801  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: MMM's Mega Man 9 Leaderboards! on: 15 October 2008, 04:48:40
Ditto.

Why didn't Wily just make that stage in the first place?

Probably lack of funds.
802  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: So whats going to happen to the X Series? on: 14 October 2008, 22:46:21
An X4-based X9 would be good too, but really what we need is X1's X gameplay and X4's Zero gameplay. I hated how X played in X4 - so #####ing loose, and they put a cap on your fire rate, the bastards.
803  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 14 October 2008, 21:47:01
Only problem: if you miss ONE of those time-savers you'll have to wait for the disappearing blocks to cycle.
804  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: So whats going to happen to the X Series? on: 14 October 2008, 20:56:09
Probably nothing, which is all for the best anyway. If we're really lucky, an X9 taking after the style of X1 (using the same soundfonts would be brilliant too, I loved that game's instrumentation). We're probably not getting that lucky though.
805  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: -ROBOT MASTER THREAD- on: 14 October 2008, 19:35:43
The original Mega Man sprites are composites of two 4-colour sprites.

EDIT: DAMMIT ASR

DUH-DUN! DUN! DUH DUN!
807  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 13 October 2008, 20:22:57
I love when people make A-Team references.
808  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show Your Stuff! (lots of images) on: 13 October 2008, 01:39:33
Keep in mind that the game is about 8 megabytes, which is at least four times the size of any NES game. I don't think an NES could search that much data to display what needs to be displayed.
809  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: The Introduction Thread on: 13 October 2008, 01:33:48
Yes it is.
810  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: The Introduction Thread on: 12 October 2008, 19:40:46
It's more.

*only said that because he can write well but can't draw worth two #####s*

Lovin' it.
812  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: MMM's Mega Man 9 Leaderboards! on: 10 October 2008, 20:17:46
Just shoot faster. It's easily doable without stopping if you have a charged bazooka ready and then just spam right after it hits.
813  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 10 October 2008, 05:52:39

EDIT: Needed that final touch.
814  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 10 October 2008, 05:51:10
No, and I certainly don't rip off the logo of another (better) shooter to use as the logo for my clan either.
815  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 10 October 2008, 05:49:31
It won't be coming for at least a year or so IF IT DOES. In the meantime, focus on making more complete sentences with better punctuation (that said, there's only one or two minor problems with your post and I'm not feeling nitpicky)
816  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 10 October 2008, 05:29:27
If you were so good with computers you would be a much better typist.
817  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 10 October 2008, 05:28:42
They're about what you might expect.
818  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 10 October 2008, 05:27:42
You still forgot the space in between the words so I'm going to go ahead and disregard your correction. DOOMSLAYER NEVER WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL LALALALALALA
819  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 10 October 2008, 05:24:16
Yes, he's sure.

He said 'no high school', as in he was never in high school.
820  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 10 October 2008, 05:22:49
Besides, it's clear you have little or no focus whatsoever.
821  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 10 October 2008, 05:20:42
Poster boy for ADHD, eh wot.
822  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: MMM's Mega Man 9 Leaderboards! on: 10 October 2008, 02:42:19
Rechecked my Plug Man score, it's 1:35:80. Going to give the level another try anyway.
823  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: MMM's Mega Man 9 Leaderboards! on: 10 October 2008, 01:59:41
I used this route. I couldn't get the bloody Rush Coil trick before the miniboss to work, though.
824  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: MMM's Mega Man 9 Leaderboards! on: 10 October 2008, 01:55:12
Just got 1:28:31 for Magma Man. Still more than five seconds off the WR.

EDIT: Oh, and 1:26:33 on Concrete Man and 1:35:xx on Plug Man.
825  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 10 October 2008, 00:38:19
Because that is such an original and fresh joke. I applaud your creativity.

827  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 9 October 2008, 23:09:41
I had the dubious distinction of living in a town with one of the highest average ages (~55 IIRC, though with the rate of population growth there it's probably lower by now) in Canada for eight years.

My favourite backwater BC town, though, has to be Chemainus on the outskirts of Victoria, which has as many huge #####ing murals as it has streets but you'd pass it by in a heartbeat and might not even notice it was there.
828  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 9 October 2008, 21:08:27
You cannot sleep at home tonight, if you can get up and walk away

Luck, then.
831  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: MMM's Mega Man 9 Leaderboards! on: 9 October 2008, 04:17:26
Liberal use of Rush Jet for the epic win, sir.

833  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: MMM's Mega Man 9 Leaderboards! on: 9 October 2008, 04:13:34
Magma Man 1:41:23

Tornado Man 1:39:15

Jewel Man 1:42:93

Concrete Man 1:27:85

Hornet Man 1:43:15

No all-clear ranking for me because I've not yet finished off the game a second time, I'm holding out for a sub-30 on that.
834  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 8 October 2008, 20:29:01
FAIL!
835  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: On a scale of 1 to 10, how good do you think your Mega Man playable skills are? on: 8 October 2008, 20:14:23
Necromancy!!!

So Mega Man 9 pretty much agrees with my previous assessment of my abilities.
836  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 8 October 2008, 16:03:42
He does, however, bear a slight resemblance to the cop form of the T-1000.

##### I didn't even realize Terminator was back, I'll have to do what I can to catch up. Shows how much TV I watch these days.
838  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Majors on: 7 October 2008, 23:46:22
I voted for the Squirtle Squad.

But clearly only Conservatives or Liberals ever win so I guess my dream is over!

They would do a better job of running the country than the communists would.

The Communist Party had a booth set up near the Applied Sciences building yesterday. I was at once amazed and amused.

Pssh, Skull Man could beat Metal Man up any day.
846  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Upcoming Games Topic on: 6 October 2008, 15:49:13
Dust Man is whatever it is. On the other hand, though, that game also produced the most awesome Robot Master ever.
847  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Majors on: 6 October 2008, 06:58:49
Probably not.

And considering the state of BC's economy by the time we finally ejected the NDP, I think it's probably for the best.
848  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 5 October 2008, 23:02:10
Ass isn't censored here, Lamer. You really don't need to do the job yourself.
849  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 5 October 2008, 22:36:29
Shouldn't matter, alt-codes are designed to be universal.
850  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 5 October 2008, 21:34:10
The expansion chip was probably unnecessary, though - if they were going to use one, they should have gone SuperFX instead of that Cx4 chip that only allowed them to do wireframes.

Maybe they could have spent the money on using better soundfonts instead :S
