It is a quadruped robot that walks, runs, and climbs on rough terrain and carries heavy loads. BigDog is powered by a gasoline engine that drives a hydraulic actuation system. It's movement isn't the worst part, it's the size of the thing. It runs around like a tiny dog would except that it's the size of sabretooth tiger. But I'd rather meet a sabretooth tiger.
