It's NOT out today. It's out on Wednesday or something. As I said, it was an "advanced screening". I get these all the time from work, but it was a big weekend and I forgot.
And this is what they do, they do it every time but I've never been too late and not for a movie I was REALLY excited for; They always put out more passes than seats. Always. It's to ensure that people come, radio stations give them out and places like my store get them sent from whoever makes the movie I guess. It makes sense for movies like Love Guru and such, but it's stupid to do it for the movies that will obviously fill up.

I watch sports on a court so I won't benefit from this grass business.
But yeah, an HDTV is amazing connected to an XBox 360, PS3, or a computer with a decent graphics card.

Weird. When I was at the video store some kids wouldn't shut up about it. And I was like "I'm pretty sure that's not for kids dad who is renting it" in my head. I obviously didn't say this. I don't really like movies BY Clint Eastwood since I saw the piece of ##### called Million Dollar Baby.
Anyway I'm beyond #####ing pissed off right now. On friday I got a ticket to see the new Transformers movie tonight, which I REALLY want to see, but I forgot about it. I get a called from my friend at 6:30 reminding me and saying that they're saving my seat right now. So I race over to the theatre with my admit one advance screening pass and there's a line because they overbooked. I stand in this line until there's ten minutes before the movie starts, and they're not telling anyone #####.
Ends up they're letting no one in and then best they can offer is you write your name down on some sheet and they'll give you a free one later or something. Well I said ##### that and came home, I want to see it with people, not #####ing alone. And it's total bull##### because I know for a fact that my seat is saved.
They movie started 13 minutes ago. I'm beyond pissed off at myself and everything.

I couldn't play or watch a Blu-Ray if I tried, I have none of the necessary components and while I think my friends' HDTVs look incredible for gaming I think it's a bit too much def when looking at real people. There's something I don't like about my TV looking MORE clear than real life. Maybe that's just me not wanting change, I don't know, but I'm willing to wait. I always do.
And yeah I agree with Edge about the packaging thing. It used to be awesome. Today it's not as common that something has great packaging, so it's kind of easy to see that going away completely. It reminds of me the sound lost between vinyl records and CDs.
And yeah I still buy movies and music physically.

I honestly never disliked Shia Thebeef except for this. I realize that I'm in an odd percentile of people who can tolerate him. This reminds me that I hate everything "MLG". I like having lots of gamerscore.
I feel dirty.
I know what you mean. I hate the idea of gamerscores, but if I'm playing a game that one of my friends has, I tend to try and top their score (within reason, mind, as I don't go out of my way to do it and I rarely do multiple play throughs). It's stupid but I can't help it. After I finished Mass Effect last night (which I did spectacularly for one playthrough), I was compelled to look through everyone's gamer profile to see what they'd done. I think I have like the second or third highest score of all my friends, but really who gives a #####? It was the same with Fable 2. So dumb. Moving on, as I said I finished Mass Effect last night and I see to have done very well for a single playthrough. I am so excited for Mass Effect 2 that I cannot use contractions or anything but a monotonous voice when talking about it because any crack will cause the dam to burst. Thinking about getting the downloadable quest. Anyway I went to rent Prototype but no dice, they were all out. Maybe later.

Medium well? Eurgh. Mikero or not, that is simply too tough for any but the most hardcore of customers.
You're crazy. Medium well is best steak.
You're correct. "Really" well is the only kind of steak.
I like my steak charred.
You're cgross.

That was an incredible sentence. I used to always sing one of the songs from Newsies but now I can't for the life of me remember how it went. I'll have to watch it again, I remember loving it.
Look at me, I'm the king of New York.

It should work fine either way. I'm pretty sure you can basically tell the computer where to do what, or at least that's how it works when my friend does it on his laptop.

Fair enough. I don't feel really affected by it either since I'm probably not going to play New Super Mario Bros. anyway but...
I don't know how Edge does it. 'Cause I can't talk to strangers about games at all. I can barely talk to some of my friends about gaming because they are, unfortunately, horribly wrong. And I don't mean they don't have the right to their opinion, I just mean that they have no idea what they're talking about. I mean the sort of people, as mentioned in another thread, that don't want a story and/or just want it to look good. You know, just stupid people.

I don't think there have been many games these days that stack up to the oldies in terms of difficulty, or if not difficulty then the amount of skill or practice you need. Effort. At least I haven't met them. I mean, the only thing "difficult" lately is just when a normal not-so hard game gets either retardedly cheap or just weird. I equate bad adaptive difficulty with poor game design. It's not that the game is challenging, it's just not worked on enough. But even still, they really don't making anything so insurmountable you need the computer to do it for you. I mean, going and watching someone do it on youtube (which you could have been doing for years) never comes up. And having to look at a picture of the scene or anything like that is a rarity. I think he meant the idea of having the game play itself, rather than the discussion of said topic.
I should have caught that. I've had beers tonight. That's no excuse really, but...

I'm with Edge. I don't think this actually HELPS anyone. Meh. It's not like you're forced to use it.
Let the lamer gamers do what they want. As long as they're not ruining MY gaming.
They will. Think about it. Gaming is already oversaturated with people who want graphics over gameplay and such, and games are being made that reflect that. This ruins any challenge. And just imagine talking about playing whatever game with someone who used this thing to play the game, they might as well have just watched it instead. It's stupid. I'd sum up this topic with just this one word:
STUPID
How is this TOPIC stupid? I mean, sure, the thing they're doing is dumb, if that's your opinion (as it is mine, obviously), but why is talking about it stupid?

I have one because it's green, pretty much. It was like eight bucks as well. Steve & Barry's.
But I also often back the Spartans in NCAA, though neither had anything to do with the other initially. Used to be the Tar Heels when I was a kid but that was just 'cause I liked the colours and had a hat.

Was that in Bender's Big Score because I really don't remember that one, or Fry going back and living his life in the others. The Futurama movies were all good but something about watching Futurama for that long doesn't agree with me. I don't know why, I love it, but I often forget the movies and/or fall asleep in the middle. But that might just be my friend's apartment doing that. The only one I've ever watched at home was Bender's Game on TV, but I'd already seen it once before. TEARS OF LAUGHTER : The end of "The Ocean Walker" - Arrested Development
Definitely. There is no such thing as "normal". Everything is different from everything and it's amazing.
Thank you for being a cool dude.
Anytime!
