Haha, my MMM MUSIC VIDEOOOOOO.

The part where Nova flies onto the screen is still awesome, but, see, Wind still needs to finish his drawing for that part.

I'm like 1/4th done with it. I want to finish it before I leave for college, which is on August 24th, so if I get creative while I still have time to be creative, you guys might get to see it.

Not horrible, honestly. The sprite, I mean. The avatar itself is just... too red? Among other things. I don't know, it's not bad, but it sort of is. Font, too.

Good work on the sprite, though, that looks fine.

I think your problem is just a lack of transparent background, something I can't currently help you with. If you provide the raw sprite image, someone can probably make the background transparent for you.

Or you actually clicked the video I linked to that showed the Maka-Maka battles against the redux versions of the four Heavenly Emperors and you actually sat through to at least the part where you fought this guy (translated as Demon Gigantis by me, not sure how correct it is, though) and saw his manly face.

Or you just saw him from some bizarre Japanese incarnate thing...

It's easy enough to cut out the background, especially with as pixelated an edge as a sprite has.

It doesn't look half bad, I dare say.

Yeah, it's definitely not a bad first attempt. It's got just enough customization to not look like every other custom 8-bit sprite, and it doesn't look ugly and stupid, either.

And yeah, Vinch, I clicked that video and skimmed through parts of it. That's what it was.

Yesterdays sprite was kind of a test off my skills just to see how I could do before I tried editing any other sprites.
I need to know again,
how exactly does this look?
For some reason I feel as though something is wrong with the sprite...
I dunno'...maybe I'm just being self-conscious 'cause my skills with computers suck.

This would be easier to discuss in the Sprite thread.

For one thing, MegaMan 7's sprite is very bad to use for a human, so that's not your fault.

What you did do wrong, though, is mix different line sizes. In sprite-work, thats very, very bad. You have to keep the line sizes the same throughout the whole piece or it looks really bad (what I mean by line sizes is that thin black line in your hair compared to the thick black lines on his legs).

Another thing, you use standard colours Paint uses. Those aren't good to use because they're not really natural in the real world, you need to make your own colours (double-click the colour and then practice with the colour wheel to the right of the new window that opened).

Theres pointers from a spriter who does OK work. People like Snare and Yubi are the masters at this kind of thing here, you can probably get their feedback in the sprites thread.

Hey, I really like that MM7 sprite, saldite! They're all crazy, it looks great. You have your own style of shading, and it reminds me of cel-shaded videogames. The left arm (his right) looks a little wonky, though. Maybe too fat. Other than that, it looks great, man.
