I'm not so into him either.

There's only one talented musician in Tenacious D.

Hint: It isn't Jack Black.

Jack Black is fine - I enjoyed School of Rock, and I remember laughing with buddies at summer camp to the original Tenacious D album - but he definitely gets on my nerves sometimes. Not enough to make me dislike him or anything, but there's something there that irks me.

Anyone excited for Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver?

Because it's everything you expect and much more... in a very awesome way.

Like, there's an item in the game that will let you listen to the original GBC music instead of the DS remixes.

I do want it.

But I don't want the distraction. It's the reason I don't own Scribblenauts right now (but I might cave on that).

Apparently Alpha Protocol got delayed until June 2010. This makes October helluva lot more affordable.

Yeah. It's very gooood. The GBC music is good, but I like the DS remixes better for the most part. The Battle theme remixes are amazing, mainly the Kanto Gym Leader theme.

I really want to play that game. I love the controls of COD:MW.
I hate loose/#####ty controls, I like tight controls for small movements and acceleration  for larger movements.

COD4 was fun but I don't like getting killed by three bullets in the leg and then instant re-spawn to repeat the same thing.  :( YES THIS IS A VALID COMPLAINT

CoD4 was fun but too easy. G3 one-hit kills made the game a sniping contest online (unless you were cool like me and went shotty/deag and NEVER STOPPED MOVING)

I played online at a friend's house once. It may have been CoD4 but I think it was World at War. The second I respawned I was sniped. Multiple times. :[

Although I think it's fun, I am absolute garbage at the game. I'm just not good at FPS's in general.

I'm not really into FPS games but I really liked the demo is of CoD: World At War.
Not that I've seen a lot of WWII games, but it was definitely the most immersive/realistic one I've seen. If only because the first time you play it you're just thrown in there and it's chaos all over the place. You know, like a war.

Unfortunately that's completely lost the second time you replay the level.

I hope your expectations are set pretty low.

A real pair of night vision goggles cost anywhere from $500 to $5,000.
There's no way Activision loves you that much.

At best this will end up being a charge-coupled device with a couple infrared LEDs.

I only know about this thing because my friend's hyping about it on Facebook and it does look pretty good. You have three options (like Halo did). Regular game, the game in a collector's tin (with artwork), or you can get the collector's tin in this big box with artwork and such, plus the goggles.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMSS12iY1X0

The prestige edition over here seems to be $149.

EDIT: WIND, you're dumb.

I don't need to know what Sano plans to do with night vision goggles.

Anyway it would be hilarious if yes those goggles fit on that mock up of a human head, but that mock up of a human head is like 10cm tall.

I hope your expectations are set pretty low.

Did I express that I wanted the night vision goggles?
No, I've expressed that I'm disturbed by the ridiculousness of them being bundled with a video game.

In other news; I pre-ordered Brutal Legend.

I've got Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2 sitting in a locked room directly behind me.
I can hear them mocking me.

On a mildly related note, Sony changed their case design ever so slightly such that it better fits the slim model logo, as seen on Uncharted 2:

This seems like a small deal, but it's seriously going to ##### with the uniformity of my collections. I've gone to great length to keep my collection free of greatest hits, players choice, and other case-type anomalies, but now it's going to be completely unavoidable if I want any new games.

It's a small, stupid thing but it really, really bothers me.

Sadly, they likely won't. The only old titles that will see the new logo will be greatest hits editions, and those have all sorts of other bastardly markings on them that make them even more unacceptable.

It took me forever to replace the sleeve of my copy of Tales of Symphonia, and that's working at a damn game store.

I assume you can understand my plight then. The spine PS3 logo is now ~27% longer, a different typeface, and a different color. This is going to look terrible.

I'm the same way with my DVD's. I've always hated how the Futurama box sets are all COMPLETELY different, like the first one clearly has a "Volume One" written on the side in a way that was meant for every season to follow, and they just changed the entire thing every season. Of course, they just re-released all of them in a slimmer case for like $12 each and it just really annoys me.

With DVD's I kind of had to give up the fight because most shows boxes just don't look anything alike, but when it comes to specific shows, it bugs me when the boxes aren't uniform in style.

You work at a game store? If I'm having problems getting it on release day, any chance you could help a brother out with Dragon Age: Collector's Edition?
