I don't know about this season but last season had more appeal than the American one for some reason. I guess the dancers were just better.

Weirdly, I don't even watch either but they sometimes marathon it on Sundays and such.

Steve-O was on the last season (American.)

So that was weird.

Didn't watch.

The first episode of Dexter Season 4 leaked early... on Showtime's own site, no less! I assume it was meant for press, but anyone can watch it.

And I'm anyone.

And I did.

Holy CRAP. Best show on TV right now by far. I have zero doubts now. AMAZING fourth season set-up, it's the best the show has ever been and this is going to be, quite possibly, the greatest season of anything on TV ever.

I mean, it's perfect. John Lithgow is going to rock this show to its core.

I'm pissed that I have to wait 6 weeks now, especially since it ended on a pretty crazy cliffhanger.

I still have to finish Season 3...

The DVDs should be out soon anyways, though.

Season 3 came out on DVD yesterday.

Also, I know how I kept saying "best", "greatest", "ever", etc. And that's a little ridiculous.

But it was seriously THAT good.

Yeah that would be sweet, I'd want to try it too, it's more that I'm kind of too busy to bother and if I start something I have a hard time stopping even if I don't like it.

Started up season 1 of lost for the first time.

Only watched 4 episodes thus far but...

It's pretty good. I keep watching it because I want to know why everything is happening the way it is!

Lost doesn't ROCK and good luck finding anything out Vinch. But I still watch it, it's not bad but it's not at all as good as everyone seems to think it is. It's better now than when it started, since that was ONLY bull##### 'wtf' moments.

If I didn't get into Lost when I did, I'd probably never watch it. I'd think it was stupid and annoying and all that, and make fun of people who watched it.

There's a LOT of better shows out there, but if you get sucked into it Lost is a lot of fun. I enjoy it quite a bit. It's a big-scale show and the island is pretty awesome.

Mike's right, though. It doesn't ROCK. The more I watch other shows, the clearer this gets.

Mad Men tonight had a successful businessman wearing blackface and singing slave songs to his 20-something secretary fiance.

Guess which part of that I thought was hilarious.

Lost finally makes sense to me.

All of it is a hallucination of Hurley's, and he created Libby to convince myself that the Island is real. It all makes sense.

No, the fact you watched Grey's Anatomy is weird. The fact I got what you meant without ever watching a full episode of that trite is ever weirder so I have to leave the thread now.

I bought the first season of Buffy on a whim while grocery shopping because it was only $15 at Wal-Mart.

I like it. It's cheesy in a fun way, like Doctor Who.

X-play, it's like a video game magazine. But it's a show. And it's never late. And you don't have to pay for it. And the hosts like Psychonauts. A lot.

At least I can enjoy Lifetime ironically. And the Food Network has "What Would Brian Boitano Make?"

A few weeks back, something clicked in the back of my head during some random conversation and I decided to go look up Charlie Jade again (The average American, unfortunately, has never heard of this show) after neglecting to properly keep up with it during its original run four years ago.

It's now the only series I've ever finished then gone straight back to the beginning to watch all the way through again. It is seriously amazing, provided you pay attention (casual viewers will just get confused), and it's only twenty episodes, so like 15 hours of runtime.

Highly suggest you check it out if you have a lot of time to kill (it shows up on surfthechannel but I don't know whether any of the links work, and good luck ever getting a region 1 DVD set - it's not happening)

Looked it up, sounds like standard sci-fi fare like Sliders or something. But yeah, I've never heard of it before and I'm only judging it by the Wikipedia article.

This post is for ASR, pretty much.

I caught some of the start of an episode of Weeds last night. It seems good, but I'm still not certain it's my thing. It was least interesting and comical. It was the first episode of the season where Nancy is preggo like an eggo.

Interlude: I watched a Curb Your Enthusiam rerun, still love it.

After that, I caught the start of an episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia where the three dumb guys are putting pictures of stuff they want in life on bristol. Like one guy wants to impregnate Danica Patrick (I disagree. Her face is fine and all but she's like 5 foot nothing and bowlegged.) and another guy wants to basically be the Extreme Home Makeover guy. It was good. I might start watching the show while I do work sometime.

Weeds: You caught the beginning of Season 5, the most recent season. You need to start with Season 1 and stop with Season 3. 4 and 5 are awful... I mean, 5 was good and saved the series, but it's nowhere near the same level of 1-3. And 4 is just plain bad. Don't judge the show based on what you just saw, check out the very first episode and you'll know if you like it from there.

Curb: ...will always rock. I cannot wait for the new season.

Always Sunny: Funniest show on TV right now. You'd love it, you really need to check it out. It's right up your alley. It's commonly described as "Seinfeld on crack", and even though it's obviously very different and in a completely different ballpark from Seinfeld, it's still a somewhat accurate description... if only because it's a 3-man 1-girl cast (and Danny Devito) who are all very awful people.

I've seen Weeds before but I didn't like it. This I liked. So maybe I saw a season 4 episode. I wasn't judging the whole show based on that one season 5 ep, but I see what you mean. No matter what I'd start from season 1 either way.

Can't wait for the Sein episode of Curb in the new season.

Like I said, ASiP is on the list now.

It shows I didn't really read the article.

As much I love Seinfeld, I don't know if I want the whole season to be that.
But I'mma still watch and even if it's the worst season of Curb yet, it'll be great.

The thing about season arcs on Curb is that they really don't take up very much of the limelight. I mean, I'm sure we'll get more arc-centric episodes this season than previous ones, but don't expect it to be overdone or anything.

I just finished a full marathon of Always Sunny Season 4 in its entirety with some friends... in one sitting.

GODDAMNIT THURSDAYS.

Just sat through:

Parks and Recreation
The Office
Community (new show, liked it)
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Archer (new show by the guys who made Frisky Dingo, LOOOOVED it)

I think I'm going to drop Parks and Recreation because it's very mediocre and 2 1/2 hours is way too much. Though Archer was only a sneak peek and doesn't really start until January.

I love Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones and Aubrey Plaza, and the guy who plays Amy Poehler's boss is really funny. The ex-boyfriend of Rashida's character is hilarious, too. But I hate Amy Poehler and the show is pretty lame in general.

The Office was bleh, it's too... it's too something now but I don't know what. It's just going. It just is. It just exists now.

Community made me a fan of Joel McHale. I've never cared for the guy, but it wasn't a like or dislike thing. I nothing'd him. I nothing The Soup, and I nothing'd all of his guest spots I've seen him in on other shows. But he did a good job in Community and that was a nice surprise. It had that black guy from Derrick Comedy in it, John Oliver from The Daily Show (who I quite like) ...oh, and Chevy Chase!
The writing was pretty solid and I laughed a few times. Color me impressed, I wasn't expecting much and I only watched it because it was something to watch between The Office and Always Sunny.

Speaking of Always Sunny: soooooooo glad it's back. Hilarious episode.
