If by 'odd' you mean 'one of the worst pieces of crap ever to disgrace the television medium.'

Still better than Sonic X, however.
1302  MegaMan Series / Battle Network Series / Re: A good series gone bad on: 9 May 2008, 03:27:28
In my case, 'is'. Picked it up two days ago from the GBA locker at my local EB, and I must admit to being totally enthralled. For years I ridiculed the BN series on principle without actually playing it, but I really had no idea what I was missing :S
1303  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: What's something you used to eat, but now you hate it? on: 9 May 2008, 03:25:00
That tongue's gonna get blasted away by the laser pretty soon.
1304  MegaMan Series / Zero Series / Re: Is it going to have Megaman Zero 5 on: 9 May 2008, 02:58:53
Amazing how his self-destruct program not only left his main parts intact but seperated them neatly into head, body and legs!
1305  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: New Disgaea games on: 9 May 2008, 01:08:07
1: You mispelled Disgaea.
Don't correct spelling if you're going to make a spelling error yourself.
1306  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: The Introduction Thread on: 5 May 2008, 15:50:03
Have you ever made people pay to get into the mauling tent? I always thought it was a charity service.

It's not the colour of his skin that matters, just how big his cigar is.
1308  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 5 May 2008, 04:56:39
I go one step further and just assume they're not funny all the time. Saves a lot of optimism and later disappointment.

Already knew I hated bagpipes.
1310  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Topic on: 4 May 2008, 23:04:43
Fox is pathetically easy to do it with. Run right up to em, Down-B, vacate the premises. Repeat as necessary. If you're good enough you can even hit them right after they spawn.
1311  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: WoW-tacular on: 4 May 2008, 22:59:05
In contrast it took work to get me to stand UP with the wiimote. I already knew how to economize my movements (it made me a wicked Wii Tennis player thank you very much) and soon an hours-long Twilight Princess session did not daunt me in the slightest.
1312  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Topic on: 4 May 2008, 18:50:55
You use Toon Link's meteor smash outside of a stage with water and let's see you say that. XD

That's a specific case. The way to avoid that is to actually hit someone with the meteor smash, dummy. On the other hand, I've found it far easier to chase my opponents off the stage in Brawl than Melee.

How the hell do you fit the guy who gave you the wrinkled bill into the slot?
1317  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Topic on: 4 May 2008, 03:48:11
One thing I learned on Brawl is that if you take a risk of any sort you usually end up dieing. One way or the other.

WRONG! If anything it's even easier to recover from risky moves in Brawl.
1318  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Proto Man on: 4 May 2008, 03:45:10
'Recapitulating' is an awful word. You clearly have some work to do.

Suggest 'attacking.'
1319  MegaMan Series / ZX Series / Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 4 May 2008, 03:41:25
You can build up an ammunity to caffeine surprisingly quickly, actually.

*ahem* I don't have ammunities to anything. I do, however, understand how one could quickly build up an immunity to caffeine.
1320  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: The Introduction Thread on: 1 May 2008, 02:30:54
I don't like Family Guy. Though that may or may not have something to do with the back-to-back Family Guy marathon I was subjected to last year.
1321  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show Your Stuff! (lots of images) on: 29 April 2008, 04:56:58
Poser American? I highly disagree.

I demand video coverage of that event.

That much?
1324  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Happy Thread on: 27 April 2008, 20:04:42
Especially the matter-of-fact way in which they discuss it.

"it is not inappropriate to an organisation that’s looking to have a firm grip on Government spend."

EPIC.
1325  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe on: 26 April 2008, 05:43:38
Because it is correct. That will probably be my only preorder of all time.

Unless PC Gamer previews it and proclaims it the suck.
1326  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: The Introduction Thread on: 26 April 2008, 05:42:27
Seriously. I'm six foot, 170lb and thin as a stick. How short could you possibly be, man.
1327  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe on: 26 April 2008, 03:16:19
I'm going to preorder SC2, but that will probably be the only preorder I ever make either.
1328  MegaMan Series / StarForce Series / Re: GEE!!! WHY AM I NOT #####ING SURPRISED!? on: 24 April 2008, 03:13:53
LOGIC ERROR!
1329  MegaMan Series / StarForce Series / Re: GEE!!! WHY AM I NOT #####ING SURPRISED!? on: 24 April 2008, 01:38:25
I think I remember asserting on the last board that StarCraft II was more likely to be announced than Mega Man 9. When Blizzard made the SC2 announcement I laughed my ass off, but now I'm just sad. *crai*
1330  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 24 April 2008, 01:32:46
Waited for my school "partner" (who slacks and barely shows up to class) to send me an E-mail like he promised. He said he'd send me the information needed to finish his end of the PowerPoint. I asked him to send it around 7:00 PM so I could get it over with.

It's 8:40 PM. I just got it. It's a load of crap.

Ahem... I'm busy being that guy right now.

*hastens to Word to type up cue cards*
1331  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Proto Man on: 24 April 2008, 01:24:16
Just saying, if you're going to bust out your vocab, at least take the time to work it properly into the sentence, and don't use the Mega Man smileys. They clash with the intelligence bit.
1332  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Proto Man on: 23 April 2008, 01:17:43
Who? Me or him? If me, good call and I'm pulling out of my assault immediately. If him, well, he hasn't showed up since, so you can safely assume he's cut it out.
1333  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Proto Man on: 21 April 2008, 03:02:44
That's what I was trying to get at in a more roundabout fashion, aping his artificial 'style'.
1334  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Proto Man on: 20 April 2008, 06:43:01
Wait. Does this guy carry a thesaurus around with him when he's posting? The vocabulary seems out of place; the sentences lack the natural flow one would expect from something containing said vocabulary.
1335  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: R20 previews! (must see) on: 20 April 2008, 06:36:05
The Bob and George forums will probably sprout about five thousand equally-#####ty incarnations of said sprite sheet in a week or less. And then a few decent ones soon afterward, if the better artists even bother.
1336  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 19 April 2008, 01:40:15
Went to work. There's too many employees there so I was asked to go home. I worked for an hour and clocked out.

I wish we had that situation where I work. Instead we have on average two missing shifts per (weekend) day, ON TOP OF our usual understaffed situation.
1337  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 18 April 2008, 05:58:46
Long day - rather, long afternoon, which consisted of me trying to rein in about twenty trumpet players from visiting middle schools, lead them in practice of a mass-band piece, and then adding my trumpeting to their own for the piece proper.

Twelve-year-olds are an unruly bunch, I must tell you. By the time the afternoon was over, I had an intense headache and was ready to die.
1338  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 18 April 2008, 05:43:45
For some reason I hope there's an ultra-camp character in here somewhere.

It could end up being Proto Man, seeing as his inclusion in an MM1 movie would be highly irregular to begin with.
1339  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: MMM Memories on: 15 April 2008, 02:37:27
They do, if you look at the cast, which has a distinct lack of Bill Pullman (and, obviously, John Candy).
1340  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: If you were making a video game film who would you cast? on: 15 April 2008, 02:31:31
Granted. I would totally watch that movie though.

Robin Williams as Dr. Wily?
1341  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: If you were making a video game film who would you cast? on: 15 April 2008, 01:39:58
Better: Dr. Cain. "If the Mavericks want a fight, that's what we'll give them."
1342  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 15 April 2008, 01:38:15
The game is just so pretty...and trippy. ^.^

Agreed. In fact I've had friends knock it for being too trippy, but I just appreciate that sort of out-there design.
1343  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Super Mario Kart Wii on: 15 April 2008, 01:37:04
I hope not. I've found the motion detection to be somewhat clunky at times, and with a reflex-oriented racing game like Mario Kart that could be a serious drawback.
1344  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Started a new game again... on: 13 April 2008, 02:29:09
I rented the N64 version a long time ago and it didn't quite prove itself worth buying. It was a very close shave, and given the chance to do so again I would have bought, but oh well.
1345  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Orphan Works Bill on: 13 April 2008, 02:03:43
and same thing for a lot of US and Canadian TV shows.

No kidding. The sheer amount of filming done in Vancouver alone is staggering, not to mention the animation.
1346  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Evil/Justice energy and more on: 12 April 2008, 01:11:12
Hot damn the insanity starts before X5..

Still, neat.

Actually, I had been thinking that MM5GB was the start of the insanity, but I seem to have been proven wrong. :S
1347  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: What it Truly is to be a Maverick. on: 11 April 2008, 19:04:37
Speaking as an FPS fan *keeps distance from Rez* I still don't see how these games are encouraging violence. If idiots can't distinguish between the Internet and reality, that's their own damn fault, and I won't allow myself to be deprived of my online fragging fun for their sake.
1348  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 11 April 2008, 18:55:57
Reboot kicks ass. Between poking fun at computer jargon and just enough darkness and sinister-ness to keep me watching, it essentially dominated my TV life around the turn of the millennium. And my mom briefly worked with a couple of the animators from the series, too (well after they were done with it, of course).
1349  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: MMM Memories on: 9 April 2008, 18:52:40

1350  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 9 April 2008, 18:31:28
Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt.

Don't ask me why, I'm not completely sure. It's not a particularly good game, but it's #####ing hard, and when I manage to beat it without dying I'll be happy.
