Played some WarioWare & Metroid Dread when those released. Very good games, especially Dread.

Level design is fantastic. Some of the collectibles are too much of a pain to collect. Found myself not using the melee counter as much, except for in boss fights where it's necessary to progress (kind of a shame to structure fights around QTEs). Most importantly, Samus is bae. Overall a 9/10.

My girl and I have been trying to find other co-op games to play aside from WarioWare, A Way Out, and It Takes Two (almost finished with our second playthrough with ITT).

Aside from that, been flipping between Halo Infinite's campaign and Fallout 76.

Can't recall the last time I listened to any songs with lyrics. Floating through YouTube & listening to random vaporwave & downtempo I come across.

Either that or OSTs from random games. There's a duo rock group on YouTube called Burning Idol whom have created some pretty neat covers from Donkey Kong Country 2. Those videos were created roughly 10 years ago, but their channel has been more active lately. Their recent post is a short cover from MM7's intro level.

That mold looks rather tasty.

Did you base Teelio off of the Virgin vs. Chad meme?
I did not! His avatar just looked buff so I assumed he works out.

Initially, it looked like my sprite was in the midst of "flying" or at least trying to flap his arms to fly. Really love the cute lil pigeon sitting on my hat too. Excellent depictions of everyone! Though I feel Abe's sprite comes off as too expressive. So much emotion.

I do work out now (so I don't break my back a second time), but I always wear tank tops as my wardrobe selection is 90% tanks and 10% everything else.

It could be that kind of game, with the right mods.

Was playing Assassin's Creed Unity for a while there, until I realized I was playing Assassin's Creed.

Been spending more time in VR lately. Aside from dicking around in Half-Life: Alyx workshop, there's Superhot & PokerVR. Superhot made me realize how out of shape I am.
7  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: MChat v2.0 on: 25 June 2021, 18:54:15
teelio, majikn and anyone else who might be reading, let me know if you'd like to eventually be added to the cast and if so what do you want your sprite to look like.

Quite honored! My current avatar would suffice, or the old-school "white-tux-&-top-hat" TLO. Mikero made the sprite sheet eons ago & I may have one sprite hidden away somewhere.

Lately I've had a fascination with birds, so even a pigeon sporting a white top hat would work as well (TLO may have owed a witch doctor some money from many years ago). Pigeons speak fluent English.

It's up to you!
8  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: E3 on: 17 June 2021, 16:40:45
Wasn't expecting any Metroid news at all, much less any hope for a sequel to Fusion. I'll take Metroid 5 over Prime 4 any given day. My only concern for this title is if they can truly hold up to the "Dread" title, which is quite a claim considering the follow-up to Fusion's SA-X. From what was shown in the videos, these E.M.M.I.s look less "dread"-ful than the SA-X and more so "a-pain-in-the-ass". Besides, crawling machines don't come off as terrifying as an overpowered, soulless clone. Never played 3DS' Samus Returns, so not sure what to think of gameplay here. Still have to pick it up when it does release, because HNNNGHH METROID.

Got a few fun games to hype about for the rest of the year. Psychonauts 2 is looking like a real blast. New WarioWare and Mario Party as well, only because my lady loves "games within games".

I know nothing about Legend of Zelda (accumulated 20 minutes playtime across the whole series). Don't care about all that news.

   But hey, Monkeyball's 20th anniversary.

#####in' love all 3 Mass Effect games.

If BioWare could add ME3's multiplayer mode in a future update, that would be icing on the cake. That's some of the most fun I ever had in online play. Usually mained Turian Sentinel or Salarian Tech.

Carrying a team as a biotic Volus is... a feeling only the most righteous can achieve.

11  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Where in the World is Teelio!? (Life Collection) on: 19 January 2021, 18:44:30
I've taken that idea and working on a smooth transition between character selection & the level intro sequence. As of now I have both the level and character selection on separate scenes, but with your idea, I can possibly incorporate a character selection option that is available throughout the level, where can switch about immediately.

https://timrage90.itch.io/fair-feathered-five-demo

You can play the demo I released last month. The game has progressed much farther than that (character selection isnt the only new feature). No game uploaded, but I have a small video that shows the current state, more or less:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fOXqaywrjE

Also, made a small game that I uploaded yesterday for a school project. It's playable within browser (WebGL):

12  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Where in the World is Teelio!? (Life Collection) on: 20 November 2020, 21:09:21
I made a small clip to demonstrate the art in the level. I initially wanted to do various art styles for the environment (one level painted, one more 3-dimensional & geometric, one minimalistic etc.) This would be a minimalistic approach to the Western level. (The moonshine bottle is a temporary placeholder)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsfzGJuucXg

The idea was to keep the characters and collectibles at a consistent pixel style where the backgrounds would vary. I'm not 100% on this approach, so any constructive feedback would be great.

Also don't mind the "slippery" player. I'm still ironing out the code there.

Untitled Bird Game... Now titled! This is the current game project. (Anarcho Techno is being written at the same time, but this is a far more realistic vision, at least for what I'm capable of at the moment)...

All sprites are custom-made... Who would have thought playing with sprites 10+ years ago on the Matrix would pay off so beautifully?

I'll be doing projects with Maya and the Unity engine this semester. I had to create a "Hello World!" game, but it wasn't really a game so much as it was a test of basic C# knowledge.

Maya though.... I've fallen in love.

This project wasn't suppose to be anything specific. Just an abstract sculpture that shows understanding of the basics.

I'll be constructing a little 2D side-scroller near the end of the year too (for final project and portfolio-building). For now, I have gameplay concepts and cute little characters. Think of Worms/Hogs of War-type mayhem without the turn-based schtick, with some class inspiration like Team Fortress 2 for flavor (character & level design concepts respectfully).

Tomorrow marks the 1 week anniversary of my new "dream machine" - for work and play. I was scoping for months, but with school rushing in, I wasted too much time window-shopping.

Thanks to the great johncarllos! That shopping list you constructed was incredibly handy. I used it to compare specs of other PCs before I found one worthy to take home. Though I would have loved a custom-built one, I know too little about building PCs to trust myself in making one. This tower is an excellent starter though. No problems, smooth, silent, and sexy to boot.

Looks like I may be able to explore VR afterall...
18  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Where in the World is Teelio!? (Life Collection) on: 31 July 2020, 15:52:01
John, you rock. Surprising it wasn't as expensive as I assumed, but shows how current I am with computer tech. There's a store not far from here called Refresh that actually builds custom PCs based on specs. I'll print out that list you made and see if they can fulfill it. Shooting to have the PC up and running before the fall semester begins (one month from now). I'll be sending you a message or two before then. Now that B Summer is finished, I can put my full attention to it.

Mike, found out my mother-in-law watched it a while back and said nothing but good things about it to me. Then again, she does have poor taste in television!

Also, thank you all for the compliments. The Nighthawks was the most enjoyable to do. The textures project was a nightmare.

Last week, I said I was doing the COLOR PSYCH. on Mega Man. Waited until this semester was finished to upload it. I had one other project I just completed yesterday, but it was a redo of the texture project and well.... it's horrific. I'll spare y'all.
19  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Where in the World is Teelio!? (Life Collection) on: 21 July 2020, 17:11:30
I have $1k reserved, but hoping I don't have to pay terribly for a complete setup. Would it be wise to do a custom-built setup or get a setup already on the market? I wasn't too sure how much everything would be priced out, so I saved enough in case other purchases were needed (speakers, mouse, monitor etc.)

Here's the projects I worked on these past weeks.

First was about SHAPE (had an idea and executed it poorly), second was LINE (a Nintendo Switch made of black electric tape), third was for TEXTURE, and the last one was about COLOR (redid the "Nighthawks" painting as a color wheel).

Currently working on one for COLOR PSYCHOLOGY and the use of the color pyramid schemes (eg. Lucid, Melancholic). Should be completed before the end of the week. Using Mega Man from MM11 as my template for this one.
20  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Where in the World is Teelio!? (Life Collection) on: 20 July 2020, 18:53:07
It will indeed be an alternate timeline. If something like Nintendo's Virtual Boy then was the equivalent of VR specs & handling today. Or maybe not as advanced.... There's still room to tinker.

Linear is seemingly the safest way to go for world development. It's just a matter of offering replay value without dumbing down to the "this-or-that" choice illusion.

I read up on the I-Land. Sounds like a promising premise, but the missing memories/dying in virtual world--die in real life gimmick.... Worn tropes.

With the current state of things, everything is up in the air. Haven't been on site since March, and the lack of lab access really puts a dent in things. As of now, I'm looking to get a powerful desktop PC (no more laptops); one made for gaming but will be used to production.
I've priced and checked the specs on some, and found some from iBUYPower. Granted, I know next to dirt about PC specs, but I have minimal requirements that must be met above all else. Budget is quite flexible here:

- Processor 2.5+ GHz
- 8 GB Ram
- DirectX11+ Graphics Card
- Windows 10 OS

In other news, I'm taking an online 2D Art class. Played with concepts like shape, line, texture, color, color psychology.... I'll upload some images soon.
21  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 17 July 2020, 16:22:29
Playing Donkey Kong Country on the switch online right now.

Currently on that game as well. Must have been 7 or 8 last time I played DKC.... Supreme nostalgia here.

I played a few other games with all this time off, mostly puzzles:

1. The Turing Test - Fun puzzle game with 50+ rooms to solve. Simple mechanics... Only a few puzzles left me completely stumped. Enjoyable if you like Portal.
2. Unmechanical Extended - Now this game is #####ing beautiful. Very entertaining, albeit short. Excellent soundtrack and environment design. Metroidvania-esque. The "Extended Episode" was more linear, but just as great. Some puzzles were very unclear and had to look up how to solve 'em...
3. Superliminal - Recently released, purchased this puzzle game on Switch (may have been a bad idea.... graphics got jumbled and awkward in the latter half of the game). Another puzzle game with a unique perception gimmick.
4. BioShock 2 Remastered - Combat mechanics aged really damn well. Just miss the broken multiplayer mode....

Not sure what to get into after DKC. Been hungry for puzzle/platforming games as of late.

23  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Where in the World is Teelio!? (Life Collection) on: 8 January 2020, 21:47:36
What part of SURREALITY is the focus?

Narrative-wise, the world would be the highlight; how it functions, its inhabitants and many other elements are intentionally put in to make this world feel rich with story and lore. The main character mostly serves as a "host" for the Player to explore and immerse in this world. However, this main character has a rhyme and reason for being in this world like everybody else, so naturally everything will need to feel organic. Though, with everything as rounded out as they are, linear paths may be the best option. Maybe with well-placed "hubs" to give the illusion of open areas.

Here's a little synopsis:

- Pittsburgh, Spring late 90s

A juvenile gets framed for a horrific incident and is forced to take a new, mysterious VR therapy offered by a mysterious company.

... That's virtually all you need to know going into the story, as the intention is to fill in the gaps and tell a few stories over the course of the main arc while keeping a steady flow.

I made a PowerPoint oh I don't know.... 4 years ago, that I used to "pitch" the story idea to friends and coworkers. If I can find it, I'll upload it here.

For now, I have several of my concepts here. Looking to have some better quality, REAL work to share by the end of this year. I'm not an artist by any name nor can I draw faces to save a life.
24  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Where in the World is Teelio!? (Life Collection) on: 31 December 2019, 15:49:34
It's moreso the gameplay aspects that I want to fish out. Though the characters, goals, arcs and such are subject to any amount of change, the world and general mechanics are the main dishes.

Here is another question. You have a linear game like Half-Life 2 or BioShock, whatever suites your taste.... How many maximum playthroughs do you normally do with those kind of games? Typically for me there was an average of 7-8 total playthroughs on said games, but each time I played I had different goals in mind. For example:

- Playthrough 1 of game x and all I wanted to do was immerse in the world, follow the story. Take the general path (more or less), do what was told, finish the story.
- Playthrough 2 of game x and I'm out trying to find all the collectibles, audio logs, ammo caches, secrets etc.
- Playthrough 3 ... is just a self-challenge on the game's hardest difficulty.

And so on.......

Though that's just my method for single-player games. Everybody has a different method of attacking these types of games. I just want to know the average gamers' personal tastes, locate some consistent patterns.... Some ideas that could be utilized later on down the road.

This project is very near and dear to me. I've never been so sentimental about any of the garbage I've churned out. Remember back in the early 2000s when I made those awful sprite comics, The Capsules? We all knew that was a story that wasn't going anywhere, and quite frankly, I was just wingin' it at the time.

I've committed the next decade to this project. My resources are all that UCF Creative Village have to offer. With EA moving their Orlando office to the school in 2021, that could open up some new opportunities. Also building a home rig that's suitable for creation programs (ie. Blender, Source Hammer).

Who was it that said "single-player gaming is dying"? You look between the lines of AAA games and see plenty of SP experiences flourishing within their own communities. Hell, some sleeper single-player games have awoken in forms of cult classics, stronger than ever (ie. Earthbound). With the gaming market being filled with rip-offs of rip-offs competing to dominate a certain MP gimmick, or those annual releases of more-of-the-same with virtually no other desire than, "if we make it, they will buy it".

I want to give a quality single-player experience to those who want something fresh, but I also want to know what it is they want or do not want out of something that could be as linear as BioShock. Best to get some insight from gamers themselves, rather than pretend to know what the audience wants out of the industry.
25  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Question for Gamers: SURREALITY Project on: 30 December 2019, 23:02:52
Lot of changes these past 4 years since last I posted in this thread. Was disappointed not to have more content to share. Also, ##### Still Conscious.

The new decade yields some exciting things (between the invention of hologram foods and a nuclear apocalypse).

I have some big plans for a juicy narrative I've spent the past 10 years cultivating called SURREALITY. Started as a simple text storybook that got to 3 chapters (which I will upload later) before I felt like text wasn't enough to express the world I created.

It graduated to comic book form, and my old band frontman joined in to help illustrate some concepts for characters, world design etc. This was where about a good 75% of the story and world was fleshed out. I'll upload some of the art I have put together for concept ideas, because my artist turned out to be an opioid junkie, and therefore, unreliable.

Felt like the world of SURREALITY isn't immersive enough, even at comic book form. Then I figured it could succeed as a video game. What I like to call a "disaster survival FPS", inspired by games like BioShock, Half-Life, and recent IPs like Dishonored & 2017's Prey (the original Prey is just as great, too). A quality story with some unique gameplay mechanics that may work out well.

Before indulging on the initial details, I have a question for all gamers, and since everybody here is a #####ing gamer, here is my question:

"When you start a story-rich single-player FPS, what are your expectations? For example, do you expect a linear path, options for gameplay experimentation, collectibles/lore insight, having options as to how to approach challenges...?"

Any and all answers acceptable.

I rented Borderlands 3 last week and got a few hours invested before I tuned out. Couldn't tell if I was tired of the Borderlands gimmick or just lost interest in those type of games.

Playing the Master Chief Collection currently, between Firefight & some classic Halo CTF & KotH.(Does anybody remember Halo PC: Custom Edition?)

I did get a chance to rent and check out Luigi's Mansion 3 last month; my first experience with this franchise. Boy, was that a fun campaign.

ScareScraper was addicting (didn't get a chance to play the ScreamPark feature). Looking forward to those expansions next year.

30  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: E3 on: 28 June 2019, 22:24:23
Aside from celebrity cameos, that was just an average E3. I've come to believe that every even year holds a stellar E3 show while the odd numbers are at least on par. 2020 is already looking promising.

Let's face it. Keanu Reeves won the show (and the internet). But as far as big-time presenters, Nintendo takes the cake.

My only gripe about Nintendo's show was a lack of discussion on their Nintendo Online subscription. I figured they would have announced SNES-streamed games for the service, or at the very least, announce a bundle on new NES ports.... More than the usual 2-3 they announce every month.

Still a good show, regardless.

32  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: E3 2019 on: 3 May 2019, 20:39:05
It's that time of year again.... E3 2019 begins in June (as it normally does).

Seems like yesterday that the 2018 showcase was shown, but here we are once again. Another orbit around the sun and more games/hardware/etc. to anticipate.

What are all of you expecting to see this year? What do you wish to see?

There's a FF7 orchestra playing in LA around the time of E3 2019, which has led many people to speculate that we may receive more information on the remake this time around. Maybe.

Perhaps we will catch a faint glimpse into Metroid Prime 4 via Nintendo? Even though they scrapped production and handed the project back over to Retro, it wouldn't be surprising if we didn't get any information at all. Though one could dream....

Cyberpunk 2077, Halo Infinite, Borderlands 3, perhaps Gears of War 5 will be indulged during the showcases, among the usual unannounced titles up their sleeves. Maybe more on Death Stranding? (Sony is skipping this year's conference, it seems).

One interesting note is Valve's announcement of their own VR, the Index. Even though they've confirmed some games for their VR system, they have stated there will be an announcement for a "flagship VR game" later this year..... Doubt we'll see them at E3 though. When was the last time Valve actually attended an E3 conference?

Also, for a fun sit-at-home drinking game.... Take a shot during the Xbox conference for every time Phil Spencer says "gaming".
33  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 25 February 2019, 21:37:32
Exactly what I thought of KH3. There was little to no overall story progression in the different worlds. Most of them were just segments straight from their respective movies but with Sora and company shoved in the middle of it.

Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden was at least a touch-point in the second game to stop at every so often to continue the main arc. All we got in 3 was just cutscenes of that world.

If any DLC is to be released, I'd enjoy revisiting Radiant Garden or even an Olympus Coliseum tourney like what they had in the first title.

I just started playing Metro Exodus and it's quite an overhaul gameplaywise compared to Last Light. I've only managed to reach the halfway point in the "Winter" area (after the train chase) and there's just so much to do. Far more exploration and crafting... But the tension is still the same as it's always been.

As expected from any initial release, it does have its share of bugs. Was trying to do a pacifist route my first time but that failed as one soldier was glitched halfway into the train and left me no other choice but to gun him down. Some of the building graffiti is projected outward, and had one run in with a bandit that was running circles three-stories high above me. Overall, nothing dramatically game-breaking.

There's so much to do, so much to explore. The day/night feature is a good touch. There are pros and cons to each time of day, so certain situations are best tackled during daylight whereas nightfall would be wiser for stealth missions, at the cost of having more packs of mutants running about.

Choices in the game don't seem as black and white as they have been in Last Light. Most of the time it was a kill-or-let-live choice, or a fetch mission that only boosted morality. So far, it seems the choices here could have a more dramatic effect, for better or worse, later on down the road. For me, that has yet to be seen.

If you haven't played any Metro but enjoy spooky #####, it's truly worth checking out.

Thanks Mikero. Sciatica is usually a telltale sign. Other conditions may vary among people though. My old man went through the same exact thing I'm currently dealing with many years ago, but the difference between the two of us is I have a "lean" when I stand and walk, whereas he was able to still stand up straight. Though we both suffered from sciatica down one/both of the legs.

The pain for me centralizes around the glutes and will frequently shoot down my legs and throb around the calves and ankles.

I've tried chiropractic care, an inversion table, and hanging from a pull-up bar (with legs in a "sitting position"), but it was after I screwed my back up so there was barely any relief from those option. I never took care of my back/spine growing up, and only recently tried to be more conscientious of my posture.

Hope it goes well as well TLO.  Bring your switch so you can play Mega Man 11 while you recover.

Thanks. Didn't consider it, but the Switch will be an excellent time-killer!

Posted on: 12 February 2019, 12:31:35

The surgery was a success, but with them moving the nerve around to get to my spine, it flared it up terribly. Was bedbound for a couple days and had them prescribe me steroids, so now I'm able to walk semi-normally (have to use a walker to stand up and move about the house still).

Now I have a delicious scar on my lower back that looks like either a naval or sphincter, depending on your sense of humor.

Still will be a while until I'm fully healed, but definitely on the right track. Surprisingly didn't need the Switch either, as they released me a couple hours post-surgery once the anaesthetic wore off.

I shall be receiving some back surgery come this Wednesday morning.

Long story short, I've suffered from some major back pains and sciatica since the beginning of September, visited the ER twice in one month, suffered cabin fever while working from home, lack of sleep, blah blah blah... It's called "L4/L5 Lumbar Extrusion", or simply, a herniated disc.

Been butting heads with my insurance since December on a neurosurgeon and we finally found one. However, today was the day I was given the green light to go through with a proper solution to a miserable series of pain and discomforts.

So today was a good day.

Take care of your posture and back, folks.

Just finished Kingdom Hearts 3, and imagine that....
a set-up for another game!
I've grown out of the whole Disney nostalgia some time ago, but was looking forward to a sense of closure to a series I once obsessed over. Anywho…

Gameplay was dynamite, although the difficulty was minced down completely. Only died once and that was against the secret final boss or whoever it was. Pirates world was killer with the ship battles. Worlds like the Rapunzel and Frozen ones felt a bit bland. Not a ton of variety in the environment, but just lots of journeying through forests and #####.

Was hoping for a more epic final fight than what was provided. Something similar to the Xemnas battles from 2.

And only a slight nod to Final Fantasy. Subtle mentions of Cloud, Auron, and a Dissegea (however its spelled) reference in Toy Story world.

Not a terrible game though, so long as you can withstand Donald's and Goofy's vocal triggers for nearby ingredients.

The more difficult ones I had to return to were the Rayman spirit (Sonic & assist trophy), Jeff spirit (3-4 Inklings), and the Dr. Wily spirit (8 MegaMan & Dr. Mario) simply because I wasn't at an appropriate level to take them on, and thus they swept the floor with me.

I ended up enhancing a couple spirits that gave a "lifeheal" ability, like the Nightmare spirit, which was especially useful for some of the stamina challenges.

Happy Born Day to the Main Matrician himself and Metty!

10 dollars says Abe got hammered around 9am his time (maybe earlier).

I'm ashamed to be unable to ride the RDR2 hype train. Been far too occupied to play any new releases in this latter half of the year, aside from the Crash Bandicoot remaster and Mega Man 11.

Only game I've been able to play more recently than those two titles was that Deltarune demo that was released not too long ago. A sequel/prequel/spin-off/whatever to Undertale.

Mother 3 is solid. It's good to see cult classics like the Mother series returning in popularity. I managed to play it about a year ago through, well.... unconventional methods. The rhythm-combo feature is a nice touch and the story is far more grim than it's predecessor.

Here's to hoping Nintendo decides to release a Western version and/or an Earthbound re-release in the near future, as SNES copies of Earthbound are ridiculously priced through eBay...

A 4th game seems as unlikely as a new F-Zero, but the fan-made Mother 4 looks to have the same charm as the other games. Sadly, there hasn't been any news in over 2 years. My guess is Nintendo dropped in to shut down the project... similar to how they handled AM2R and that Pokemon game creator program.

Finished the game today. First half of Wily Castle was entertaining (Yellow Devil has an extra attack sequence!) and as stated by another, the latter half was feeling empty. Quick jumps into the second 8-boss rodeo and the Wily fights.

MM9 is still my favorite, then 2, 10, 11.... et cedra, et cedra.

Knocked down 5/8 Robot Masters... Tundra, Torch & Blast Man remain.

I side with Nova on Acid Man's excessive spike traps. A few well-placed ones are fine, but man... Seemed like they were everywhere in the underwater portions.

Some stages feel more drawn-out than others (Block Man's for example), but the sub-bosses add an extra fun challenge to the stages. None I've come across are too difficult.

I am guilty of having to resort to the Speed Gear in a few situations....

Mega Man 11's voice-acting is a sure far cry from 8's. It's not perfect, but nowhere near as hemorrhoid-inducing as 8.

The level design is extensive as hell. Though there are many elements that would encourage the Double-Gear ability, doesn't necesarrily FORCE you to use the perks, despite some added difficulty if you choose otherwise.

2 bosses down, and I can say this Mega Man title easily wipes floors with some of the past's inferior additions (7, 8 specifically)

As a Mega Man fan, whether hardcore or casual, it's surely one not to miss.

Metacritic gave the PS4 version an 81% while the Switch received a 79%.

GameSpot rewarded a 9/10 while IGN went for a 7.5 rating.

Not terrible, I suppose.

I attempted the Genocide Route but was locked and stuck with the Undyne fight. Seriously need to smack the hell out of the arrow keys and pray you don't take a lot of damage from those fast-as-##### spears.

I gave up after the 235657256345 attempt.

Better Call Saul's newest season is sublime. Johnathan Banks remains my favorite actor from that BCS/BB universe. Still no Pinkman or Mr. White (at least for the time being), but was sweet to see that brief scene with...
Gale Boetticher
I'm not savvy for anime, but was pressured to check out My Hero Academia. Five episodes in, it has a cute charm to it. Not as campy as most generic animes that litter Toonami and Crunchyroll.

The demo was fun to sample. I believe the Double-Gear system is the extra sandwich layer on top of an easier difficulty for players that may be highly rusty or just newcomers to the series itself. I believe somebody already made that statement earlier...

Enjoying what seems to be levels with much more length and extensions to them than past installments. The frequent save points may be a blessing or a curse, depending on how well you enjoy challenge and/or repetition.
50  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: The Potential of Mega Man X9 on: 24 September 2018, 21:23:40
Didn't Axl get FUBAR'd at the end of X8? Perhaps I remembered that final scene differently.

Surely the X staff is all too aware of the taint that is his presence. Unlike Bass, Axl doesn't seem to add any real depth to the story, except for being a protagonist to represent the "New-Gen Reploids", which seems to be a plot that could handle itself well without him.

At least Bass stood as a real rival in the Classic series. Axl is just, well.... I wouldn't know what to call him. A "means for extra gameplay"?

Backtracking, if X9 ever sees the light of day, I only hope they give Axl a proper exit, while he stands a legitimate secondary character (at the very most). A core game overall goes without saying, but Axl simply has to go.

Also, no whack ressurections for Axl like Zero underwent nth times in future installments.... Granted, if the X series EVER returns.
