And still, no one has given me a coupable lacking element.

All I ever get is "it just doesn't"
1152  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Best metroid game on: 3 January 2008, 05:27:56
That's just it. Outside of the change to in game physics and point of view, I thought it DID feel like the same game, for all aforementioned reasons.
1153  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: MMM Memories on: 3 January 2008, 05:25:18
I miss Cyron, Delta, Fuu, Liz, Morgan, and Professor Hazard.

I also miss when discussions involving Final Fantasy got you banned.
1154  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Games you wish had sequels on: 3 January 2008, 05:21:05
Psychonauts always looked annoying and craply to me.

Really? I took it as a sign that some production companies still care about video games with substance and style.

That game is a work of art.
1155  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Best metroid game on: 3 January 2008, 05:17:52
I'd like to think I'm as far from an FPS drone as they come (Prime being the only one I really play), but really, you can't honestly say Metroid Prime is NOTHING like a Metroid game outside of ascetics.

Every Metroid game I've played has involved landing on an alien planet that's crawling with all sorts of indigenous creatures that inhabited their respective 'zones', exploring derelict ruins in what limited areas I had access to, collecting power-ups, returning to previously explored areas with said power-ups to find that they open new areas of the labyrinthine temples and alien landscapes, a few boss battles, and then quickly hauling my ass out of there before the planet/base explodes.

Even the platforming is still there, it's just not as obvious due to the point of view.

I guess I don't see what's missing.
1156  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Games you wish had sequels on: 3 January 2008, 04:45:11
Speaking of...

I want more Metroid Prime.

...

To spite Rez.
1157  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Best metroid game on: 3 January 2008, 03:59:25
While I'm of the Super Metroid/Zero Mission camp, I (as always) have to stick up for the Prime series.

Everyone says that they don't play like a Metroid game, and I argue that it all depends on what you quantify as a "Metroid" game. Those out there who dislike Prime tend to put emphasis on the lack of platforming, claiming that it was the series main staple. If that's what makes a game Metroid for you, that's fair enough.

I, however, have always viewed Metroid games as being more about isolation, adventure, exploring, uncovering new parts of old areas with newly acquired power ups, and atmosphere. As far as I'm concerned, Prime has each and every one of those.
1158  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Console Wars on: 2 January 2008, 16:45:06
You just made my day.
1159  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Christmas! on: 30 December 2007, 19:06:25
"lol you're a sheep"

Y'know if that came from anyone else, I wouldn't have been surprised or disappointed.

Good job insulting someone over something as insignificant as a music player gift.

It was a joke.

I could honestly give a damn what music player anyone uses.

Besides, when was the last time I flamed any member of the board without solid grounds?
1160  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Games you wish had sequels on: 30 December 2007, 02:49:04
I'm still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever.

Yes, I know there's a new trailer.

No, my hopes aren't up.

1162  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 27 December 2007, 18:57:07
To be fair, we're communicating the music through text, rather than auditorally, so technically we ARE showing it.
1163  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 27 December 2007, 18:27:32
Besides that, Marvel has said that the Silver Surfer is the strongest hero in the Marvel 616 Universe.

For whatever reason, that just sounds like a bad rap lyric.

"Straight outta da 616 BOI!!!"
1164  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 26 December 2007, 23:00:53
Alphabetized?

I always do that with lists.

And yes, Aqua Teen is supposed to come back on January 20th. Supposedly there's 10 new episodes ready to go.
1165  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: The NMO Story Jam! on: 26 December 2007, 22:56:06
Didn't know that was his look.

I didn't know he HAD a look.
1166  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Games you wish had sequels on: 26 December 2007, 22:49:25
Leave it to Mr. Toriama. It feels about as much like Chrono Trigger as Dragon Quest does.
1167  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 26 December 2007, 22:44:40
Shows I like:

- Aqua Teen Hunger Force
- The Boondocks
- The Brak Show
- Carnivale
- Dexter
- Duckman
- Entourage
- Family Guy
- Futurama
- Harvey Birdman
- Heroes
- Invader Zim
- Six Feet Under
- The Venture Bros.
- Weeds

A fair number of the shows on that list have been canceled, but I don't actually watch broadcast television, so they still count.
1168  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Games you wish had sequels on: 26 December 2007, 13:09:34
You KNOW they've given up Chrono Break when they dub Blue Dragon as it's "spiritual successor"
1169  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Anyone knowledgable about video editing programs? on: 25 December 2007, 17:59:04
What in the hell kind of compiling settings are you using?

More Captain Planet

A new Mario Paint would be awesome for the Wii.
1172  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Matricians: Show your desktops! (Not dial-up friendly!) on: 24 December 2007, 06:39:27
For some reason that reminds me of Ronin Warriors.
1173  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 24 December 2007, 06:38:10
"Mindphaser" - Front Line Assembly

Edit: The new Lupe Fiasco CD is good... but doesn't live up to the liveliness of Food & Liquor
1174  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Games you wish had sequels on: 23 December 2007, 18:14:23
I miss:
- Toejam & Earl
- Legacy of Kain
- Breath of Fire
- Shadow Hearts
1175  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Console Wars on: 23 December 2007, 18:12:46
Pfft, FireFox. Opera's the way to go.

Okay, but why?
1176  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Console Wars on: 23 December 2007, 17:24:54
That's not the first time I've heard you say that.

That's also not the first time you've completely skipped out on explaining why.
1177  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Console Wars on: 23 December 2007, 16:34:34
*laughs* You get what I'm going for.

He could use some fresh air and sunlight.
1181  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Console Wars on: 23 December 2007, 14:45:51
Fun fact: Much like word, the text entry field here underlines spelling errors as you go. Kind of hard to miss any mistakes you make.

Another Fun Fact: It's sad that we aren't above ignoring occasional mistakes. Typing like Chimera is one thing, but a simple, single typo...

You should all be ashamed.

Give it time.
1185  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Battlefield 2142... Do you play eeet? on: 22 December 2007, 05:21:33
I don't expect anyone to do so. I was just giving the factors I take into consideration when I decide if someone is kissing ass or not.

I make it a point not to be nice, if only because that way, when I pay you a compliment, you know I damn well mean it.
1186  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Battlefield 2142... Do you play eeet? on: 22 December 2007, 05:15:34
There's an astonishing amount of ass kissing going on in here

Ass kissing? Do you seriously think that any form of a compliment is ass kissing?

That depends on:

How much effort is put into the compliment
Whether or not the compliment was deserved
If the person doling out compliments holds a lower status than those they compliment
How sincere the compliment seems to be
Frequency
etc. etc.

Play with one when you're on enough acid that synesthesia kicks in. THEN you'll have a blast.

Never been a big acid fan myself.

Just watched it.

It scares me what's happening with music these days.
1192  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Theremin on: 19 December 2007, 21:23:29
On this board?

On topic: I watched that chick from Octopus Project play one of these live once. Those things are very odd, but would be very fun on mushrooms.

"A Wolf in Jesus Skin" - Polkadot Cadaver

I much rather would have brought up this
So... he's a death metal listening, skateboarding, DJing, professional video game gangsta?

Honestly, I'm going to keep antagonizing you as long as you keep posting drivel like that.
