Yeah I knew it was referencing that ad, I saw that like 15 times a day back then, but that's what I mean by "I don't think there's a single person professionally attached to the franchise that cares what kind of content I'd like to see" hahaha

I've only see the toys be sold on Amazon; they were supposed to be in-store exclusive to Target, but the ones near me never stocked them. On top of that, they haven't announced a second season and the Facebook page hasn't been updated since May...so I'm pretty sure this show is dead.

Hopefully that can lead us to a new Mega Man show that's more in line with what we like about the source material. Doesn't have to be 100% accurate but something more enjoyable.

They probably did, but not with the malicious intent that you're implicating. Capcom has, since about 2002-2003, made very suspect decisions that lead their properties being abused. They've actively forced mediocrity, but I no longer have faith that they're even smart enough to have done so on purpose.

That new "Resident Evil" Engine or what not they're using that uses photo realistic asthetic is AWFUL for most games, and DMC 5 was solid proof of it.  I mean, I largely didn't care for it in RE2Remake, but I wish to god they'd move away from it.

It would've been nice if the Archie comics series had kept going and just had a cartoon based on that.

The art was objectively horrible on the Archie Mega Man comic in several places, but that was really the only really bad thing about that adaptation.  On model it would have been pretty good animated.

I wouldn't call that art horrible but it was definitely low budget. Would definitely be a good basis for a show.

I only recall reading they were doing a comic for it, not exactly if it was based on or a continuation of the show continuity.  I didn't really look into it as I detest the show with a passion.

From what I've seen it's...fine I guess.  Skull Man is in there and Namagem goes by Danai now or something.  Also Suna is Zero because of course she is.

Yuck, that comic does sound like crap. I was "whatever" about the show, and my kids love it, but it sounds like we definitely won't be getting a second season. From what I've read Cartoon Network never did anything to promote it, a direction couldn't be agreed upon for the second season, and it seemed to get lost in the DHX/WildBrain shuffle.

Oh well.
