This game is great, I just killed Galaxy Man and I'm at Hornet Man now. I noticed though when you use the hair styles book (which costs 20 bolts to get, then another 20 if you want your helmet back -_-) you take double the damage from enemies, when you die, you have your helmet back

I don't see it, and it's 11:30. Maybe it'll pop-up in 30-45 minutes.

Posted on: 22 September 2008, 16:26:54

Oh yeah. Yesterday at Ikeoko's house, I was playing Mega Man 2. In the middle of a boss fight with Bubble Man, I jumped up near the boss door to dodge an attack and I got hit.

A boss door appeared on the other side of the room and sent me through it. I was in a glitchy underwater version of Wily Stage 3.

YOU CAN'T GET OUT. THERE'S A LADDER, TWO WEAPON ENERGY THINGS, AND THAT'S IT. YOU CAN'T CLIMB LADDERS.

I had to reset.

Happened to me once too, probably a holdover from testing.

Poo-poo to you guys for being home right now, I have to wait 'till 3PM for my MM9 goodness.

YAY I DOWNLOADED THE GAME

And I've failed horribly at Tornado Man's stage, but I only died once on Concrete Man's stage and even though I started the battle with low HP, I managed to defeat him on my first time.

I've recorded my playing and will be put on YouTube after class is over.

Posted on: 22 September 2008, 12:54:50

Also when I beat Concrete Man, I got a message saying "Eco Challenge Completed"

Did anyone else get that? >_>

Just downloaded the game a bit ago.
I've decided to play it in short bursts since it is, as expected, frustratingly hard for me.

I decided to knock out Concrete Man first. The stage was meh, and he's a mediocre boss. Simple attack pattern, so I was lucky I started with him. "Eco Challenge" means to beat a boss without using any special weapons; invariably this will happen with you beat the first boss.

I then tried Plug Man. Stage has some infuriating block bits in it, and one strategically placed met that I hate with a fiery passion. When I finally got to Plug Man, he killed me nicely.
Same thing with Tornado Man, although the stage is pretty cool. It is hard, though.

Out of ideas for what to use my concrete block on, I went to Galaxy Man's stage.
Easy stage with some cool effects. Managed to be Galaxy Man, too.

Went off to Hornet Man's stage on a hunch. Once again a tough stage (%&!%ING SCISSORS, but Hornet Man himself has an easy pattern.
Stopped there.
Galaxy Man is weak to the concrete block, and Hornet Man's bees can be diverted by the black hole bomb (which surprised me), although hornet man himself is barely scratched by it.
So far, so good.

So far I've beaten Tornado Man, Splash Woman, Concrete Man, and Galaxy Man in that order.

This game is way easier than they were toting it as.

Doing Hornet Man next.

I'm already at the Wily Stages. Like an hour ago. You guys...

YOU'RE TOO SLOW!

Surprisingly enough, I just attacked the Robot Masters without  a hint of strategy, and I most of the time had a weakness weapon on hand.

No problem. Plug Man was hard as hell. I think he wins the award for hardest RM in this game.

I'm at Wily's Castle finally!

I wonder how hard it would have been to sell little SD cards with the game on them that you could just plug into your Wii and copy the game over and then it would delete the game from the SD card.

Or like, make it a disc. With a case. And a little book. That could be sold. In many stores. Worldwide. Like normal people. Since not everyone can connect their Wii to the internet.

Holy hell this game is good!

Concrete and Plug man were easy only cause of watching the youtube videos.

Tornado man was a bit tough but once you figure out how the magnetic things work then it can go simple from there.

I think Splash Woman is the easiest boss to beat since her fishes are destructable and her attack pattern is the same.  There is no change up.

I was at Wily Stage 2. I got owned. And now I'm taking a break.

The game's great, but there are some annoying parts.

Wily Stages feel like living hell right now.

They did? I think it was actually a bit different.

Also, did anyone else buy the Roll Costume thinking it'd let you play as her? As soon as I bought it and saw her change, I reset the game. >_>

It changes Roll's sprite "costume" to another costume.

For me it changed it to her MM8 costume.

I enjoyed it. Had I rushed it really, I would've beat it in 3 hours.

That was incredibly fun, and pretty difficult. Not overwhelming, but it satisfies.

I sorta wish it was longer. MM4-6 had four "final" stages and then four Wily Stages. I was expecting four Light stages or something.

EDIT: Also, yeah. I actually bought the Roll Costume. That was incredibly stupid. I didn't bother with the hairstyle book.

Just use your monies on E-Tanks and stuff.

Yeah, that, the energy balancer (which is only useful as a side note), M Tank and all the E Tanks you can hold are all that it's worth spending bolts on.

I Game Over'd at Wily 3 and decided to break again. Can't remember what got me, but it was stupid and I was on 0 lives for the past two stages.

I'm finding the level design to be pretty clever so far. Maybe not MM2 or MM3 good, but it's in there with the big boys. It's NES Megaman, through and through.

I know, I made the mistake of leaving the second stage in Wily's Fortress to fill up on E-tanks. To my surprise, went right back to stage one (I thought we were past this, Capcom).
