was created during the rubber hose era and while it worked out to adapt other characters from that era to have actual structure once the craft had evolved, attempts at giving Goofy a full proper build actually destroyed the character. So his model sheet currently exists within bended and broken rules. Animating him can be a challenge since he's so messed up, so it's a good exercise for young animators to work with the character.

Those projects were quite annoying.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii comes out tomorrow!

According to several reviews, the game is just as good if not better than Super Mario World!

I'm really excited for it. In fact, I spent the last two weeks replaying SMB1, 2, 3, and World intermittently in my free time. I finished my Luigi file on Galaxy yesterday afternoon (there were like 4 levels, left, though, so not really a big deal). I'm replaying NSMB today.

As good as the second-best Mario game ever? (Yoshi's Island can't be touched) Instant buy.

I looooooove Yoshi's Island but Super Mario World and SMB3 are both better.

Admittedly, though, no Mario game will ever top Yoshi's Island in terms of boss fights.

I wouldn't compare Yoshi's Island to normal Mario platformers, the gameplay is just too different.

However, it is indeed an awesome game.

Yeah, same with Vinch. It's like a completely different game, but I love it just about as much as I love Donkey Kong Country 2.

Anyone with a DSi will be able to download Capcom's Dark Void Zero soon for 500 NP. It was going to be a platformer to trump all platformers but then the SNES came out and it became outdated so they scrapped the project.

Looks really fun, I really like the exaggerated artwork they have for it too.

Recently Pre-Ordered Golden Sun DS.

It's supposed to come out in June or something, according to the GameStop guy... However I do not have any internet references to prove it.

Achron is up for preorder; preorders allow access to regularly updated alpha builds of the game. I don't have a credit card and I just finished using my dad's a ton, so I'll be waiting a little bit, but god I can't wait for this game.

If you have Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, this is for you. Starting January 30th until Valentine's Day, a "Pikachu-colored Pichu" is up for grabs.

Even further, if you plan to buy Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver, you can send this Pichu to the game and unlock an event. This event is ONLY accessible in this way.

I'm trying out Knuckles Chaotix for the first time in my life. The music is funky, and its incredibly colourful, which freaks me out.

But I dig it. It's the classic Sonic formula with a Tag-Team kind-of thing, and without Sonic. But yeah, I like it.

Okay just wanted to add one last thing about Mass Effect 2 (maybe lol) but in a review i read, it said that you do get some bonuses from the start of the game upon transfering your save, based on your paragon/renegade points, level, credits, and minerals you've collected from planets.

Minerals, huh? And signs of battle? I did enough to complete those quests but I definitely don't think I got ALL the minerals. I figured a lot of sidequests would carry over depending on what happened.

But credits? O Fortuna. I'm cashing in big if I get a credit bonus in ME2.

I don't mind talking about Mass Effect 2 actually because I'm really psyched for it. I don't think I'll really even care what my actions influence in the end, for those who know the potential outcomes of the game. If I end up not liking what happens I can just replay it. I already beat the game and I didn't expect this but I found myself starting ANOTHER new character; this one a Renegade, and on a tougher difficulty.

You get a ridiculous amount of items to sell later on in ME1 as you do the sidequests, but yeah I have both my Paragon and Renegade saves ready for ME2. I'm also not sure what minerals did in ME1 (if they had any function besides being some pokedex fillers or something)

Even though I have a lot of games to play at the moment it's going to be hard not getting ME2 the day it comes out.

Surveying minerals was just another way to make money. I think the theoretical idea was that you were out there in dangerous territory claiming these minerals for the Human Alliance because surveying those minerals would either be too dangerous or illegal or not cost-effective enough for a non-Spectre who didn't have a ship like the Normandy under his command, and you got a chunk of profit from doing it.

Since I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition rather than the standard I may have a better chance at getting it the day of.

Too much hype though, they made it out to look like the second coming of Jesus or something.

And what's with this "episode" bull? I'm being way to critical, but I'm actually pretty happy to see this.

They're releasing a trilogy, similar to how Sonic 3 & Knuckles were kind of two separate episodes.

BUT, each game is it's own full length Sonic game, 7 Zones and 7 Emeralds in all.

I hate remakes in 3D that have #####ty detection and stuff.

Maverick Hunter X, for example.

Hahah. It looked like you were giving them a grade or something.

Which makes kinda sense. This is good news and will probably be a really great game, but this isn't really an original tactic.

Haha, if I had to grade it, I'd give it a D.

Because:
- it's been done
- it took them way too long to realize it
- the 3D graphics look kind of iffy
- Episodic games

BUT HEY, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.

I don't like the Episodes idea.

And to be honest, I'd rather it not be in 3D.. would much rather have high-res art instead, but I'll deal with it.

But hey, anything that looks decent is fine by me.

3D is a lot easier to do than HD sprites, and we all know Sega likes to go the easy way out.

One thing I hope the game has is a lot of water areas, but done the same was Sonic 3 did it; almost every zone had water in it but it felt natural. Every recent 2D Sonic game (Advance, Rush) had only one water area in it and you barely stayed in it.

It doesn't really look like 3D, but more like "3D sprites" so far. Kinda like what Donkey Kong Country had.

But I really can't tell yet. It's just a trailer.

Pre-rendering doesn't have much use any more now that home computers can render reasonably high-poly models in real time without too much difficulty. I'd say it's much more likely that they're just using full 3D models (less work).
