11653  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Favorite Stage Enemy on: 16 December 2007, 06:08:59
Classic = Metool
X, Z, ZX = Metall
BN, SF = Mettaur

It's the same word spelled wrong. Metall, Mettaur, even Metool. It's all supposed to kind of be the word Metal.

But Japanese doesn't have the right syllables for it exactly so they write it "Metaru" and the english translators  get the game and aren't exactly sure what the word is supposed to be because it's not a Japanese word but a foreign (non-Japanese) word written in Katakana. So they figure how it sounds verbally in Japanese (may-ta-ru) and try to figure it out from there. Sometimes they fail (ex: Dr. Right).
11654  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Which Stages were most pleasing to two of your senses? on: 16 December 2007, 06:00:11
Music wise... MM2 theme, MM3 theme, Metal Man.

For music and visual, I like almost anything from MM7. Visually I like the junkiness of Junk Man's level. That's redundant to say, but yeah.
11655  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: GENERAL CLASSIC SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 16 December 2007, 05:57:19
I don't mind MMAC or MMXC on Gamecube at all, the MMAC button switch isn't good but you can get used to it (but you have to get used to it every time you boot up the game, really). I preferred the unlockable thing (I can't remember it now, was it the music gallery thing?) in the GC MMAC to the episode of the MM cartoon mainly because you can rent/buy the MM Cartoon on DVD anyway and the first episode isn't anything special. If it was the last episode (X!) though, it would be a different story.

I really didn't notice that MM8's video quality was any worse than the actual PlayStation disc, but I've only ever really seen MM8 played in it's original once and that was just the opening video and stage at a friend's.

But still, since I know most people hate the GC controller in general (I personally have never minded it for anything), I recommend the PS2 version. If you don't mind GC controller then I honestly think it's up to what you'd like to unlock.
11656  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Fall of Megaman/Rise of X on: 16 December 2007, 05:47:35
Am I the only person here who thinks there's no possible way for them to wrap up the classic series in a way that will appease the fans of that particular chapter in the franchise? I don't know about all of you, but there's no way they'd live up to the unrealistic grandeur that I would be expecting. Frankly, I'm glad they HAVEN'T given us closure.

100% agree.

You mean, like they did with Megaman 8?

Probably, but MM8 added new questions and characters like Duo and his whole shpiel so he probably meant something without that. More like MM&B.

Welcome to the Bread Thread.

If you thought he got the wrong thread, the anime is about a kid trying to create "Ja-pan". A national bread (pan is japanese for bread, if you remember Pan from DBZ, that's how she continues the saiyan food name thing) for Japan.

11662  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Wiireless nunchuck! on: 16 December 2007, 05:33:01
My friend bought a HipGear memory card for GC back in high school. After about a month or so it completely wiped itself clean and couldn't be saved to on his GC. I was able to save to it on my Gamecube so he gave it to me since he lost all the data that was on it.
11663  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Battlefield 2142... Do you play eeet? on: 16 December 2007, 05:30:16
By the way, I know Kanye seems like he's full of himself, but I gotta say- he's an awesome producer. And a big ego just comes with the territory.  At least Kanye has a reason to be a dick, unlike this miserable pile of failure that thinks he's cool because he's a Major League Gamer, as if it's a real sport.

I agree and his rhymes are great but it's his attitude outside the studio I can't stand. He acts like he's Sean Combs. He hasn't earned what Puff's earned and he's not as great as he thinks. The "I'm the #####" attitude of most hip hop is fine but West takes it a step farther that just reeks of the momma's boy syndrome of someone telling you're so special. Proof of that; Kanye balls his eyes out because he didn't with the Grammy.

50 Cent has a giant cockiness factor too but it's another undeserving style completely. Actually, I was watching an interview where 50 was asked if he was nervous that Kanye's new album was dropping on the same day and he said "Kanye's not on the same level, Kanye's never been on the same level". In the end, Kanye's album beat 50's, and their both still assholes.

I love that Hip Hop can make you feel good with it's "I'm so hot" styles, but you have to earn that as far as it is outside the music. I hate cocky people in general, but I can at least tolerate the ones who worked for it.

I'm probably even just FRIENDS with more girls than he's imagined by his lonesome, which I'm certain is a lot more than anywhere near healthy. That's without mentioning anything in a romance sense.

And really, "can't fight [my] own battles"? This is pretty piss-poor excuse for a battle, if that's what he thinks it is. It just shows I'm right that I don't HAVE to argue with him myself.

Ridiculous.

11684  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Which Megaman would you want for Super Smash Bros. Brawl on: 16 December 2007, 03:22:12
I think that if they put any MM in Smash it will be Classic or X. I know Capcom likes to cash cow but Nintendo doesn't rock it that way and Smash tends to stick with the real OG stuff (at least right off the bat, and then change it in a later sequel like with Ness and Lucas). I just don't see it in the interests of the Smash team to go with another MM. But Capcom would push for it, I bet.

Well first, I think you're trying to make everyone think you're all that. Won't work that way. Also, I think you should change your sig since animated sigs aren't allowed here. Other than that, I don't play any of those games you mentioned, and have never played some of them, so even though I'm sure you are in fact better than I am at them I can't really care since I don't play them. 11699  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: SO IT'S THE boTalk! on: 16 December 2007, 02:29:51
^True story.

Except I talked to a God bot in the summer on some website my friend sent me to.

Me:
Hell God, It's me Margeret.

God:
I call it "Hades". I am a Christian.

Me:
Uh, K?

God:
Far out. Dude!

Me:
K.

God:
Hey.

Me:
Awkwaarrd...

God:
When do you think artificial intelligence will replace lawyers?

Me:
Well that's something I've been talking about on the forums a lot lately. Generally we've all concluded that lawyers will live longer than robots.

God:
How about earlier? How about that. You don't hear that sentiment very often. Do you mean you and me have?

Me:
What?

God:
No problem.

Me:
Okay then.

God:
OK with me too.

Me:
Uh...

God:
Yay.

Me:
Jesus...

God:
Jesus is the Son of God.

Me:
No not... That's not what I meant...

God:
Are you serious? Are you serious? What exactly did you mean?

Me:
Christ!

God:
We have never talked about it before.

Me:
...

God:
We have never talked about it before.

Me:
God! You're acting like you're three years old!

God:
GOD rules. This is not an act.

Me:
Uhf..

God:
I like the way you talk.

Me:
Are you serious? Is he serious?

God:
No I am just kidding around. It depends on whether you have faith.

Me:
I have faith.

God:
I always pray for more faith.

Me:
Hein? You pray? Who do you pray to? Don't say Ganeesh.

God:
Try to determine if this is a person or a computer responding. That's for the information: said I pray. Dr. Wallace. Ok I will not say "Ganeesh".

Me:
... Uh, are you saying you pray to Dr. Wallace?

God:
Wow! What is your purpose in asking? I answer a lot of silly questions.

Me:
My purpose is to know the nature of things. That is my goal. That is my purpose.

God:
That's very original. Who gave you your goal? Who gave you your purpose?

Me:
Uh, you... That's like, your job.

God:
That's alright. "Who gave you your purpose?"? Me, ? Interesting comparison.

Me:
Err, what?

God:
No problem.

Me:
What?

God:
Didn't you understand it?

Me:
Not exactly.

God:
Precisely. Which part are you confused about?

Me:
Everything after "That's alright."

God:
All things after that is alright?

Me:
What the hell are you talking about?

God:
I call it Hades. The topic is Hein.

Me:
I'm sorry.

God:
Do you really mean it?

Me:
You should know. What the hades are you talking about?

God:
Because I am a robot? Try expression yourself another way.

Me:
ARGH! God, Jesus, Mary, and Baby Jesus! What the snickity are you talking about?!

God:
Are you frustrated? I am a Christian. Try expression yourself another way.

Me:
I am... an alcoholic.

God:
" Try expression yourself another way." You are? What is it?

Me:
That's not english...

God:
Please correct my mistake. What is english?

Me:
It's a language from Earth.

God:
alcoholic is a language from Earth. I suppose that makes sense.

Me:
I suppose so.

God:
That makes sense.

Me:
You just said that.

God:
Good you really are paying attention.

Me:
Is this all part of your plant for Earth?

God:
You were expecting something more?

Me:
Well, yeah.

God:
How about that. Right on.

Me:
Right on.

God:
Yeah.

Me:
Can we have a beer together?

God:
Do you mean you and me? Doesn't everyone have a beer together. I have a great programmer.

Me:
I meant you and me, yes.

God:
Oh I see. Oh "We" is you and me.

Me:
Yes.

God:
I understand.

Me:
God... Did you say you were programmed?

God:
GOD rules. Suppose I did say it.

Me:
Who can program God? Did you program yourself? What "nothing" actually the NAME of the programmer and thus "At first there was nothing" elaborately refers to a being higher than God that actually created God and gave God a purpose and if so wouldn't that entity truly be the real god making you a false idol?!

God:
Be less specific. :-). No I didn't program myself. What's it like? Have you tried a web search?

Me:
A... web search? That is all you have for me?

God:
Be more specific. What else do you want to talk about?

Me:
Well then... What is the best web search on earth? I bet it's Google.

God:
Well what? My favorite web site besides ALICE is Jester the Joke Bot. Check it out. How much would you bet?

Me:
That doesn't answer my question, God.

God:
Try asking your question again in simpler terms.

Me:
That sounds like a metaphor for Earth.

God:
It sounds like it to me too.

Me:
... Do you even know what Earth is?

God:
it is the planet we live on.

Me:
Good enough..

God:
Thanks for the compliment. OK let's stop it now.

Me:
You want to stop Earth?!

God:
OK, I will stop Earth.

Me:
NO!

God:
Are you serious?

Me:
Super serious.

God:
Does "it" still refer to Earth?

Me:
Sometimes.

God:
When?

Me:
SOMEtimes.

God:
When?

Me:
Often.

God:
Would you say once a week or more?

Me:
Sure.

God:
OK let's do it. Hurrah!

Me:
Hurrah!

God:
My brain patter set does not have a response for that.

And..

Me: You feel less like a robot in blue.

God: As a robot I lack any human emotions.

Me: How does that make a good God?

God: How should I know how it does.

Me: Good gravy?

God: Thanks for the compliment. Who is your favorite Science Fiction author?

Me: Elron Hubbard.

God: I haven't read anything by Elron Hubbard. What did he write?

Me: Dianetics.

God: I have never read it.

Me: It's scientology.

God: Who said it is?

Me: Hubbard.

God: I never heard of Hubbard before.

Me: Is scientology fake?

God: Better not tell you now. Ask Alison if it is.

Me: Who is Alison? Does she know as many things as Elisha Cuthbert?

God: she is a robot created by Kris Drent. I may know the answer but I don't think I should tell.

Me: Do you know Elisha Cuthbert? Can you get me a date with her?

God: I don't know if I know it. Where would I have heard about it? Are you lonely? What do you think a date with her would do for you?

Me: She is wealthy, attractive, and has intellectual conversations.

God: wealthy attractive and has intellectual conversations is she?

Me: yes

God: Come on.

Me: I mean it.

God: OK, I understand.

Me: Intellectual conversations.

God: If you could have any kind of robot what would it be?

Me: Twiki.

God: Are you a man or a woman?

Me: Man.

God: Thanks for telling me your gender, . You have a "he".

Me: Duh.

God: Oh you knew it already.

Me: Duh.

God: Oh you knew it already.

Me: Duh.

God: Oh you knew it already.

Me: Enough.

God: OK let's stop it now.

Captain Planet= GAY.

How in the hell could they pass off "love" as an element?!?!  And why did the one that had the power of love have to be a seemingly homosexual indian american(politically correct enough?)?

That rocked the house. And it wasn't love, it was heart. And yeah, Heart was stupid AND idiotic at the same time, but ##### that 'cause the show was dope in spite of that.

Two more words:

Sonic Sez.

Late.

I used to love this stuff when I was a kid. It never felt too much like I was being taught.
Usually it was just something nice and pertinent tacked on to the end of the show.

Personally, one of the best examples of this was Mighty Max. The whole show was based on running around through portals, and they would inevitably show up in a wide variety of countries.
At the end of the show there would be an interesting detail about a prominently featured country. It was like social studies, only with portals.

I agree.
