The story is fine, infact I love how we envy you, it would make a great plot later on in the story. But the way that comic is done is tragic. It's a barbaric piece of dookie that must be destroyed!

Mushdoom aren't even the bad guys. Mikero already summed it up. The Matriarch controls the army known as the New New Mushroom Order.

Hm. How would I be the Matriarch if IN the comic I'm OUTSIDE the NMO tower AND I SAY I'm attacking the Matriarch?

I assembled and run the Mushdoom Schock Troopers, who as far as they know are the last men and women left loyal to the original NMO. The Matriarch is a mysterious new character. I shot a warning shot at the tower to warn the Matriarch that she has 2 days to prepare for war, as I am all about battle etiquette.

Dude, anyway, I knew it would just get killed again anyway, and it was funny.
See and I moved the plot along, it got the Matriarch to appear.
Now I think I'll just make a quickie JAM that proves Sano, Nova, Fungus Toppa Gurren Mushroom and Hatticus are dead.

I'm not going to do that, I'm just going to make a cheap joke about how Sano dies in every Comic Jam. Maybe even have hell look like the Game Over screen in Goemon's Great Adventure.
Oh, it'll be awhile before I'm done, so anyone can go now if they want, besides mine wont even effect the JAM at all really.
