Metroid Prime... and discovering why I stopped playing first-person shooting games. I really like it, but I'm not very good. I've been stuck for about 5 days now trying to kill this annoying Omega Pirate with a 'witchy-poo' hat.

I've also been playing Mario RPG off and on.

I think perhaps I did not fully understand what you were going to do with the fridge magnet.

And I'm too frightened to investigate further.

Mega Man 9.

And it's possible to lose Mega Man 9, Vin... it's called having your Wii explode.

You mean the way I'm spelling Megaman? Megaman 8 and Megaman & Bass both have it as "Megaman" (but then again, Megaman 9 has it as Mega Man but the title is Megaman... where was I going with this?)

If my Wii explodes I just tell Nintendo "yo dawg mah wii as-ploded" and Nintendo would be like "vinch mah boi i'll sends you a wii thatll let u download ur gaems 4 free."

And I'll be happy. Except all of my save files are gone.

I wasn't correcting you. I was just saying that was what I was playing.

I could care less how people spell it... especially since Capcom themselves spell it a million other ways.

I like spelling it MegaMan, but for some reason I sometimes put the space between it.

I used to spell it like MegaMan because of Battle Network. But I saw it as Megaman in 8 and & Bass and changed my ways.

But now its back to Mega Man...

I'm playing the "Reading books and drawing takes all my free time and keeps me from playing video games" game.

But on the weekend I finished getting 100% of all the gang turf in San Andreas. And I just have the final mission to do in it. But I never got that super pimp car store/garage thing available to buy and I don't get it. Unless I have to finish medal-ing the Driving School (which would be stuupidd).

It involves waterskis.

Actually I find wakeboards more precise now, however the traditional route is with water skis. Alternatively you can wrench planks out of a skid if you're in a pinch but I wouldn't. Of course, I'm never in a pinch so maybe I just can't relate.

I could care less how people spell it...

What I DO care about is how people say "I could care less" when what they really MEAN is "I couldn't care less". For whatever reason that always bothers me, like I could care a lot less about it than I do. The average person cares far less about it than I do.

I like and stay with MegaMan.

Same unless I want to be a big specific anal analhole about it.

I think by "I could care less" it means you care so less for it, that you could care even less of it if you wanted.

...I confused myself.

It's pretty simple. If you could care less about something, then you care about it at least a little bit, since there's lower levels of caring you could achieve. If you couldn't care less about it, then there's no further down.

Yeah, it means that he DOES care for it.

On the other hand, saying it in the proper form ,"I couldn't care less," suggests that there is no more un-care to care.

And thus you couldn't possibly spare the care to care about the thing.

Then you defeat the care bears and professor Cold Heart gives you Mentos in reward.

Until he changes his name to No Heart and his title to Wizard and wreaks havoc all over again, anyway. But I think the true villain here is a combo team of Beastly, MAD Cat, and Azrael.

It's just that Cold Heart has one catchy theme song.

Lately I haven't had time to play any games, but I've played a bit of Spore and Animal Crossing. I need to hook up my PS2 again. I feel the urge to play some Anniversay collections in celebration of MM9.

Could Spore and Animal Crossing be more different from each other?

Well, yes. A lot more. But still.

I feel the urge to play some Anniversay collections in celebration of MM9.

That's the opposite of celebrating MM9.

It sucks, but I have it, it's the easiest way for me to play said games at the moment, I might as well make use of it. That's all I'm saying.

And really, backwards jumping and shooting isn't THAT bad. You can't even like, argue that. You take a few seconds and get used to it. Then when you go back to the non-ports, take a few seconds, get used to it again. What's that going to do, ruin your life? If you can honestly say that, then sure it's THAT bad. But I'll still disagree on a personal level.

Regardless the only reason I have it is it was a gift.

I know, I play the Anniversary Collections because that's all I have (even though I own MM2 and MM3 on cartridges... I just don't own an NES.)

But I'm just saying, they ARE pretty bad.

I wouldn't call it an argument, because it's a FACT backwards controls are bad.  You don't get used to it, ever.  It can only ever JUST feel not akward enough to let you cripple your way though the game.

I never played any of the original Megaman games on NES. So addapting to the shoddy controls is easier for me. Still odd though.

As someone who never really got into Classic Megaman until later on in life, I have no trouble at all. They're definitely stupid, yeah I agree. I'm just saying it's not worth an episode of uncontrollable baby punching. You get used to it.

It's notable that I adapt easily to different controls and user interfaces and stuff like that. Though if I was playing Mega Man X where there's more than two buttons involved, that'd be a different story. The whole dash jump would have my thumb curving over the A while holding down the dash and I'd have difficulty keeping aerial control while trying to shoot. With Mega Man? Uh, A and B are switched. That means you move your thumb slightly differently for the same effect. I'm sorry, but that's not crippling to me.

It'll still trip you up almost every time you start to play.

But right, you can get used to it.
It just won't ever feel as smooth.

Anyway, I have the PS2 version of AC, and the buttons are in their proper MM7/8/X positions.
So no problem.

I heard that the game is short if you just plow through it, but getting all of the treasures and doing all of the stage missions increases the play time by more than half.

The only thing I hate about The Sims is that there's a krillion expansion packs for it and I hate the fact I'm so obsessive that I can't play it unless I have them all.

That's why I love the internet. :D
