Title: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Abominator on 2 December 2007, 18:09:12
This topic exists in the hope that newcomers to MMM will not clog the forum with one-question topics, and topics that have already been raised several times.

Basically, it exists to solve simple pleas, so if you're looking for help in a ZX Series game, or you have a simple question about this series, ask it here.

Here is a question to start off.

Does anyone know the exact location for those hopping green bugs?  I want to acquire the extender chip in ZX:  Advent.

I guess the only exact place I'm refering to is the floating ruins.  I think you need Bifrost for this too right?

HAI GUYZ GEES WAT

I finally played ZX for the first time today. Looks more promising than Zero.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xero on 9 December 2007, 15:13:56
Indeed.

Don't listen to Rez's nonsensical rants.  As true as they may be, I found ZX and ZXA to be fun and enjoyable.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Chron on 9 December 2007, 15:20:23
ZX is okay.
In comparison to Zero.

Heck, I was able to play through ZX at least once, so it's not that bad.

then again i also played through x7

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xero on 9 December 2007, 15:32:51
X7 is fail.

ZX is not.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Chron on 9 December 2007, 15:35:25
ZX was good because you can play as Aile, and for once your character sounds like a girl because she is one.

Other than that it was kinda meh.

Still, way better than the festering pile of garbage that was X7.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Aresian on 9 December 2007, 19:20:19
*shrugs* Aside from some rather entertaining gameplay (again, ignoring the festering words of Rez), I will say the main thing I dig about ZX is the music. I don't think there was a track in particular I didn't like.

No matter what I do, I can't get rid of Trap Phantasm from my mind. It's gooood stuff. But yeah, sure... ZX is alot better than Zero series... or X7 and what not. Definately better than Star Force. Remember kiddies, it's either this or Star Force.

In the words of a wise old witch, "Choose your poison wisely"

(Note: Still, I like the Zero series aswell. Screw what everyone else says, the games were fun to play, albeit a bit too challenging... they were still kickass. ZX takes over that impressively)

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: NovaMan XP on 9 December 2007, 19:44:08
Trap Phantasm/Trap Factory were awesome themes. Especially the ZX and ZXA Tunes remixes of them.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 9 December 2007, 19:49:15
Yeah, the thing that struck me the most in the game (so far) is the great music. Good job, Mr.Who-Ever-Composed-The-Music-For-ZX.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Aresian on 9 December 2007, 19:55:08
Yes yes, see. I got you all to admit atleast one redeeming factor to the series. Honestly, favorite thing about Megaman games for me, was the astounding music.

ZX delievers. Thanks to MMMRadio, I heard Trap Factory. I do like Trap Phantasm more, but both are really nice.

Thanks to MMMRadio, I feel like picking up EXE1 again, amusingly enough. XD

Anyways... I also have a question. Maniac mode? I've heard about it but... what's the skinny on it? Is it REALLY harder than Extreme mode (which is actually hard for me, oddly enough. ChronoForce is a pain) and is there any rewards to reap?

EDIT: Epic lulz. I looked a bit further into it. Maniac = Expert.

Post by: DualEdge on 9 December 2007, 20:44:36
Any strategies on beating Lurerre on Hard Mode in the original ZX? I decided to pick it up again after not playing it for quite some time and can't seem to get past her.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xero on 9 December 2007, 21:01:05
Pretty much use the ZX buster on the lower part of the lure.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 10 December 2007, 01:51:59
Lurrere is the easiest to S-Rank. C'mon. I can't even help with that.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: DualEdge on 10 December 2007, 03:00:56
I assume I need to hide my face in shame then?

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 10 December 2007, 03:22:13
Not for me. If you want my two cents, I'd say it's that other ice pseudoroid that's a piece of cake.

Seriously. Model L, dash below it, and constant spin attack. Easy kill and easy Lv. 4 victory.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xzeemo on 10 December 2007, 03:43:00
I was thinking about picking up this game. Is it worth the money? It looks pretty great.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 10 December 2007, 03:44:34
Both games are decent. Better than the Zero games. ZXA is the best one so far.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xzeemo on 10 December 2007, 03:47:53
Cool, are they rediculously hard like the Zero series was though?

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 10 December 2007, 03:56:46
Nope. Unless you want to choose Hard mode.

Never, under any circumstances, NEVER choose Easy mode. It's so easy, you might actually get bored playing.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 10 December 2007, 05:58:22
I can hardly stand Normal mode without feeling the need for a challenge, but that might just be me.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Dr. on 10 December 2007, 06:25:42
WTF is ZXa? If I can barely get past opening credits...

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 10 December 2007, 11:39:54
You mean "Model lowercase a" or Model A or the actual game itself?

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 10 December 2007, 18:53:42
I'd assume he means Mega Man Antique (or Ancient, whatever the hell they mean to call it).

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 10 December 2007, 20:50:28
I wanted to play a harder difficulty for ZX, but I could only choose Normal as my hardest difficulty. ;-;

Hmm, what's a good strategy for these bosses in this game? My current strategy sucks, "Slash until one of us drop." XD

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Kamon on 10 December 2007, 21:02:50
Elemental weakness is the same as MMZ series. Work from there.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: NovaMan XP on 10 December 2007, 21:42:19
Or you know, you could just fire charge shots repeatedly and jump like a maniac.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xero on 11 December 2007, 00:32:53
Buster:  Lurrere, Protectos, Flamole, Huricannu
Saber:  Leganchor, Purprill, Fistleo, Hivolt.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: NovaMan XP on 11 December 2007, 01:59:48
All of them except Leganchor are really easy to kill with the Buster. :D

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 11 December 2007, 02:14:24
I found the last boss to be stupidly easy after I remembered that I could jump AND spinslash at the same time, 3-4 hits= much progress.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Kamon on 11 December 2007, 12:28:15
How the hell could you forget that? Personally, I used Charged Slashes for the most part.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xzeemo on 13 December 2007, 05:00:30
This next Tuesday I go on vacation and I get to fly on a plane for the first time in years. Would the first ZX game help me pass the time? Would it be worth the money? Because I only want it if it has a semi good replay value. What do you guys think?

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 14 December 2007, 04:40:07
It's worth the money for a single playthrough, even. As for replay value, it depends on whether or not you want to play through twice - one time for each character. And possibly a third runthrough, so you can keep Model X (and try harder difficulty, though you can choose that at any time.)

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 24 December 2007, 03:05:17
So, I got ZXA today.
How the hell do you get items on the other side of a wall?

I already met Aile and have 13 A-Trans things.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES

Nevermind then.

Yeah, I forgot how short the game is...

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xero on 24 December 2007, 17:21:22
They should expand on the game a bit more.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 24 December 2007, 20:45:06
Okay, being the out of practice loser I am, I just beat beginner with Grey. Now I'm gonna go through Normal with Ashe.
When I first picked it up I tried Normal with Ashe and barely finished the intro stage in over 8 minutes. This time, now that I'm back in the groove, 2 minutes, hit once.
Yay.
Grey's ending sucked.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: yuri on 1 January 2008, 16:47:07
I have to say the game was kinda hard at some parts. It was a good game, but the voice acting sucked.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Kamon on 1 January 2008, 16:48:47
I thought the voice acting was decent, especially compared to X7's.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xero on 1 January 2008, 17:33:55
Fun fact:

X7 voice actors = Advent voice actors.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Kamon on 1 January 2008, 17:38:53
I honestly didn't recognise them. The only VA I recognised was Model A's.

Guess the VA's improved.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 1 January 2008, 18:35:32
I have to say the game was kinda hard at some parts.

The stages weren't overwhelming, and the boss battles were just right. I thought it was perfectly fine.

Hell, even the final boss was a bitch, which is actually what I want. Serpent in the first ZX was a cakewalk.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Kamon on 1 January 2008, 18:38:24
Serpent was disappointing. So were some of the other bosses in ZX.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 1 January 2008, 18:41:24
Yeah. Some were fine because they got me moving across the floor, like Pupril, Hurricaune, and Hivolt. Too many were just beyond easy though.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Kamon on 1 January 2008, 18:49:10
Namely the Model F Psudoroids.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 1 January 2008, 18:50:38
And Model L.

Leganchor was just, pitiful. Just stand under him, Model L, and spin attack.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 1 January 2008, 18:53:21
I will say that some of the bosses in ZX are grossly easy.
Hedgehog thingy namely.

I have 5 medals left to get, 2 on QueenBee and all 3 on the twin things, because I'm working downward from Gold and I can NEVER get Buckfire's attack to hit them at the same time, it's pissing me off, one always somehow dodges it.

I hate Model A's voice actor.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Kamon on 1 January 2008, 18:56:16
I just went Fx, aimed up and opened fire.

Your tactic sounds like what I do against Chronoforce in ZXA.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 1 January 2008, 19:34:27
Well, on Queenbee, I have to beat her hitting ONLY her Hive for bronze, and ONLY her for gold, no hive.

All the other ones were easy, except Hedgeshock, hitting those little rats into him took forever.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Mikero on 1 January 2008, 23:42:22
These games actually SOUND gay. Like the names of things. They sound like bad internet handles. "Chronoforce", "QueenBee", "Psudoroids", jeez.

At least Buckfire and Hedgeshock sound cool, like a Transformer or some BSG/Top Gun fighter pilot.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 2 January 2008, 05:30:25
Dunno about that, but I'd prefer Reploid over Pseudoroid anyway, because it rolls off the tounge better.

Chronoforce sounds alright, but QueenBee doesn't sound creative.

I also hate her VA. This whole post I can read in 15 seconds. QueenBee would probably take up 3 minutes saying this.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 9 January 2008, 04:16:39
Mega Man a is a fun and easy minigame, but using him in game is CRAZY, he's great for dodging body shots though, stuff that's hard to split second jump or go human and duck, just nail the"X" button and go to 'a' and DODGED.
I beat Buckfire with him on Normal and said screw it, I'm only using a' 'for fun, I'm not nearly as good as ASR, 'a' does so little damage and I'm not that patient.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES

Oh, god, the battles were less like fighting and more like staying alive.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES

If you know how to dodge the attacks you should be fine.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 9 January 2008, 15:17:15
Well, the lack of a dash jump makes Atlas just about impossible.
Using Ashe as Model A though, you could rebound that charge shot around like a pinball so there's almost no strategy, just dodge, charge, dodge, shoot, charge, shoot etc...

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 12 January 2008, 02:58:27
It's tough, no lie. If I had the energy to unlock Model a again, I'd totally give it a second try. However, I don't.

Now, the lazy way to get Model a back is to get an Action Replay, which costs 20 bucks.

Or you can get ALL of those medals AGAIN, but you save 20 bucks.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 12 January 2008, 03:32:54
I'd rather get some more use out of the game in a while and actually play through it again than waste 20 bucks on a gamekiller.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: MOX on 20 January 2008, 02:55:48
Last and only Zero-esque games I've played and finished were MMZ 1 & 2. I just got ZX and I like it a lot, though it seems harder than the MMZ games, maybe i'm just rusty or hallucinating. Or both.

The first four missions you get that involve biometal activity, is there a certain order I should do them? Do the models supposedly do more damage on a certain boss? Also does MMZX have any techniques like in the MMZ games?

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 20 January 2008, 02:59:18
ZX is undeniably easier than the MMZ games, which even though I personally don't find them to be hard (the MMZ games), many people do. And everyone agrees that ZX is easier.

The elemental strengths/weaknesses chart is the same as in the MMZ, but you probably don't remember.

Fire > Ice > Elec > Fire

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 20 January 2008, 03:58:53
My biggest complain was basically the system was MMZ was on. I found it unplayable personally.

ZX is much easier, and the boss battles were fine. My only real problems with it are the cliche crappy storylines and lack of satisfaction (Meaning, zoom through the game without having to use a single other model or a challenge).

I'm satisfied with ZXA though, they fixed the mentioned beefs with ZX, but what they really need to focus on is making a sequel with a larger map and more exploring. It's a Metroid style game, without the Metroid feel.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 20 January 2008, 04:05:02
My biggest problem with ZX is the massive amounts of playable models and "characters", yet the even more massive lack of areas to make good use out of any of them.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 20 January 2008, 04:12:43
Exactly. I'd get Model P and L, but honestly, you never really need them. You'll use them once or twice but they're just luggage. The game didn't properly implement their use.

ZXA fixed that a bit though, although they didn't use all of the DNA data, there were a bunch of times where the stage was built to work for Buckfire, Chronoforce, etc.. However, I still used Model H most of the time. That model is so broken.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 20 January 2008, 04:20:57
I really liked Model P in ZX:Advent, and I used it a lot. I WANTED to like Model P in the first ZX, but I just couldn't.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 20 January 2008, 04:25:41
They changed the Kunai throwing angle. I was used to throwing them straight though. Both ways work for me.

I use swords most of the time, so it's either ZX or H for me. I use P sometimes, L rarely to never, and F rarely. I'd use F more if the buster shots didn't hinder mobility.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 20 January 2008, 15:32:00
I use L when there's a bunch of weak enemies because that dragon goes FOREVER.
I think.
I stick with H, ZX, and a.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Johncarllos on 20 January 2008, 18:07:29
It takes a long time and a lot of patience.
I killed Argoyle and that other one maybe 20 times before I got the gold medal.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 20 January 2008, 18:13:29
I've tried that before. I'm just not going to collect any BM upgrades, and just keep using the Giga Crush for that one.

Killing them both at the same time is too tedious.

It actually took me a few tries.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 24 January 2008, 01:52:18
I haven't collected any BM upgrades intentionally so I can perform a Giga Crush must faster for medal challenges. I've got the Gold Medal off of Vultron and the Bronze from Ugoyle & Argoyle. I'm going to use the Giga Crush strategy on the other medals of U&A, but that's it. After that I'm going to collect the upgrades.

Is there anything I'm forgetting that requires me to tediously use Giga Crushes? I don't want to regret it later.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES

Buckfire I think.

Vulturon I think is the only one that you need to ONLY use Giga Crushes on.

For Argoyle and Ugoyle you just need to finish them with it.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 24 January 2008, 02:28:59
Yeah, but I tried other methods, and it's a piss off when you try to finish them off and WHOOPS, you seem to have hit the other one a little bit more than you intended, and the Giga Crush doesn't finish them both off at the same time.

Constantly using the Giga Crush avoids that though. The only problem I have to do now is the finish them off at the same time with a Buckfire double tomahawk and a Hedgeshock spark.

And I know what JC is talking about. That's good thinking.

EDIT: I just need the double tomahawk one now.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 24 January 2008, 02:39:18
The tomahawk one is a LOT easier than you'd think. Argoyle and Ugoyle usually move symmetrically, so stand in the middle and time it correctly when they're passing by. If their damage meters are close, than you should be fine.

I reccomend using Giga Crush for a while until they're both low, though not everyone is as patient as me.

For the record, you CAN get more than one medal at a time, so if you have the chance, go for two at a time. I forgot which ones you can actually do that with, though.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 24 January 2008, 02:42:37
Yeah, I've done that before. Totally by accident too.

I think Vultron is surviving more than 3 minutes + giga crush for bronze and gold combo.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ASR on 24 January 2008, 02:54:26
Yeah, that one usually happens by accident anyway.

I'm not sure, but I think it was with QueenBee. I was aiming for one medal, and when I won I got two.

"Oh wow, goody!"

Posted on: 24 January 2008, 03:41:29

These mission requests are too vague. I'm two medals away from Model a. Can someone give me more information on what I have to do?

Buckfire: "Beat Buckfire by touching Siarnaq's BM Screen and hitting him with the Kunai to get a Gold Medal."

Hedgeshock: "Finish off Hedgeshock by hitting her little rat followers to get a Silver Medal."

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Kamon on 28 January 2008, 23:07:33
Buckfire Gold Medal: Use only the touchscreen to launch Kunai at Buckfire.

Hedgeshock Silver Medal: Use Vultron's charge attack to launch one of the rats into Hedgeshock for the final hit.

I think there's another attack you can use with a different A-Trans that'll have the same effect, possibly Argoyle/Ugoyle's kick or Model F's Knuckle Buster if you're out of BM Energy.

Well, I just did them both. I didn't know you could do that with Sharnaq's data. It sucks, but it's new to me.

Anyway, got them all. Now I need to make a new game.

In MMZX how do you get the subtank in area A-2? I heard there's some tunnel or something you go in with Model H though I'm not sure where it is. Here's a map to make it easier for you to point out.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: jad on 27 February 2008, 06:32:18
Use model H, go to the lower screen area to the big tree on the left. Climb to the very top. You should run into heath, after getting to the top, Dash jump to the left, then dash in the air, you'll run into a wall, slide down the wall until you come across a platform. Fall from the wall and dash left onto the platform. Jump straight up the wall and nab the tank.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: jad on 27 February 2008, 06:42:57
No prob man. Now I've got a question, how do you nab the tank in area E? without resulting in getting hit by a foe to get over the spikes?  lol yeah I got reckless and nabed it like that.  Well this question should be, what is the correct way of getting it.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Xero on 27 February 2008, 09:38:50
Just dash jump for it.  Very easy.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: NovaMan XP on 27 February 2008, 21:16:34
Yeah... easiest Sub Tank in the game... I saw it and just dash jumped for it. The fourth one was a bitch to get though,  having to do the SAME mission so many times...

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 27 February 2008, 21:42:40

You forget the one in the Powerplant.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: ChaosVortex on 27 February 2008, 21:50:47
... I thought you were talking about area A. My bad.

EDIT: But to answer the question directly, the sub tank will be above your head when heading down a staircase. Just Dash jump to it. There'll be a green totem thingamabobber enemy that shoots out sparks. Destroy it, and the sub tank is right behind it.

No effort at all.

You can pay around 10000 EC to increase it, but each time you increase it, it gets more expensive.

YEP. But I think sometimes you need to charge their attacks for elemental damage, like the guardian models.

It's suggested that a certain female supporting character from the Zero series devised a means for the spirits of several important heroes of the past to let their spirits and powers reside in talking rocks called Biometals. They allow certain people to MEGAMERGE!!!!!!! and take on the qualities of the Biometal.

They already have a trial version in real life but it's nothing like that.

I could link you to it but unfortunately you'll have to ask Rez. Otherwise, I'd be nailed with a hammer.

I haven't even tried the multiplayer yet!

The best level in single player is when you get to Master Hand.

But they could omit the Crazy Hand levels, really.

Anyone wonder why Inti says Model A is not based off of Axl even though it freaking is?

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Chron on 22 July 2008, 14:51:42
No. It's because they know most of the fans hate Axl, and having anything Axl like be the main character would automatically bomb the game.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: TheRedPriest on 22 July 2008, 19:00:43
The funniest part is just saying it's not Axl doesn't change the fact it IS Axl.  God, I love how utterly awful that studio is.  It's a shame it comes at the cost of Mega Man.

If Legends gets a new game, Inti will be the ones doing it.  And it will be shoehorned into the AMAZING grandious plot they conceived just like X was.

I can imagine Trigger finding Model A, Z, and X. Then the Bonnes, Glyde, and Claymore and Bola would each find a fragment of Model W, and they'd all get together and fight, then Thomas would show up and be like "I KEEL U ALLZ!" and the game would be over.

Oh, and some ruins would be searched, but only some.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: XJ on 23 July 2008, 15:12:27
Don't get your hopes up for a sequel anyway.  There is no real way that they can continue the series.  The Mother Lode was found, and that was the basis for Trigger and Roll's adventure.  The only way to continue would be a new base plot, but they would probably incorporate something from another game that we most likely hate. *coughzxorstarforceftw*

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Chron on 23 July 2008, 15:22:38
You're forgetting two very important things:

#1, Rock and Roll were also searching for Roll's parents. Even though we do know pretty much who they are, we still haven't yet found them.

#2, WE'RE ON THE MOON.
STILL.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: XJ on 23 July 2008, 15:40:43
1#, we found the parents.  Joe. Remember him? Dropship, train, picture, amnesiac, blah blah blah.  And the body Yuna found and is using? Matilda. Remember her? Hot blonde, has a reaverbot she flies around on, blah blah blah.

2#, Ok, they make a game and they get them back from the moon.  NOW WHAT?

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES
Post by: Chron on 23 July 2008, 16:00:10
No, THEY haven't found the parents. Roll still has no idea Joe is her father, and Matilda isn't back to her old self yet. Not for a while.

And once they're off the moon they have to take care of the elder system, which is obviously a grand-scale effort for Carbon reinitialization; something Juno-like entities and the Mother units aren't a part of and have no control over.

Wonder how'd they twist/retcon that to fit with the ##### they cobbled up in MMZ/ZX.  But more importantly, I wonder what Inafune had in mind originally that we'll never ever see now since the MMZ/ZX retcon will be used to continue any new Legends plot.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES

I meant bad side effects for us.  It's worse than second-hand smoke.

Title: Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES

I consider a contact high a bad side effect for the people around. I mean, you don't want to do it yourself then you're basically getting lung raped by smoke. Any kind of smoke.

Megaman ZX is the most kiddiest games that I have ever played. Sure Megaman 7 had happy go lucky music, but it they know how to make it sound kickass. I understand it's supposed to be aimed for children, but for Godsakes must you make it so damn kiddy. For Godsakes, the allie ship is #####ing pink. Also will they stop #####ing using Megaman. I'm a blue Megaman, no I'm a red Megaman. No, theres only a blue Megaman. The only time you will ever see a "red" Megaman is when he is using a bosses weapon. I can't stand how you must search for stages. I hate the whole hit a boss in a certain place or your not getting the whole #####ing thing. Thats the worse thing Capcom came up with since the nightmare system in Megaman X6. Anyone that saids the plot is more epic than Megaman X5 is on crack.

You know, I hate BOTH series, but even I have to admit that Zero is heads and tails better than ZX in EVERY SINGLE #####ING WAY.  I mean, if MMZ is X7 then ZX is X7-2: Here Comes Axel AGAIN!.

And with this post I bring this topic back from the grave!!...Also i liked ZX but ZXA was...pretty boring after i beat it i mean seriously i don't know why everyone finds the final stage in ZXA that's hard, i just use model H and vultron and get through it easily and final boss...really he was easy the first games final boss was a pain in the ass but this was rarely ever challenging to me.
