Where did that come from?
Seriously. Cite a source, otherwise it's coming from your behind.
I'm pretty sure dates in the Classic series ended with 20XX anyway. There's been no specific date. [/quoteI read it on Mega Man Wikia, is that a reliable source.

There's two things I'd like to say about the MegaMan Wikia that aren't necessarily bad; 1) It's got a lot more information than it needs. 2) It assumes the sort that go there can read. What I'm saying here is that the "2016" part, was probably a segment of speculation from fans, it was probably labelled as speculation properly, but the reader, of course, missed that. I am also saying that the entry about the speculation has no business being on the site in the first place, and it's all too easy to have a site that's too comprehensive. LOOOOOOOOL
We do not know exactly when Mega Man X was sealed in his capsule, but the approximation of the year 2016 is a fair calculation as this is roughly when the Wily Wars comes to an end. This would concur with the opening of the capsule- the copyright date on Cain's computer is 2114, and since his computer is most likely not brand-new, 2116 is a fair date (we know that X was supposed to have been sealed for a century). I'm sorry, can you honestly say there's much flaw in that logic? I don't agree with it, but it's not actually a ridiculous theory, assuming Wily Wars actually said the year(s) it happened during. Wikipedia doesn't get enough credit. It's actually pretty accurate MOST of the time, just not 100% reliable. It's a great way to do private research just for your own interest.
Just not for actual reports and essays and such.
Exactly. The real Wikipedia gets a bad rap because anyone can edit it, but that doesn't mean any edit goes through. Half the time, if you don't put a full on cite when you edit, it doesn't go through (I've tried with the Mumia Abu-Jamal page, but couldn't be bothered to get a link). They have dedicated staff that spend all #####ing day fact-checking. Actually to quote from the book I've been reading; "No editor ever questioned what I wrote, but I assume that's the World Book way. They pick an expert and trust that the expert won't abuse the privilege. In fact, having been selected to be an author in the World Book, I now believe that Wikipedia is a perfectly fine source for your information, because I know what the quality control is for real encyclopedias."-- page 42, The Last Lecture, Randy Pausch (with Jeffrey Zaslow). Good book.

Hello new friend! I am ever so delighted and gladend to see another obviously intellectual Mega Man aficionado to converse about inane, make believe fanfiction bull##### spewed from a gaping learning disabled sphincter of a mouth!
Oh wait. No I'm not. As banning you for just being a slack jawed inbred douchebag ass master redneck would be beneath us here, break ONE rule, ANY rule, no matter how minor and I WILL ban you. And nothing of value will be lost. ENJOY YOUR STAY HERE AT MMM.
Sorry for being generic and cliche, but lol. I think I'm gonna like this mod. As for the Mega Man Wikia, there's a certain part of one page I found quite silly, and shouldn't be how a sentence in a Wiki should be. Here's a quote from the page on Blast Hornet: When playing Zero in Mega Man Xtreme 2, you can waste the big bug with Dash. Doesn't sound intellectual.
