Anyway, finally a recent episode of House worth talking about! But all I'm really gonna say it was good again.

Oh yeah, and I'm definitely gonna start watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia soon.
But for whatever reason, I recently started watching the original Digimon episodes all over again, and I'm cool with that.

I've recently rewatched all the Die Hard movies and I'm really happy about that because they are all awesome even though the second one is the worst.

There's only been one "New Super Mario Bros" game before this one

That much I know but I didn't want to waste time figuring out another way to say that because the main reason I came on MMM today was CYE.

Well help me be unboring Mike.

It wasn't your fault.

You know I bet it's real easy for you to sit there and bitch but let's see you come up with plans to help, eh?

My plan (imagine I'm laying this out on the table à la Home Alone):

People stop just writing a dispassionate list of all the events that occurred in the course of their day and only write the interesting stuff and write it interestingly so that we don't have to wade through a googol (real number) of  "Today I had a piece of toast, read my book, went to work and my boss made me stay late, and got cut off in traffic by an ice cream truck. Why does this ##### always happen to me? My life is so awful" trite posts until we FINALLY get to "EVERYONE HAS THE PIGGY FLU IN MY HOUSE EXCEPT FOR ME. I AM UNDEFEATABLE." or cool shaz about meteor showers.
1373  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Stuff thread! on: 17 November 2009, 00:57:01
Well I don't know if Rosa Parks is in Canada's text books...

No, if only because you don't need a text book to know who Rosa Parks was.

I don't care who you are, if you're from North America excluding Mexico (I guess) and you don't know who Rosa Parks was it's YOUR fault and I don't respect that. You don't have to even LIKE history. Like, you might as well just decide to be stupid.

Anyway I really can't remember having a "History" class until grade ten, and that was SPECIFICALLY a Canadian History class (it was awesome though I didn't like it at first).

But I never said History is not important.

That's exactly what you said. You said that knowing history or not knowing history would make absolutely no difference, which is saying it has no significance, i.e. unimportant. Or in your words; Irrelevant. Which, I have to say, sounded incredibly douchey. No offense to you as a person but yeah it would make a difference if you didn't know anything about the holocaust, and holding on the immutable laws of physics that stop anything from being wholly impossible, I have to say it's impossible that your life would be the same if you had zero knowledge of Earth's history.

I think you're a good guy and everything, but I feel I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn't mention that that whole post put me in a bad mood and I think it was totally ignorant and actually a bit conceded, albeit unintentionally.

But I'm going to leave it there because I think going further will keep me from my dinner for a hot minute longer and I really don't know what I should say to you about it that wouldn't end in a tl;dr response.

History is boring.

You're doomed to repeat it if you know what it is or not.

And JC, if it's any consolation, I've spent the last few years studying international history for school, and I've learned all sorts of stuff. That said: having gone from uneducated to relatively informed, I don't feel as though my life as really been enriched in any significant way. It's good stuff to know in terms of culture, but it has absolutely zero practical value to the average person.

Fair statements, and sure an intimate knowledge of the world's history has no practical value to anyone who isn't that field, but a general level of assumed knowledge in the are is important for anyone who wants to live in, um, society. I don't expect everyone to know every name or date but to actually know nothing, and to aspire to know nothing, is ridiculous and gets you exactly nowhere. But I'm sure you know that, I'm clearly just speaking generally.
1374  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 17 November 2009, 00:28:27
The only reason I said I might not be interested anymore is because I've never played any of the New Super Mario Bros. games and I don't really have an interest in them even though I'm sure they're as awesome as everyone says.

Well, the game on Multiplayer seems to give you a ton of 1-Ups, but I never lived long enough to accumulate enough of them.

The Mushroom Houses that give you a ton of 1-Ups is in the form of a Canon Mini-Game rather than a "Hit The Blocks" thing the DS game did, so it's a lot harder to hit the 1-Ups.
'

Cannon.

"Canon" is  a completely different word.

1376  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Stuff thread! on: 16 November 2009, 01:05:47
just a random fact... there are people who actually believe the holocaust didn't exist and it was a conspiracy.

THIS ISN'T NEWS OR INTERESTING STUFF!

Stan Lee also played an obvious role in Iron Man, he was some guy on the red carpet that Tony talked to for a split second.

He was Hugh Hefner.

I don't know if I like your mom or Chaos' class anymore.

Anymore? When did you begin? Weirdo!

That was the joke.

...
I learned about the holocaust in 3rd grade and about Rosa Parks in 5th.

You have a crappy school system.

I'm surprised it took THAT long, so I think your whole country has a crappy school system.

Also, I've yet to see Iron Man.

It's good, go get it.

Yeah, but he's a ninja assassin, not an assassin ninja! He kills ninjas! That was the joke.

Yeah I got it.

I forgot the word adjective. It is a very hard word to describe. It took me a minute to look it up.

That Fresh Prince video is everything I hate about the internet, and music, and annoying bitches like that.

I don't know if I like your mom or Chaos' class anymore.

I especially remember him talking to Peter in one of the Spider-Man movies.
Spider-Man 3 is the only Spidey movie he really says anything in, but I don't know if it was TO Peter. He didn't play Uncle Ben.

He only makes small cameos. For instance in Spider-Man he yelled "Look out!" and pushed a girl out of the way of falling debris when the Green Goblin attacked the parade. In X-Men he sold hotdogs or something. In The Incredible Hulk he died from drinking gamma radiated pop and in X3 he held a garden hose.

You're weird.

The best advice I can give you is to try and keep them together by doing anything you can. It might be for the best and probably won't work. But I still kick myself for not trying to do something for my situation.

I'm sorry, that is stupid.

My parents got divorced when I was ten and they're better off for it. Trying to keep two people together just for yourself is incredibly selfish and childish, especially if the fighting got to a physical point or the other areas you mentioned.

No. I am aware that some people are better off for it. But in my case it was probably best they stayed together and just went to marriage counseling, it would have worked too. But they're both pretty stupid/stubborn, so they constantly blamed each other, now they hate each others guts and I already said where that got them.

And whoever said it was just for me anyway? Mike, trust me, I know my situation better than anyone else. And I know that if it won't work then it's best to let things go, but if things are salvageable and could potentially better for everyone, it's worth the effort.

Sorry I didn't meant to just assume your situation or anything, I was just being general.

I also had a fever all of yesterday.
