Psychonauts always looked annoying and craply to me.
Really? I took it as a sign that some production companies still care about video games with substance and style. That game is a work of art.

I'd like to think I'm as far from an FPS drone as they come (Prime being the only one I really play), but really, you can't honestly say Metroid Prime is NOTHING like a Metroid game outside of ascetics.
Every Metroid game I've played has involved landing on an alien planet that's crawling with all sorts of indigenous creatures that inhabited their respective 'zones', exploring derelict ruins in what limited areas I had access to, collecting power-ups, returning to previously explored areas with said power-ups to find that they open new areas of the labyrinthine temples and alien landscapes, a few boss battles, and then quickly hauling my ass out of there before the planet/base explodes.
Even the platforming is still there, it's just not as obvious due to the point of view.
I guess I don't see what's missing.

While I'm of the Super Metroid/Zero Mission camp, I (as always) have to stick up for the Prime series.
Everyone says that they don't play like a Metroid game, and I argue that it all depends on what you quantify as a "Metroid" game. Those out there who dislike Prime tend to put emphasis on the lack of platforming, claiming that it was the series main staple. If that's what makes a game Metroid for you, that's fair enough.
I, however, have always viewed Metroid games as being more about isolation, adventure, exploring, uncovering new parts of old areas with newly acquired power ups, and atmosphere. As far as I'm concerned, Prime has each and every one of those.

"lol you're a sheep"
Y'know if that came from anyone else, I wouldn't have been surprised or disappointed.
Good job insulting someone over something as insignificant as a music player gift.
It was a joke. I could honestly give a damn what music player anyone uses. Besides, when was the last time I flamed any member of the board without solid grounds?

Besides that, Marvel has said that the Silver Surfer is the strongest hero in the Marvel 616 Universe. For whatever reason, that just sounds like a bad rap lyric. "Straight outta da 616 BOI!!!"

Shows I like:
- Aqua Teen Hunger Force - The Boondocks - The Brak Show - Carnivale - Dexter - Duckman - Entourage - Family Guy - Futurama - Harvey Birdman - Heroes - Invader Zim - Six Feet Under - The Venture Bros. - Weeds
A fair number of the shows on that list have been canceled, but I don't actually watch broadcast television, so they still count.

Fun fact: Much like word, the text entry field here underlines spelling errors as you go. Kind of hard to miss any mistakes you make.
Another Fun Fact: It's sad that we aren't above ignoring occasional mistakes. Typing like Chimera is one thing, but a simple, single typo...
You should all be ashamed.

I don't expect anyone to do so. I was just giving the factors I take into consideration when I decide if someone is kissing ass or not.
I make it a point not to be nice, if only because that way, when I pay you a compliment, you know I damn well mean it.

There's an astonishing amount of ass kissing going on in here
Ass kissing? Do you seriously think that any form of a compliment is ass kissing?
That depends on: How much effort is put into the compliment Whether or not the compliment was deserved If the person doling out compliments holds a lower status than those they compliment How sincere the compliment seems to be Frequency etc. etc.

Play with one when you're on enough acid that synesthesia kicks in. THEN you'll have a blast.
Never been a big acid fan myself.

On this board?
On topic: I watched that chick from Octopus Project play one of these live once. Those things are very odd, but would be very fun on mushrooms.
