I'd post my Star Force code but I don't think I'll pick up the game just to add somebody. I'm that tired of it.

I'll see if I can find my Animal Crossing/MKDS friend code.

HOWBOUT si

It's going to be cool... what with... that slow, first person view turn based battle system... and the whole online co-op... with that slow, first person view turn based battle system...

Uhh... you get to create your own characters and choose their class! >_>
They'll look like Goku too (Akira Toriyama's the art director).

I remember when we accused Chaos of snaking.

Pissed me off, not because of the accusations though. I just hate it when someone calls me a liar, especially when I tell the truth.

EDIT: Oh ho! If you want to talk about good times, you gotta remember when we were racing on Cheep Cheep Beach and I knocked Abe into the water when he jumped off the dock's ramp.

... ;.;

That reminded me when this asshole targeted me on Wi-Fi. I was in first, and this guy in the DK Rambi cart, stayed behind, grabbed nothing but stars, and rammed me (AND ME ONLY) over and over again while everyone else passed me. I made 3rd.

I suspect that he targeted me because I had the most stars in the race and assumed I was a snaker or something.

Vinchenz, I'll need your friend code, a quick scan of the topic proved fruitless.

How on earth does wi-fo break so easily, mine is as easy as plugging in the modem and making sure I have the passwords and stuff in right.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Mikero on 23 January 2008, 04:18:41
I use the dongle thing because they don't support the D-Link router I use. And after taking all that time to fix it, I'm pretty pissed 'cause I've no idea what's wrong now other than that my mom logged me out without my permission and when I logged back in it didn't work.

Bombs over Baghdaaaaaaad.

Anyway I'd rather have DKR DS than MK DS.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: ASR on 23 January 2008, 19:16:34
Good choice.

MKDS is a more solid game, but DKR is so much more epic and fun. You can play a Mario game anyday - DKR is a treasure.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: ChaosVortex on 23 January 2008, 21:53:32
Diddy Kong got too boring too quick for me. It's a good game, yesh, but I'd rather have the action that's in Mario Kart DS.

Besides, Wizpig and Taj are EXTREMELY overpowered.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Mikero on 23 January 2008, 22:01:21
As far as the original versions are concerned, I was not a fan of MK64. I liked DKR a lot.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: ASR on 23 January 2008, 22:28:36
Same.

And Wizpig and Taj are only overpowered in cars. They suck in planes and hovercrafts.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Abominator on 23 January 2008, 22:51:32
I've never understoond why most people rate MK64...

It's by far the worst of the MK games...

I played DKR a little, and it was really fun, but MKDS is still World King.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: ASR on 23 January 2008, 23:07:08
Yeah, MKDS is lightyears ahead of MK64.

I was excited to download MK64 on the Virtual Console but as I soon as I got it, I remembered that it's really not all that great. Not even as a party game, anymore.

MKDS is definitely the ultimate incarnation of the series so far, here's hoping to the Wii version.

I've never played Double Dash.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes

It's amazing, and gets a bad rap.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: ASR on 23 January 2008, 23:33:12
One of these days I'll get around to playing it, because a few of my friends own it. I remember thinking the paired-characters idea was stupid, but it really doesn't make a huge difference in the long run, does it?

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Kamon on 23 January 2008, 23:38:07
Only certain characters can use certain items. If I remember correctly, only Toad and Toadette could use Gold Mushrooms.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 23 January 2008, 23:38:34
Mmm... not really. Not the characters themselves. The only difference is the weight that determines which karts that you can use and also each partners gets his/her own special item.

Mario Kart: Double Dash is awesome. I still play it time to time with friends.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: ChaosVortex on 24 January 2008, 00:06:05
I heard the worst Mario Kart was Super Circuit.

But I still have good memories of MK64, although the game is a little bland now. Double Dash is indeed fun.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Johncarllos on 24 January 2008, 00:18:43
Super Mario Kart will always have it's place in my heart.
The battle stages were epic... to a 6 year old.

As far as the original versions are concerned, I was not a fan of MK64. I liked DKR a lot.

You ARE aware that Mario Kart DS isn't a remake, right?

It's better, too.

Double Dash is also way better than 64. I got hours upon hours of fun from DD, and after one rental of 64, I never touched it again.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Mikero on 25 January 2008, 02:50:14
I wasn't aware that it wasn't a remake. Still, though, I'm not gonna get two similar racing games for the DS, and I loved DKR back in the day.

I like Double Dash, played it today actually. But the best MK in my opinion is Super Mario Kart. 64 was terrible.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Majikn on 25 January 2008, 03:37:25
Well, that's cool too. I was thinking of getting DKR, but I have the same feeling about it, only vice versa. Not that I liked 64, but I already had MKDS when DKR came out.

Oh man, Vortex Boy just handed me my ass. I beat JC 35-25 twice, and then CV beat me 40-20, 35-25, then 40-20 again. (For those who don't know you basically get five points when you lose and ten when you win, and there's four games per match.)

But yeah I won in a race against Chaos because he hit a piranha plant. A FREAKIN' PIRANHA PLANT. Was it a rose? No. But we're still talking mad deus ex machina here.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes

Listen to this man, he knows what he's talking about.

It's so sad, whenever I talk to my friends about Mario Kart, most of them had no idea that there was a Super Mario Kart. I'm like, COME ON!  It's THE Mario Kart!!

Post by: Johncarllos on 11 June 2008, 15:49:45
It really is.

Well, I guess that's enough reason.

Why did you name yourself Zero?

Loser.

And yeah, I beat him twice as well.

In fact, something cool happened when it ended. That Legendary Master Shin fellow gave me these two Attack Star things that temporarily boost every card's power by 20 until I turn the game off or go back online.

I was right before a boss fight, and it allowed me to S-Rank Ophiuca or whatever with a few Fire cards and a Grass Stage.

I think he was originally saying only one person has posted a Pokémon FC. He just said it poorly.

Hm. It's named like one, but there's nothing magical about it. I never understood how scientist people in that world would classify it as a Pokemon. It acts completely like any other normal fish, it just looks cartoony.

And turns into a dragon once it's grown enough.

Except that people don't seem to generally know that. Also, they would have found that out AFTER classifying it as a Pokemon in the first place. It's like they took a random animal and guessed that it MIGHT be a Pokemon and got lucky.

I think they probably operate on the rule that if it can say it's own name and nothing else, yet still strike up a conversation with another creature, it's a Pokemon. Other than that, it was probably luck.

I've always wondered how regular animals fit into the world of Pokemon.

I guess all animals are Pokemon.

Which seems a bit horrifying when you realize the whole human population is just enslaving all the wildlife and making it battle.

The terrorists of today need to follow Team Rocket. Instead of weapons of mass destruction, they need to enslave animals and make them do their bidding. Screw bombs, they have bears, bears with chainsaws even.

In the original game, which is the only thing Pokemon that matters, they just make sounds like every other animal on the Earth. The only classification that seems to make Pokemon different from just animals is the fact that they evolve hyper-rapidly. And that they may or may not be from space.

The "evolution" of Pokemon is just rapid metamorphosis.
I'm sure that children have no idea what evolution is because of these games.

Title: Re: Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Friend Codes
Post by: Mikero on 3 July 2008, 21:15:19
Probably. But even so, the metamorphosis (or "evolution" as the games tell you) is way beyond rapid. It's like rapid to the tenth power. That said, Magikarp is among the Pokemon that take a long and annoying time to "evolve", so scientists probably wouldn't have been able to tell it was a Pokemon without just guessing.

Think of all the experiments they had to do on regular cats to figure out they wouldn't evolve....

Uhm, OK. Do DS's randomly reset themselves? 'Cause I just turned mine on for the first time in like forever and I had to reenter everything. Everything. Like even my nickname. And it wouldn't turn on for a long time even though it was plugged it, so I guess it was just THAT dead...

I haven't heard of anyone else's doing that.

Also, Pokémon PalPad code (I've got platinum) is:

09906

It's an insanely simple number.

They are.

But if it's beyond repair you could sell your DS for parts, I managed to sell my first dead one for $30.

My GBA SP's battery is completely dead.

I'd like to replace it, so I can play GB/C games again with Backlight. But I once opened it years ago and i remember the battery being in a weird wrapping with a wire coming out of it going inside the GBA... didn't want to mess with that.

I bought another SP just so I can have a backup in case my DS dies and so I can play all my Gameboy games. I'll probably just get a DSi around that time as well.

So if both die, it'll suck.
