Has anyone else heard of this amazing game? It looks like its going to be a mindblower. If you haven't heard of it, get on google and just search for Spore and it will bring up a ton of really cool images and websites. I personally am syched for this one.

Yea, I can't believe how big the game will be. It's crazy. I heard that there are 500,000 stars and each one can have four planets orbitting around them. You can explore each planet too. That is insane. And then there's the huge creature database that stores every creature that every player makes XD

Yea, after all, EA is in charge of it, but I really don't think that Will Wright would let them destroy his dream game. They might try to be greedy bastards with it though as EA is usually. I really hope they don't try to make us pay for other user created content, but they might try to pull some subscription thing out of their arse. That would suck. But I heard that here in about two months or so they're going to realease a preview of the creature creator for like $8. I'm buyin it for sure, it looks like its the best feature of the game.

You have to re regester/confirm you have a valid licence every 10 days via internet or you can't play the game at all.  Not even in single player.

Pray you don't lose internet connection on day 9.  Or go/do anything/anywhere without internet access for a while.  Or that the verification servers don't crash from everyone trying to validate their legally purchased copy.  Or some pirate doesn't get your key on a key gen and void your copy.

Yeah, ##### these guys.  This does nothing to stop piracy and only makes honest customers jump through hoops to play it.

I can't remember what game it was, but my friend recently bought a genuine copy of some PC game that he simply could not get to work due to all this type of malarky.

This is why I only buy console games now.

If only FPS controls worked on 360, I'd be happy.

I found an article on Gamespot today and I almost cried for joy. (Not really)

EA and Bioware have both announced that they are dropping the old 10-day check- system for good. Also, the full version of the creature creator comes out June 15 for $9.99. You can upload and save your creations and everything. It sounds like EA is actually listening to people. 0.0

I saw the original Sonic cartoon for sale on DVD at Blockbuster.

I almost considered buying it.

I decided against it for the sake of not realizing how bad it really was in comparison to how awesome child-me thought it was.

After you download the Creature creator you can save your creature as a tiny PNG thumbnail.

Other people can save this in their My Creatures Folder (In My Documents) and use it in their Creator.

EA is going to have rules and stuff against creations that they deem inappropriate.
Yeah, and they'll ban you from the game and stuff.
Seriously, EA makes Spore lamer and lamer every second.

I installed it, but everytime I try and start it my compute tells me:
Could not create Graphics Device. Direct X is unavailable. [1002]
I haven't found any good advice on how to fix it.
I've downloaded Direct X 9.0c and everything and it still won't work.
Anyone know what I should do?
