Anyone heard anything/ played it? I hadn't heard ANYTHING about it until I saw a commercial today, and apparently it's out.

IGN gave it a 7 something, which is good considering they gave Mario Party 8 a 5.2

Why not just play Mario Party?
It's the same game, only more the same than before.

I have it.
It's portable, it's fun, it's quality, but it isn't anything amazing. It's definitely got a lot to do, though, and I'd admit it's worth $30, though I'd only reccomend it to people who know other DS owners.
There's no online WFC multiplayer, but it makes sense since the games take forever.
They at least pulled off a decent 1-Player experience.

I'm only going to get it if Download Play has a LOT of features.

Download Play does give all users full features. Entire game, just like Diddy Kong Racing did.

That stinks for me. I wanted to get it for my girlfriend, but I think she's going to get it for me. Before I thought "well it won't be a waste, we will have full features."

I got Mario Party 8 on the Wii. Didn't like it. I don't have a thought of ever getting Mario Party DS.

Yeah I rented MP8. It has like twelve minigames and four maps.

MP2 is still the best one, cowboy level and a space level.

I've given up on Mario Party. The only interesting ones I played were the first one and Mario Party 6.

MP6 for the ability to "make your own square". I liked the twist.

Others I played were Mario Party 5 and 7. They both fail.

I might get MPDS, but to be honest, I really don't plan on it.

MPDS is the first Mario Party game I've played since 3 (and I only played 1 before that, but a LOT), and it's the very first one I've ever actually owned.

Agreed.

I played it with four people once. It was hell, everyone was going: "That's so damn cheap! What the hell? This is rigged!"

It's a board game. There is supposed to be a large amount of randomness.

Yeah, but the game can make it so it's more annoying than helpful.

I'm not saying MP8 is a bad game... it's just I don't like it.

Mp DS was kinda the failure of the mario party games...im not saying its BAD, just not as good as any of the others (ok, MAYBE better than the one witht he rainbow cruise crap). Its kinda boring, and its just too simple...

I got terrible blisters from rotating the stick with the palm of my hand on the first Mario Party. I haven't been the same since.

The second one had cowboys and space. Therefore it's better than every single other one that didn't have anything of equal or greater value.
