Right. That's an interesting little piece of text there.

Once you have the ability to travel through time, measuring time becomes irrelevant. Therefore that sentence is rendered obsolete as time travel "has been invented" and "will be invented" at the same time.

Time isn't actually measurable. We just force it to see that way so that we can perceive it.

Much like drawing; You force depth to make something look 3D when it can't possibly be 3D as it's on paper and stuck in the second dimension.
