One common problem with home-schooling children is that they develop almost no social skills. Interacting with other kids is fundamental.

But that still turns out little #####s so whatever.

Majikn, you completely misinterpreted the kid. He wasn't shy at all. In fact he was very outgoing. Shyness is entirely different beast. He just lacks social skills which he'll hopefully develop later.

And yeah, the interviewer was really dumb, and that's where a lot of my laughs came from. Especially when she thought he got it right. (And watch the kid's face change from happy to heartbroken! Priceless.)

It's just the whole situation and how horribly the interview went. All the factors, like the socially inept kid, the generally inept interviewer, and the whole home-schooling and spelling bee backdrop... and that it's live. Oh man.

Hmm.

I don't find it creepy. Sad. Not pathetic, just sad.

Having very little "social skills" myself, even if I'm better at it now than I was, I see how important it is to have.

And yeah, ASR, socially inept is a much more accurate term for what I wanted to say. I suppose I linked the two together because I was both; one symptom following the other.

I don't think she was dumb, she was just in a ##### interview and that's really difficult to work out. I think she just expected him to get it right so she just programmed her brain to say he did while she tried to work out other stuff about an escape plan.

The whole time she was basically thinking "Why... This isn't a parachute it's a backpack!"

Ha. I was talking to Mike on Facebook about my friend telling me Will Arnett was a guest star on Sesame Street as a magician, like GOB.

So I just found the Youtube video.

I'm not done watching it, but it's amusing enough, and similar enough to GOB, I guess.

God. I seem to be the only posting in here lately.

This video is for anyone who's played Donkey Kong Country 2 and loves the Brambles music.

Yeah, if I were pressed to name my single favourite song from any video game ever, Stickerbrush Symphony would be it.

Which reminds me, I should get back to tweaking that midi...

That's my personal favorite videogame track of all time, yeah.

But generally I don't have a second-favorite or anything.

In my opinion, the top three videogame soundtracks of all time are:
1) Donkey Kong Country 2
2) Banjo-Kazooie
3) MegaMan 1-6 NES (I count it as one soundtrack, sue me.)

Yes, DKC2 had a lot of gold tunes, but for now, I'll post this.

Some Subliminal messaging in Spongebob. A lot of them are obvious, but some I guess flew over my head when I was younger. (ANY PORN IN THIS STORE?)

"Any porn in this store?"

Seriously?

Anyway, most of that stuff only sounds sexual or dirty in the context of a video claiming it all is.

The part where Patrick forms the sand into a phallic shape and licks it is hilarious, though.

I just watched the Mirror's Edge and Spore ones. The Spore video was great.

Posted on: 11 December 2008, 23:54:05

I finished The Soul Calibur 4 one and I must say that his videos are quite creative interesting and amusing that he has even gotten the voice(s) in my head talking at a ridiculous speed with no end to the speech in sight I cannot tell you if I'm finding this exactly funny myself because half of me is laughing like a 3-month old baby trying to reach a dangling twinkie tied to a piece of string while the other half is thinking please stop please stop for the love of god please stop while he struggles to get up from the floor from the fetal position he's currently in maybe that's unrealistic because I'm not exactly thinking this whole post non-stop but my brain is feeding me it so it's just as good but nonetheless that was a good video

Yeah I was doing his voice in my head part of the day out of sheer boredom and it was really amusing and got me taking stock of all things in my life but not things you'd expect like a current relationship (none) or opportunities (none) or ##### like that really I mean I went on about dinosaurs for one part and then also about flags and I guess flags were on my mind 'cause flags were in that thread I made about flags and flag related insignias but it was actually some interesting stuff I could probably write down and make something out of however his voice actually stopped after a while and my normal punctuation kicked back in so it was all my own style but thinking very fast in a short time opened me up to ranting within the drastically un-confined space of my mind.

I eventually started watching ones whether I even knew about the game or not. I know literally nothing of Braid other than the name but I'll go watch it. I think it's best when you know something of the game, but they're all good.

The hatemail one is a good aside.

The webcomics one was good, too.

Oh, and Braid. Ugh. I downloaded it because EVERYONE (and their mums) (and the farmer's mums) were praising it as if it had singlehandedly wiped out the entire Nazi army only to find that it was only decent at best but clearly being overpraised because of how artsy-farsy it was and although I enjoyed about six or seven minutes of it I decided that I'd really rather be playing something like Not Braid.

But yeah, even the Braid video was basically praising it!

Though in its defense it IS a good game, I just don't see why everyone was so happy with it.

I saw this video ages ago, one of my absolute favorites on Youtube:

Cuppy Cake Boy

So, today we found the original footage of a 3-year-old girl recording it in 1994:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12Z6pWhM6TA&feature=related

And THEN, we found the girl all grown up (quite nicely, I might add) singing it side-by-side with the Cuppy Cake Boy who lipsynced it! Which I thought was really cool:

One of his friends. It STILL makes me laugh. It's got great viral-video potential.

Spread it, my friends. Internet humiliation!

His family is coming with mine to Aruba for 10 days, and even though he's great fun to mess around with, I definitely can't be in his vicinity for that long.
