Title: I'm a little scared....
Post by: Corruption on 28 February 2008, 13:34:55
Here is the deal.

About 15-16 years ago, my Dad had a bad accident at work that gave him Hernias (Not sure how to spell it). He had to get special surgery to get them removed. The doctor said he would need surgery atleast once a year for the rest of his life. For each surgery that passes, his chances of survival grow thinner and thinner.....

This morning, he went in for his 14th surgery. He put this surgery off for about 2 years because we had a lawsuit against his old company he worked for. If he had gotten the surgery then, we wouldn't have gotten any money for another 2-3 years. Now that we won the lawsuit, he has gone into surgery.....I hope he comes out ok.

I wish your dad the best of luck, a successful surgery and many lawsuits to win.

Those must have been some pretty #####ing serious hernias. My father had a dueling set of them a few years back, but his surgery was no big deal at all.

I would assume that his increasing risk has more to do with his age then the surgery itself, but I'd really have to know more.

That's the crappy thing about anesthesia; The older you get, the less likely it is you'll wake back up.

Best of luck, but just know that if anything does happen to him, it's as painless a death as any of us could hope for.

Wow...

Good luck dude...

But I'm 15 and i had hernia surgery like 2 weeks ago... The surgery itself isn't really bad.

I'm sure your dad will be fine.
