Title: Cures for Boredom
Post by: Rama Olendris on 30 May 2008, 21:05:45
I've been very bored lately... (the kind of bored where everything seems like it wouldn't do much)

So what do you guys do to get rid of boredom?

Watch too much Seinfeld.

Or DVD's in general.

Or cut off old people in traffic.

I've been horrifically bored for about a month.

I really just should knuckle down on workin on MMM but I'm too bored to even be creative.

I know that feeling all too well.

I usually play whatever game I haven't beaten/ been bored of yet. If that's not available, I go for drawing, spriting, or whatever creative thing I can think of.

My friend just called me today telling me he was bored and wanted me to come over. Unfortunately, I had to go to work in the next hour, so I said "NO FUN FOR YOU".

Oh yeah, when bored, I go to MChat. *HINT HINT*

It's a sickness!

Title: Re: Cures for Boredom
Post by: Mikero on 31 May 2008, 03:47:37
The sickness that turns you from a cute little kid into a grossly pock-marked smelly awkward young man.

... It's a plague.

Title: Re: Cures for Boredom
Post by: ASR on 31 May 2008, 03:47:59
We should do away with it altogether.

Title: Re: Cures for Boredom

...
Internet usage would be quartered.

Websites like Neopets and Candystand would triple in traffic.

Almost the most awesome thing I've seen today. Would've been under normal circumstances, but I saw a lot today.

Got any pictures?
Anything that would cure my boredom?

HOW ABOUT ANOTHER COMIC JA- *shot*

Title: Re: Cures for Boredom
Post by: Johncarllos on 31 May 2008, 04:11:44
I'd do some contributing, as I actually have a computer for it, considering the last comic jam was when I had that Mac.
Draw, Ink, erase, scan, clean, color and pwn.
Indeed.

NO JAM

Got any pictures?
Anything that would cure my boredom?

No pictures. Essentially, I've become so comfortable as friends with this one girl that she decided it's okay to flash me. I told her not to ever do it again, but I also thanked her.

I want your friends sort of kind of.
Not in that kind of way.

I'M DOWN FOR SOME COMIC PEANUT BUTTER AND FLUFF!

Title: Re: Cures for Boredom
Post by: ASR on 31 May 2008, 04:23:08
Yeah, but I'm not totally comfortable with that. Because I've talked with her before and we're just friends and we both know that and have no intention of ever going further, so it's just weird when that element is introduced.

LET'S DO IT

YOU GO AHEAD I'M TOUCHING MYSELF I'LL CATCH UP

Is this a real conversation?

Semi-related; In high school this girl who was my frenemy made me feel her up (like MADE me, physically took my arm when I wasn't paying attention) in the back room at Wendy's and I yelled at her. Then her older sister did the same thing. Then they both did it to one of the managers at the same time.

Ugh. They weren't bad but they weren't like hot either. OK breasts though.

Title: Re: Cures for Boredom

Mike, you know what this means? It means you're irresistable to women! It's dangerous!
I've seen this before! You've got... the kavorka! The lure of the animal!

Title: Re: Cures for Boredom
Post by: Mikero on 1 June 2008, 09:58:31
Why do I have the kavorka that only works with women I either don't like or want nothing to do with? And not even super hot ones, that are like just really bitchy and repulsive, because I could handle that. At least Cosmo's kavorka was able to get that cute Latvian-Orthodox nun-lite. I think my kavorka has down syndrome or a fetish for trashy women.

Post by: ASR on 1 June 2008, 11:36:20
Hey, hey, don't complain! My kavorka actually attracts female animals.

You have the powers every furry prays for!

Anyway I hate boredom more because it feels very ungrateful rather than the fact that I become restless.

Drawing, oh bad things happen (in most guy's opinion) when I draw. Sano should know.

In High School, a lot of my friends did the whole "Let's take someone's hand and make them feel up someone they don't like!" and they got suspended because they were too stupid to not think that teachers actually watch the activities in the hall.

Ahhh... High School... most aggravating period in my life...

I listen to music sometimes.

Other times I write music with Ableton, or more recently with the little Cave Story ORG Maker dealie.  It's fun.  Other other times I'll just write little things in my head that I don't wanna forget.

Really depends on what options are open that day.  If my friends are free, we'll chill or go see a movie.  If not, well... my right hand's always free. Haha.

Also, I've never heard of that game before, Rama.  Must be a regional thing.

I don't think it's regional... Not the average teenager knows it I think, I think it's more of a sub-culture thing. If you like anime there's a chance you know about the game.

By the way, you just lost.

I can make out "You lost" barely, and the I can see where the other letters are but can't distinguish the actual shapes. But my allergies are flaring making it hard to stare at that more than 2 seconds.

It's about 1000 times harder on a computer screen than in a book or poster.

I always use the cross my eyes to 'lock' the 3D-ness of it in.
I can do that with any texture, it's fun, It falsely increases depth perception.
Great to pass the time when you're sitting around waiting, look at the floor, if their's a pattern, cross the eyes and lock it.
Some floors I can get to like 6-7 layers before my eyes can't go any farther.

Yeah I do that too but it's different on the internet + with allergies.

Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 4 June 2008, 00:15:49
I don't see it and I don't have allergies.

I can't use this to trick my friend to lose the game because he doesn't like crossing his eyes.

I can see it easily. It comes and goes, actually. Sometimes I can see them clearly, other times it's just not working.
