Well, I forgive you. So that's fine with me at least.

Anyway, this idea came to me a few days ago, and so I quickly drew it out on paper. Feel free to outdo it, because I wasn't going for "art", but really, the idea of it all.

This also explains what everyone's weak against.

If you need an explaination, I'll start with Mikero:
Mikero grabs his ninja stars but due to being strangled from Snare's vine, drops it and stabs Chaos in the eye.
Chaos spazzes and spams Chaos Clones, which begin to annoy Edgecrusher.
Edgecrusher shrouds a veil of darkness, blinding Vinchenz.
Vinchenz panicks and Psi Punches WIND in the face.
WIND accidentally Wind Blasts at NovaMan.
The wind blast pushes Nova's buster up, and fires at John.
Nova's flames incinerate John's beard, who flails his axe upward by accident.
John's axe cuts off Snare's arm, sticks to the ceiling, holding Snare's arm/vine in place.
Snare's arm accidentally grabs Mikero's scarf, which starts to hang Mikero.
Repeat.
Vines would trap, and the only power on the board that I think could stop someone as fast as a ninja, so it works out.

A preview of what I'm working on with Mikero's stage.

The only thing recolored are the windows, from the Special Stage in Mega Man 9.

That looks about right. I also imagined Mikero stages being a dark city. I'd make the windows less vibrant though, maybe a dark purple or something. But I guess you only have certain colours to work with.

I'm basing my work off of Mega Man 9, and that game broke the color limitations, so color changing shouldn't be a big problem.

Essentially, for colors, the windows are either gonna be blue and the city background dark purple, or the windows dark purple and the city background blue.

Personally, I think the blue windows look better.

Also, I made some slight modifications to the design.

EDIT: Darker purple added.

Even orange windows fit a Mikeropia look in my head man, so go with what you want and it'll probably be cool.

Downloading it. I'll listen it during my run tomorrow. Because the weather is great and I can start running again.

It's worth a buy, but yeah whatever. It'll be good for running, I think.

I thought they WERE shuriken until you said that :D
I should look more closely next time.

Forgot to mention I like the idea of the background being a static city or moon, by the way. That actually creates more sense of depth, you see. In animation (before all this computer #####) they used something called the multi-plane camera to create this effect. Things don't all move in perspective at the same time. Explaining further would mean really nerding out and ##### and going on and on.

I think they call it a parallax background in the gaming world, but I know exactly what you're talking about.

The foreground moves quicker than the background as you scroll, creating the aforementioned sense of depth.

Parallax is the yellow living embodiment fear entity in DC Comics. The foil of Ion (the green entity, living embodiment of will power) and was ultimately responsible for the "yellow impurity" that plagued the Green Lanterns Corps for decades.

I figure that if you did, not that you do but if you did, want to get into DC Comics, you should read GL. I mean obviously for the green, you'd love that, but it's also been written by Geoff Johns for a while and he's the best DC writer right now in my opinion. All the current best books are written by him, hah.

What I actually do want to do is read some graphic novels or those comic collections or whatever, so when I finally get around to doing that, I'll come to you for suggestions. A friend has that Batman GN, The Long Halloween, which I heard was good and I'm gonna' read that sometime soon.

Edit: Hidden to keep Chaos' thread Chaos'.
Ooooof no matter what, it's kind of confusing. Anything written by Geoff Johns is probably good. Don't go further back in time than Green Lantern: Rebirth until later. Unfortunately DC has an issue with numbering volumes, in that they either don't do it or do it seemingly at random. It's still confusing for me, I'm not always completely sure I'm reading something new.

Also there's two GL series right now; Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps. The former pretty much deals with Hal Jordan or the acting GL of sector 2814 at the time, and the latter deals with the entire Corps and isn't written by Johns but I still really like it. I find both good, and it helps during big GL events if you read the Corps book so you know who the other GLs are (there's 7200 in total right now)

A short list (in timeline order) of good GL books;

Green Lantern: The Last Will And Testament Of Hal Jordan (don't read this first)
Green Lantern: Rebirth
Green Lantern Corps: Recharge
Green Lantern Corps: To Be A Lantern
Green Lantern Corps: The Dark Side Of Green
The Sinestro Corps War (huge crossover event)
Tales Of The Sinestro Corps (supplemental to the above)
Green Lantern: Wanted: Hal Jordan
Green Lantern Corps: Ring Quest
Green Lantern: Secret Origin (goes back in time to tell a secondary story along with Hal Jordan's origin story, so maybe that's a good first pick)

There's a ton of older stuff but this is what comes after Rebirth (other than Last Will and Testament). And really going back any further than that you get into DC extremely convoluted timeline. I think this is everything I have, too. I'd have to check. But it takes extra long for GL trades to get released.
Also, the two Ion trades were good.
Not to take over Chaos' thread :/

So, just from that list, I'll probably check out either GL: Rebirth, or GL: Secret Origins.

I plan on delving more into the world of superhero comics over the summer, since this stuff has really interested me in recent years, but as a kid I was never big on 'em.

Not to take over Chaos' thread :/

It's 'aight. It's all good as long as it's spoiler tagged.

Annie says purple fits better with the night, while blue fits with daytime. I'll stick with purple, and make the cities in the background blue.

Of course, the majority will be black, and a few stars here and there.

And as for a moon, I don't really know about that, but I do have an idea for the boss room.

And for the spikes, I'll try the shuriken thing, but I don't want to make them look too much like shurikens. The aim is to have them be like death spikes, not a Japan Style stage knock-off from MMPU.

If you're gonna' do shurikens, make them diagonal like "x" and not... the other one, like "+". But yeah, do shurikens.

I also beg to differ on the window color thing: I think dark navy blue > orange > purple. But they're all great choices. But if you use a purple, don't use the one you have.

Man, this is inspiring me to make my own stage and all that jazz.

You can do six prong shuriken. They'll look more spike-like while still actually being shuriken.

The problem with dark blue, ASR, is that it's kind of bland for 8-bit midground. That purple could be a bit darker though. Mikeropia is somewhat creepily dark at night, since it's in crisis. It's kind of like a Gotham City sort of thing, but more gritty like Basin City (Sin City).

I was thinkin' that while I was making the gray buildings, because initially they were blue, but that didn't work out so I tried gray and I said to myself, "This is an 8-bit version of Sin City..."

I'll try to make the purple darker, but my concern is to still keep it all colorful like a Classic NES game.

EDIT: Darkened the shade of the windows, but I didn't upload to this post. Scroll back up to see it. I uploaded it to a previous post so you can compare.

So I've been looking for a theme for my stage, I looked for a catchy tune that was a fast and heavy rock song, resembling punk. Obviously I couldn't find one, especially something with a catchy tune. Then I thought, instead of using punk, what about Daft Punk? And I thought of using this.

Aerodynamic

It's a simply awesome song, but it'd need to be a remix to match my stage. So I browsed Newgrounds audio thinking they might have something I liked. And found this.

8-bit Aerodynamic

S'good, but still needs to be an actual remix.
