You don't need the and/or, it's definitely "and".

That's what any one person would think, if they picked it up by context.

It has many uses.

And there's a difference, Sano doesn't care about anything 'cause he's bitter. I don't care because I'm a careless sonnavabitch.

Anyway I'm listening to a recording of one of my DJ friends spinning, it's like 45 minutes long but it's pretty sick. 'Nother time I'll see if the link for it works and post it.

Aceyalone's been groovin me out lately, as well as Ryan Leslie, who happens to be one of the most talented - and certainly one of the smartest - musicians on earth. Other notable hip hop interests this season have been my Graduation album, Consequence, and Mos Def and his newest CD The Ecstatic - some good stuff.

On the metal side, there's been a lot of local bands I love that are getting bigger, but there's also Underoath, August Burns Red, The Chariot, and Enter Shikari. Mmmmmmmetal.

And I always take time out for some Sufjan. He's masterful.

Oh, and hello peoples.

I love the stuff he did with Haiku D'Etat. I just wish there was more of it.

Mos Def and his newest CD The Ecstatic - some good stuff.

Love this album. It feels like a spiritual sequel to his 2006 album The New Danger, home to hits like "Close Edge". Although The New Danger is the better of the two, The Ecstatic is great.

Stopped in at GoodWill earlier, got the Pulp Fiction soundtrack for 2 bucks.
Jammin' to that.

Could have gotten Bruce Springsteen's greatest hits. I passed.
They also had a few Will Smith albums.

I friggin love Goodwill.

The Pulp Fiction is really fun. I've had it on my iPod for a while. I don't like how certain songs start out with a dialogue clip from the movie, though, like Misirlou and such.

I like them but at the same time I don't.

It's cool at first, but it gets old very quickly.

I am SO into these tracks right now!

Foreign Beggars feat. Noisia - "Contact" -- UK Hip Hop. I don't think I can find the album here (though they released Dizzee Rascal's latest album here so I donno) when it drops so I got it by other means just for this song. Haven't listened to all of it yet but I'm liking them.

Brother Ali - "Fresh Air" -- Brother Ali's new album seems like it's going to be LIVE. I'm gonna have to get this one. It reminds I have to buy some Atmosphere records too, support (well I guess not "support" since I gotta buy from a store) that Minnes-nota hip hop scene.

The new Brother Ali album is up to par with his last two full length releases.

That said, I really wish folks from RhymeSayers would stop trying to sing.

I can't wait for "Felt 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez" comes out.

Edit: The Katamari Forever soundtrack has some real gems in it. The strength of "Galactic S-O-U-L" alone was enough to send me off looking for the OST.

At one party I told a girl I was mentally handicapped but didn't make any effort to pretend I was. I recounted to her a story of how I was in the Special Olympics, speaking as intelligently as I could with big words and a sophisticated charm. I spent the rest of the night acting normal and exactly how I would on any other night. Okay, I actually made a point to use larger words whenever she was around.

Apparently, at one point, she went up to one of my friends and asked "how could he be so smart if he's retarded."

Explaining to him why she thought I was mentally handicapped was just as much fun.

50's style covers of modern songs are pretty much the coolest thing ever.

Also it's very weird to hear the Fresh Prince theme song sung like this.
