That was cool. Good idea too. I wish I went to University so I could have time to do things that aren't HOMEWORK ALL THE TIME and like enjoy my age. Plus do things like frosh week and stuff. Also live in a dorm, though I could've done that at my college here.
1752  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show Yourselves! on: 13 September 2009, 19:01:29
College and University aren't even different in the U.S., unless they recently changed something... Well this is what I've heard at least, I don't really care.

It's getting to be that University is chosen less these days since it doesn't actually help you get a job let alone a career.

Michael Collymore, ladies and gentlemen!
Mike, clearly you're wrong.

:/

It would be perfectly fine without that line in the elbow actually.

Yup.

Also, Mike, I can't help but laugh at thinking of you doing that pose.

Don't worry, I can't.

Bald Eagle.

Fat and bald, huh? #####ty break.
1755  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: WINDS Gallery on: 12 September 2009, 03:46:50
That photo is a totally different pose than the drawing above, it's not even relevant. I do anatomy studies all the time and her arm is not in a natural pose. Have you even tried to do it yourself?

Her elbow is at a 3/4 view at the same time as her hand is at 3/4, which makes it looks like her radius and ulna are attached oppositelyIknowthat'snotaword unless she's double jointed. Not to mention that she seems to be putting weight on it which is entirely different than doing it in the air with a lifted arm.

This is where I try the pose out myself. Don't picture it just go along with the ride. OK. So.

To get even slightly close to that, I actually have to bend my arm so I can see my own scapula. So my shoulder is way out in front of me and my clavicle is at a weird angle I can press on my face. It also #####s with my muscles and the interossei (dorsal) in my thumb hurts like a son of a bitch. Trying the pose another time, so does one of my forearm muscles that I can't identify off the top of my head (there's a lot). I can't physically turn my hand exactly to that without dislocating something, but I can get close enough so I guess the pose is somewhat possible, unfortunately it #####ing hurts and no one would ever do it.

But whatever, I was just trying to help your anatomy (the most complicated and important part). I'm not trying to sound condescending or anything and I've done my fair share of similars, but when anatomy is weird like that it sticks out HARD and I've done a #####ing LOT of studies in muscles and bone structure and how it all works together just for this exact kind of thing. There's some other little anatomy things but seeing where this is already going I'm not going to go there.
1756  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: WINDS Gallery on: 12 September 2009, 02:34:55
I'm talking about her right arm and I'm not looking at it wrong. Your elbow can't be there when your hand is there.

 I'm just saying.
I do like it.

In a not so pre-emptive strike (removing distractions from film work) I beat Batman: Arkham Asylum today, or rather finished the story and all the Riddler and Chronicles stuff. So, 84%. I don't really plan on doing the challenges but who knows. At least the big chunk is gone. Pretty good game, though nothing was OMGwoahahow story-wise.
I got Killer Croc's arm at the end, apparently it's different everytime you play or something. What did you guys get?
My new animation prof is cool and said it looks like I'm on the right track with my film, which is I wish I could double underline great.

Computers seems OK too. Tomorrow is probably gonna be good because I've had the prof before, like three years ago, and he's awesome. But Fridays will suck since I'm not a fan of my life drawing prof and haven't been since last year.

The only thing I think it will really change is movie production. Marvel has an awful history with their movies that weren't done "in house". Otherwise it's just another asset for Disney's hu-mon slave machine.

Comics won't change, so I don't really care. If the movies get #####tier, well that's too bad, but it was never my prime concern and it sounded like Avengers was having problems anyway. Marvel needed to be bought by Disney, they've been in money trouble since those bahttp://www.megaman.co.uk/mboard/index.php?topic=1324.0nks crashed recently and stuff as far in as Iron Man 2 were even in trouble.

In a sense, it's actually kind of roses. Marvel went bankrupt once in the 90's and it forced them to get better, and they're better than DC to me now (I like both, but yeah). It could force better stuff out of Marvel.

But I'm not counting on it.

What about them? If you're just saying "Look how big it is", well, it's old news. I don't know about anyone else, but working where I work I heard about this project aaaages ago.
1782  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 6 September 2009, 02:44:12
Uh, you can use movesets of the characters in the game in SC3.

For instance, a character can use the nun-chucks moveset or the "Soul Of Maxi" moveset, which gives them the nun-chucks moves that Maxi uses.

Also, the different classes has different abilities in SC3, and use certain kinds of weapons. Like, ninjas have a move where they disappear in smoke  and reappear in the air and launch a bunch of shuriken. There's also some kind of dark/light thing with what the characters wear but I was never sure what that was for.

But OK.
1783  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 6 September 2009, 02:14:11
The first Soul Calibur is... Eh.

I don't see what's bad about SC3 at all. It's not as good as SC2, gameplay-wise, but otherwise it's fine and the custom character thing was really well done, the only problem was you had to unlock all the stuff in the creator. But it was cool because unlocking isn't even close to challenging and there's tons of stuff to unlock.

I haven't played SC4 but I definitely cared less about it existing, and have no desire to try it though I probably will eventually.

STOP TEASING ABOUT STARCRAFT
/skimmed,joking

Thought about that too.

1784  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 5 September 2009, 22:48:56
SC2 is the best one but SC3 was sweet for the custom characters.

Talim all the way. Link can eat a knob, since he plays like one anyway.

I don't know enough about it to say that, I just don't understand the graphical downgrade if it's a GTAIV expansion. When I first saw the commercial at the movies, I thought this was for PS2 or something.

Really? If anything, it looks the same as the normal GTA IV.

Then GTAIV looks a lot worse than I remember.

GTA4's engine got really outdated really fast.

GTA IV's engine is great, but the content is lacking. Since this is the last expansion, they'll probably make the next GTA based in Vice City or a new place or whatever. I want them to bring back the stats and stuff. And the customization. I don't want just jackets and pants. I want some diversity.

And planes.

This expansion brings back car customization and probably further character customization.

Or for a graphical downgrade of that I think GTAIV looks like you could play Saints Row 2, ha ha ha.

Tee hee!

But yeah, I'm not actually certain if it's true or if it's a new thing. But I've had a certain gift card for like two years up until when I tried using it a long while back and it went through. When I was much younger I'd always use them right away so I never had the trouble of them expiring, except once. And I've been told by two of my family members that there's a law against it. One of them has been working for the government for at least 20 years.

When I worked at the government the MAIN thing I learned was that people working for the government are more cynical about the government than 20-something biracial kids who grew up in a project.

The only real edge I think MSN has over AIM is that it's not based on a username, so you can change your display name whenever you want. In the hands of some people however, this is bad, so it evens out. Well actually, user images are 100x100 too, and I find it all around easier to use, but it's probably just 'cause I'm used to it.
