I loved heroes, lol. >_> And I know I'm the only one who loves it too. XD
But anyway, anyone who's afraid of Brawl being delayed: It won't be. Brawl has already gone gold on American shores, which means that production of the case, manual and discs have started. At this point, unless the building producing the game suddenly burn, the game won't be delayed.

I've always had fun memories of playing Zelda 1 with my dad.
However, the game doesn't seem so fun anymore... It just seems tedious. But I've already beat it about five times (twice for the second quest) so I guess that's enough for one lifetime...

Thank you Mikero for giving me your valid reasons for disliking the game. I know you didn't point out the faults like the side-quests, that post wasn't directly for you only (and I'm sorry if it seemed that way). The dungeons and stuff was my own opinion of why the game is good.
But by the sound of your post, you didn't give the game enough time to even reach the first dungeon. Maybe because you couldn't stand it anymore and if so that's fine. However, I still stand by opinion that the dungeons are still the greatest in any Zelda game made. And although I didn't mention it in my other posts, the final boss battle was really epic too (though, not anywhere near Ganon epic in OoT).

Alright, I've always read your wall of textes in the past but if you're not going to take the time to read mine, then I'm not going to take the time to read yours. And just for the record, I've seen many people who put MM high on their list. I even know a few people who think its the best Zelda game ever made. Your opinion on MM isn't a fact.

Reboot? That's what MHX was. And it butchered MMX. Why would I think another reboot wouldn't reek as much?
I don't think that's what Capcom means when they used the term "reboot." I think they're going to reboot MegaMan by giving him a new series that has nothing to do with any other MegaMan game ever made, not reboot by remaking older games and changing the story lines completely.

Right, let's clarify what an RPG is shall we?
Final Fantasy 3 is an RPG. Pokemon is not. Breath of Fire 2 is an RPG. Starforce is not. Super Mario RPG is an RPG. Lost in Blue is not.
See where this is going?
DS has very few RPGs.
See now, you're thinking about turn based RPGs. Final Fantasy 4-9 are RPGs and not ATBRPGs. Using the term "RPG" now-a-days generally mean games that have battles, leveling up and multiple characters. And while Lost in Blue isn't an RPG, Pokemon is. If you want to get more specific, though it's a One-On-One RPG.

It's faults are that it's horrible. It's hard because it's made wrong, not because they made it difficult.
No, no, and no. The faults didn't make the game difficult in the least. Here, let me resolve these faults. The three days thing? Pretty moot once you play the song of time backwards. You then got five hours to beat one dungeon. It doesn't even take that long to do so! Each dungeon is an hour, maybe two for the last two dungeons to beats, long. The things you do before each dungeon? Besides for the first dungeon (which takes an half an hour at the least), each questings before the actual dungeons take an hour to do. Seriously, if it takes more than five hours to get the dungeon and then beat it then you should seriously stop playing video games. I myself only took six days to beat Majora's Mask (dungeon a day, side-quests for two, and the final battle was mixed with the sixth day for side-quests... about three hours a day, really). And guess what? I was eleven years old back then, and I wasn't very good at video games at the time, either (however I don't have the patience to play video games for more than an hour now-a-days...). The side-quests? Why complain about them? The game was short enough in the first place, the side-quests are just there to make the game longer. Don't like it, don't do them. It's NOT necessary to have every mask in the game to beat it. The amount of times I went back in time is countable. If I had to guess I would say around twelve times for the side-quests and once when I screwed up for the third dungeon (which I memorized and got back to in about five minutes). When I was eleven, I COMPLAINED that the game was too short and it was a waste of my father's money. That was I thought playing three hours a day was nothing. If you don't want to play for more than an hour then you got those owl statues to save for you. You DID NOT have to go back in time to save. Not to mention, those owls act as teleporting spots to get back there if you wanted and those spots stayed when you went back in time. Today, when I think back to it, Majora's Mask was a damn fine good game and not a bad Zelda game either. The game had new gameplay options thanks to the Deku Kid mask, the Goron mask, and the Zora mask. The game also had great back stories for characters that don't even matter. And also, Majora's Mask had the most unique and challenging dungeons of any Zelda game, EVER. The fact that it has a weak story, was short (even today, though it still takes me more days to beat it now), the exact same battle system for Link as Ocarina of Time and didn't have many new items is a reason why I didn't rank this in my top three, but it would still be up there.

MMBN was good until four. Excluding chip challenge.
Though I'm really tired of the gameplay. I really don't want to play a game with its battle system anymore. That's why I only beat MMBN games once each (and only got everything in 1 and 3. 2 killed it for me when I could never get a battle with that Lava Dragon thing).

I felt the semblance of platforming but I didn't really feel platforming. It felt forced. Because it didn't feel like platforming really and it felt like they just put it in so they could say it was platforming.
Well, the second game has a lot of forced platforming in it, IMO, especially with the dark world and light world crap. The first and third games are a unison of exploring and platforming (I can think of times when it's still forced, though).

I've played most of the RPGs listed in ASR's post, so I'll rank them for you, Nova:
- Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker - Everyone should buy this, especially if you're a fan of the Gameboy games. - Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings - A lot better than I expected. An original TRPG. - Final Fantasy III - Pretty good, though the original for the NES was better. - Pokemon Diamond/Pearl - Meh, I really lost interest in Pokemon by this game. - Children of Mana - Too repetitive. - Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time - UGH. Horrible, especially how awesome the GBA game is.

Super Paper Mario wasn't bad. It just got boreing after chapter 3.
For the platformers: 1)Super Mario World 2)Super Mario Bros. 3 3)New Super Mario Bros.
For the RPGs: 1)Super Mario RPG 2)Mario and Luigi: SuperStar Saga 3)Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
And finally, EarthBound. Wait, EarthBound doesn't have anything to do with Mario...

Twilight Princess was also too easy for me... Wind Waker was also easy, but at least it had a wonderful artstyle and great game play that worked with the style.
Twilight Princess was still good though, and something it has over the other Zelda games? Length. It never took me 50 hours to beat a Zelda game before.

My favourite is A Link to the Past followed by Ocarina of Time and then Wind Waker.
On the handhelds, though, Oracle of Ages automatically pwns the rest. When the file is a continuation of Seasons the game is just too awesome.

I don't know about you, but I felt a lot of platforming in the Prime games (especially 2).
Contray to what you think, Rez, platforming CAN be done in 3D. And Metroid Prime does it well (though sometimes overdoes it, like Edge said).

And another nice bit about Super Metroid was getting to places -without- having the required item, usually a jump-boost.
You can actually do that in Metroid Prime... I know I got 100% of items in five hours doing this.

Again, I agree. You're still running around on a planet (or planets, in Hunter's and Corruption's cases), collecting items to enter new areas, killing monsters and bosses with a power beam, and escaping the planet before it explodes.
One thing that the Prime games improve on, IMO, is the atmosphere. Playing MP in the dark through the eyes of Samus feels a lot more realistic than in a third person perspective,

Yeah, Prime had little fetching and no dark world. The only thing you really needed to "fetch" in Prime 1 was the keys and really, you come across those keys while you're on your current route to get a Grapple Beam or Super Missile anyway.

Yeah, the side scrolling thing doesn't suit Zelda very much. It's the same for many series that go overhead to side scrolling, like YS III.
Still fun, though. And the dungeon music is awesome.

While Prime 3 DOES feel a lot less like a Metroid game like Prime 1 and 2, it's still a fun game. Prime 1 is still better though.
Prime Hunters... not a Metroid game. Nintendo made that game SPECIFICALLY to be an online FPS. I find it fun on its own though.
And yeah, I misread your post there, sorry.

A lot of people agree that marrying cousins is fine. That Alanis Morissette understands the definition of irony. That cucumbers taste worse pickled.
They're all wrong too. ;-)
But the issue isn't wether or not the game is called Metroid. It's wether it plays like Metroid. Just because Nintendo says "This is a Metroid game", that doesn't mean the discussion is just done.
Thats why I said technically. And again with the, "it just isn't," eh? You only gave Prime 2 a try, right? Prime 1 is a LOT better and more fun. Prime 2 is considered the worst of the series. If you try out the first one it might feel a little more like a Metroid game.

Zelda 2's not bad if you're looking for a challenge.
I wouldn't recommend Super Ghoul's and Ghosts, though. That's TOO much challenge.
If you have some friends I'd definitely go with Mario Kart 64. Punch Out's pretty fun too, but you have to memorize a lot of things.

No, Prime 2 is acutally pretty bad in comparison to Prime. Prime 2 had too many fetch quests and not enough puzzles.

I too have a SNES with both aLttP and SM. And I have many gems for it too... though, I actually downloaded some for my VC. >_>;; Neither is "It just is".
Well, technically, it is. Even if it doesn't feel like it to you or even to the majority of its gamers say it isn't Metroid, you can't do anything about it because Nintendo says its Metroid. Just like how no matter how much we hate it, BN4 is STILL a MMBN game. But, even though I've said this in pretty much all of my posts in this topic, the Metroid Prime series are good Metroid games... And I KNOW I'm not the only one who agrees.
