I voted Mega Man because he is the Icon that got me into Video Games and kept me playing them. Donkey Kong because I was nicknamed after him in school, and Black Mage because I just recently started playing Final Fantasy 1 again.

I voted MegaMan, Donkey Kong, and Rayman.

MegaMan for obvious reasons, Donkey Kong for the absolutely flawless DKC series (and DK64), and Rayman because Rayman 2 was one of my favorite games when I was younger.

Megaman, Kirby and Black Mage, although really I wish Cloud were there instead of Black Mage. As much as I hate Cloud now for being such a popular character, I used to love him.

I stand by my previous picks (Mega Man, Earthworm Jim, Simon Belmont), but still think this poll fails due to the sheer number of great video game characters out there. There are simply too many awesome characters still missing, and a lot of the characters on the poll simply fail.

Uhm, why the hell is R.O.B. on there? Not everyone in a Smash Bros. game is a "Video Game Icon". Neither is Metaknight and if I look closer at the list I'm certain I'll find more. Popular character ≠ Icon. Icons are like the symbol of the game series; Your Sonics, your Kirbys, your Marios. They are the game.

I've just voted now; MM, Link, Ness. I'd add Sonic and Mario in too but NOOOO w're only allowed threeeee!

Aside from Megaman...None I REALLY like are on that list.

My favs are...Jazz Jackrabbit, Commander Keen, and Megaman of course.

Its hard to pick just three though...Sonic, Mario, and Link are great too.
