It's the UNmixed Meta-Knight's Revenge music, which oddly isn't in the soundtrack rip.

'cuz teh song was thar put untp of vid with teh editings

That's what I meant when I posted "It's obviously, and easily, fake."

The rules I set up for Melee are:

Stock Match: 4 Lives
Match Clock: 8 Minutes
ALL Items on (With minimum appearance).
Loser selects the stage.

My setup in Brawl will probably be pretty similar to that.

For me;

3 Stock Match unless we have a 2.0 battle. Then it's 5 stock.
NO TIME TIEM SUKZ
Loser selects stage.
Explosive items set to high.

Unfortunately, as much as I love playing on stages like Brinstar, Onett and Pokemon Floats, my friends always, ALL THE TIME, pick Temple, Great Bay, Yoshi's Island, and Final Destination. UGH.

And when we do play on the stages I like, they stop playing seriously.

Brinstar is meh, Onett is good, PokéMon Floats is kind of fun once in awhile but ultimately is just stupid.

For tournament or not; We play on stock, 3 lives. Time is crap. We don't play with items though. Winner selects the stage.

I actually ran a test, Roy is a little slower than Marth, not barely slower, but actually slower. It shouldn't matter unless you're a tournyfag though.

He is slower enough to notice it, yes, but it's really marginal if you're a good player. The timing of his attacks is barely offset if your skills are good enough. That's not me saying yours aren't, that's just in general.

A Marth player VS a Roy player. Both of them have EXACT equal skills.

The Marth player will win becuase of tiers.

I wasn't being serious about that tiers thing.

Tiers are more or less a list of fighters (for any fighting game) that have the slight advantage over another character pased on speed, power, and how often an attack can be spammed. Usually made by the fighting game's nerd fanboys and not official sources.

The main advantage I know Marth has over Roy is the fact that he hits harder with the tip of his sword and Roy hits harder with the middle of his sword. I'm pretty sure Roy has a slightly better recover or something though. Plus fire.

That's about the full extent of my melee knowledge because I never researched anything and just messed around noobert style and I happened upon that information by random chance.

Also I managed to get into my head the idea that Jigglypuff is a male somehow, yet you're calling it a she. Now I'm gender confused and it's all your fault.

I didn't say you did. This was just something I felt needed to be said.

Also, Roy was actually stronger.

A full 99-stock game with 4-players is fun no matter what if you manage to sit through it all. At first it's all fun and games and everyone is just messing around but by the end it's serious and competitive.

Gigally Puff!

Oh wow, small Melee stages are small.

One day, before Brawl comes out, my friends and I plan on having the longest smash bros Melee battle ever. No time, no stock, 1.0, all items set to HIGH on Final Destination.

We'll attempt to fight as long as we possibly can. Long after our eyes burn off.

Anyway, I hope you realize that Gigallypuff video was done in Giant Mode, too.

OH.

Anyway, sometime last week I decided to play through Classic Mode on Very Hard with every character (SSBM). It's a LOT harder than I thought, and I've used a ton of continues. Right now, I'm finishing up with my last one: Mewtwo. I don't know why I saved him for last.

Heh, I only beat classic mode on very hard once with Peach. >_>

I unlocked EVERYTHING in Melee so I didn't really care anymore at that point. However, multiplayer is STILL fun, and I've owned the game for seven years now.

And that's why I have huge expectations for Brawl.

Feel free.

I just don't see how that's fun.

It's like people who play "Cat & Mouse" in racing games (namely PGR2&3 in my experience), or snake when they play MKDS, or do anything idiotic to a perfectly fun game just because they can.

I remember being in a Street Fighter II tournament where in the last round they set the controllers up to only have weak punch and weak kick, and infinite time...

I won, but it was a stupid way to win that gave me little pleasure.

And then the guy I beat got jaundice a few years later.

I guess now I see what you mean, but it's not something I do very often. In fact, I don't think I've ever done it more than twice.
Snaking and the SFII rules described, among the other stuff you mentioned, is an entirely different subject. I do understand how you're relating them, but 99-stock in SSBM is more like letting kids loose in a playground.
Rather than doing it for misguided competitions, like snaking and weak punch/kicks, just mess around and literally do whatever you want. When the lives reach around 10, it becomes a regular match again once it evens out to about 5 each. Regardless, it's still not something I care nearly enough about to argue beyond this point.

I remember there was a vid in Brawl where Luigi did an insane recovery.

It was Side B, Down B, Up B. >_> It looked sweet.

That would be Side B, Down BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB (in one second) and Up B :D I can get almost-full distance with the Down-B trick too.

EDIT: Oh, nevermind, what the hell am I thinking? That was Melee.

Wow, that's a strange glitch. I guess THATs why the game was delayed, to fix that glitch.

Also, I just realized that the pictures and percentage thing gets more opaque when someone is behind it.

Stage Builder glitches are minute and unimportant. They aren't going to fix those because there are infinite possibilities and thus endless windows for glitches.

I downloaded a stage and was all like "AAAAAAHH ##### THIS IS AWESOME".

I can implement it, but there's a custom boss room in the stage that I can't copy. I went to Plutolighthouse for help, but of course, there's more silence there than there is in a silent fart.

I forgot how to do the custom boss-room glitch, personally. It was the very last glitch we discovered, and by far the best. There were a TON of problems with it, though. It involved the through-walls glitch and some other little things, but essentially you fall THROUGH the boss room and into the grid below. You get to fight in whatever arena you set up down there. Very hard to pull of without tons of glaring glitches, which is why I never uploaded any stages with it.

I might try and dig them up for you sometime. I'm pretty sure I made a backup of the Glitch Thread and the Robot Master Compendiums, which were basically full and extremely detailed master-guides on every tip and trick possible with each character. I don't think we got around to ProtoMan and Roll, though.
