I've known about FlippyCat too, my first favourite video was a FlippyCat video and I still get it in "##### you might like" but I'm not subscribed.

I think it's because FlippyCat's gotten at least two featured videos or something.

They no longer impress me.

Anyway,

The stuff you like part of Youtube seems to have nothing to do with what you subscribe to and everything to do with just your history of watched stuff and/or what you've favourited. I get sent a lot of links to youtube so weird ##### always shows up in mine.
