501  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 3 January 2009, 18:06:20
Oh give me a break, the SNES soundtrack is SOOOO much better.
502  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Star Wars Battlefront III surfaces on: 3 January 2009, 07:17:34
There's really nothing to comment on, but I'm not terribly impressed. I might buy it, I might not.

But I might never buy another Star Wars game that isn't TIE Fighter 2.
503  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 2 January 2009, 20:31:35
Well, it's a good thing you know about it now, just in case there IS a point in your life in which you are required to push help for once.
504  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 1 January 2009, 20:56:14
Got to work at 5, had to kick it into overdrive the ENTIRE five remaining hours of business, then there were two of us closing from 10:00 to 11:15. Damn.

Watched Seattle's fireworks on TV. This year they actually had their ##### together and it went off without a hitch.
505  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 1 January 2009, 07:45:49
You're not missing much.
506  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: We may see all the connections between the X and Original series. on: 31 December 2008, 19:46:05
I'm sure that wasn't supposed to make sense, but if it WAS, sorry it didn't.
507  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Fall of Megaman/Rise of X on: 31 December 2008, 06:51:29
I briefly considered it, but decided I really don't care enough to bring it up.
508  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 31 December 2008, 06:41:29
Meat Loaf - Anything For Love

I blame Mike.
509  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Matricians: Show your desktops! (Not dial-up friendly!) on: 31 December 2008, 06:40:37
##### I love that song.

And that is some awesome stuff.
510  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 31 December 2008, 03:05:05
The thing with jogging is that, for reasons that continue to mystify me to this day, most people have difficulty doing it.

On the other hand, I'm terribly out of shape - there's this one hill on the way home from work that I used to be able to run up without difficulty (with all my work clothing/miscellaneous items), and lately it's stymied me to no end. This might also be a product of the change of temperature between August and December, but I'm certainly not nearly so fit as I was then.
511  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Image thread! (try to avoid memes) on: 31 December 2008, 02:24:16
Would be interesting if it was a less obvious shop.

EDIT: Oh, hello page 20. Didn't see you there, terribly sorry.

Good lord, you've driven my posting speed up too. Cut it out.
512  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 30 December 2008, 05:45:11
There are times when the sly implication is as far as the board rules will stretch, and in general this is one of those cases.
513  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Whats your least favorite Megaman X Game?? on: 30 December 2008, 05:40:35
Half of me is wondering why you bother and the other half is wishing I'd said it first.
514  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 30 December 2008, 00:05:14
Got Far Cry 2, just in the middle of getting the damned 50MB patch, will probably simply jump into multiplayer without any clue what I'm doing.
515  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Obligatory Annual "Whatchoo Get?" thread on: 29 December 2008, 18:35:57
I commend your choice.
516  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 29 December 2008, 06:56:13
We don't give the computer much reason to top 60-70 degrees. It's rarely working its hardest, except when I'm playing cod4.
517  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Megaman 9 on: 29 December 2008, 06:00:52
'Better' perhaps in a technical sense because of the differing technology in use. However, by no means were the arrangements themselves better. Most of them were in fact TERRIBLE.
518  MegaMan Series / Battle Network Series / Re: Which Battle Network Game is Best? (Poll) on: 29 December 2008, 05:57:54
Good luck finding them, I still actually haven't found a copy of BN1. If you do, you're in for a treat.

On an almost entirely unrelated note, I just realized this Tuesday that one of my friends' bedroom could have been used as the blueprint for Mayl's.
519  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Megaman 9 on: 29 December 2008, 05:52:04
No.
520  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Megaman 9 on: 29 December 2008, 05:44:18
I love MOST of the songs, particularly the fortress stages and Crystal Man, but Gyro Man and Wave Man simply do not sound good at all.
521  MegaMan Series / Battle Network Series / Re: Which Battle Network Game is Best? (Poll) on: 29 December 2008, 05:38:04
Still good, but not on the level that 2 and 3 were.
522  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Image thread! (try to avoid memes) on: 28 December 2008, 23:14:49
None of those are anything like interesting, but good try.
523  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 27 December 2008, 22:32:59
Crosby, Stills & Nash - Suite: Judy Blue Eyes

I've been hunting this song down for AGES, but didn't know the title :S
524  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Obligatory Annual "Whatchoo Get?" thread on: 26 December 2008, 03:23:18
Looky.
I want that.

I. Really. Want. That.
525  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Obligatory Annual "Whatchoo Get?" thread on: 25 December 2008, 23:17:15
Listened to the album last night, and it makes a good backdrop for reading but I'll probably only rip a couple of the tracks. Overall not offensive to my ears, but Zeppelin is my raunch limit.
526  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 25 December 2008, 19:19:08
Happy jesus day, etc.
527  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Obligatory Annual "Whatchoo Get?" thread on: 25 December 2008, 05:25:44
Money. A lot of money.

Also some books:

A compilation of A Brief History of Time and The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking.

Firstborn by Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter. Which really means that Baxter wrote it and Clarke stuck his name on it.

Also a new pair of earbuds (although I've already got a probably-better pair, they're more than a month old and thus on their way out, inevitably).

And a Black Sabbath collection, which I may or may not enjoy (me not being a metal fan, really, at all). Probably not enjoy, but I can't find out until I try it.
528  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 25 December 2008, 02:43:24
I have the PC version and the soundtrack is installed with the game so I can bring those epic tunes around with me anywhere I want. I wish they'd used a higher bitrate, though. Oh well.

Everyone should try the demo for free, at least. It ought to blow your mind.
529  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 23 December 2008, 18:36:15
WORLD OF GOO

SECONDED

There is no excuse for not getting that game. Seriously.
530  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: I found a bunch of old EGM magazines. (Lots of images.) on: 22 December 2008, 20:57:30
I think it was the Golden Age of OUR generation.

The younger crowd nowadays probably disagrees.
There were some really good N64/PSX games but I'll always have better memories of the SNES.
531  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: AyEsArt - [12/10/08 - In the nation of Alecrobbinsland...] on: 20 December 2008, 20:05:58
I can see why you would want to keep that a secret.
532  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 18 December 2008, 03:13:46
I did so well so easily in high school that I never learned how to work at learning. As a consequence, my grades are probably going to suck.

Fortunately, all my exams were so easy that I shouldn't get much worse than a C+ on any of the courses (which is still, you know, #####ing terrible).
533  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 16 December 2008, 19:28:12
I'm sure I'll... figure it out myself.

*hastens back to ds*
534  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 16 December 2008, 18:18:36
Bought Chrono Trigger DS yesterday on a whim, now I'm #####ing addicted, someone help me.

I DONT EVEN LIKE RPGS AND I SOMEHOW LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH
535  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Have you started liking something after playing a videogame? on: 15 December 2008, 21:31:40
Oh yeah, that's right, Castlevania games inspired my mini-obsession with the guy in my avatar, although they were supplemented by On a Pale Horse by Piers Anthony.
536  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Have you started liking something after playing a videogame? on: 15 December 2008, 06:32:09
Almost every game I've ever owned has had an AWESOME soundtrack, so it could be said that my interest in video game music was inspired by the games I played. Other than that, nothing.
537  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Mortal Kombat vs DC Quickie Review (It's actually worth a play) on: 12 December 2008, 19:59:33
The rules are the only things that have changed less than the mods, really.

Yes, that makes perfect sense.

Dr. Hook - Carry Me, Carrie
541  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Let's talk flags, yeah? on: 11 December 2008, 05:04:46
Ukraine's flag is simple and elegant. And I'm descended from them, so that helps.

Oh, and Libya for no good reason.
542  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Upcoming Games Topic on: 10 December 2008, 02:16:56
They seem to habitually forget that the Wii is actually a modern gaming platform capable of better than circa-1999 3D rendering.
543  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Upcoming Games Topic on: 8 December 2008, 03:58:53
It goes so far beyond gamerscore though.

The average gamer these days is guilty of two primary sins:

1.) Taking themselves too seriously. This is why games that aren't hyper-realistic or shooters are seen as being "too kiddie" If you aren't killing something or humiliating someone, there's "no point".

2.) Having no imagination. If they don't thirst for variety, developers stop trying. This is how we ended up with so many essentially identical first-person shooters.

YES.

I'm still a shooter fan, but I want my Battlezone and Tribes back.

And my TIE Fighter, for that matter. Think another X-Wing game wouldn't sell out in a day? Think again.
544  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 6 December 2008, 21:00:01
Even if they could legitimately call it a 'total annular eclipse' - which seems redundant, because an annular eclipse is one in which the moon comes directly in front of the sun but never achieves totality because the moon is too far away from Earth to obscure it completely, and they'd be more likely to call a partial eclipse just that instead of distinguishing by type of totality - I saw that eclipse. It was clearly total total, corona and all.
545  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 4 December 2008, 19:36:32
Like I said, they lost me at 'total annular eclipse', which doesn't even make sense as scientibabble, let alone actual description.
546  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Image thread! (try to avoid memes) on: 3 December 2008, 23:59:50
Except Bob Saget is there.

Therefore, your table is invalid.
547  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Video share topic on: 3 December 2008, 22:24:42
Yeah, if I were pressed to name my single favourite song from any video game ever, Stickerbrush Symphony would be it.

Which reminds me, I should get back to tweaking that midi...
548  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: We may see all the connections between the X and Original series. on: 3 December 2008, 21:16:53
He never fails to entertain.

Silly Mikero, addin a > before the string doth not code make!

Hmmm...
550  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 2 December 2008, 20:15:44
The first three books are pure gold, though I'll admit that the series goes bat##### crazy after that.

Patrick Stewart was the only good part of the first Dune movie, but I haven't seen the newer Children of Dune one so I can't pass judgment on it.
