151  MegaMan Series / ZX Series / Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 9 December 2007, 19:55:08
Yes yes, see. I got you all to admit atleast one redeeming factor to the series. Honestly, favorite thing about Megaman games for me, was the astounding music.

ZX delievers. Thanks to MMMRadio, I heard Trap Factory. I do like Trap Phantasm more, but both are really nice.

Thanks to MMMRadio, I feel like picking up EXE1 again, amusingly enough. XD

Anyways... I also have a question. Maniac mode? I've heard about it but... what's the skinny on it? Is it REALLY harder than Extreme mode (which is actually hard for me, oddly enough. ChronoForce is a pain) and is there any rewards to reap?

EDIT: Epic lulz. I looked a bit further into it. Maniac = Expert.
152  MegaMan Series / ZX Series / Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 9 December 2007, 19:20:19
*shrugs* Aside from some rather entertaining gameplay (again, ignoring the festering words of Rez), I will say the main thing I dig about ZX is the music. I don't think there was a track in particular I didn't like.

No matter what I do, I can't get rid of Trap Phantasm from my mind. It's gooood stuff. But yeah, sure... ZX is alot better than Zero series... or X7 and what not. Definately better than Star Force. Remember kiddies, it's either this or Star Force.

In the words of a wise old witch, "Choose your poison wisely"

(Note: Still, I like the Zero series aswell. Screw what everyone else says, the games were fun to play, albeit a bit too challenging... they were still kickass. ZX takes over that impressively)
153  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on: 9 December 2007, 13:52:36
Actually, that's the whole point of what I said in my previous post. None of that was necessary since I was done.

Alas, I suppose it is fair for someone to get in their last 2 cents on the matter, so I'll simply take what you said and leave it at that.

Though, truth of the matter, I started arguing with you on a day with no sleep, so I probably didn't even provide a decent arguement. XD

Oh well, never the less, arroganct jackass... interesting.

Do I think I'm better than everyone? Hardly, most, maybe... but then, I've been jaded to feel that way due to the scum around me. Oh well, life will continue to go on, with or without. *shrugs* I'll have to refrain from the rest of this topic however, to avoid spoilers. *glares at Sano*
154  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on: 9 December 2007, 05:56:25
Then you should act accordingly to what you really think. Over emotional, perhaps, but emotions are all humans really have going for them in the end. Emotions is what makes us interesting and I happen to have very strong ones.

As such, I take emotions very seriously. Where you see "just a cartoon" I see another world, a place of equal standing of our own. My mind works differently from yours, so just the same you cannot have assumptions that someone might not take offense to your words aswell.

Alas, I have no further reason to argue with you. You proved my point at more than one point and also equally called me on an error of mine, so I'll simply call this a draw, for your sake and the sake of this topic.
155  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on: 8 December 2007, 21:20:32
Yay! I made Ares like another show!

Rejoice my son, it is a good show. I still don't say it's all the hype but it's good in it's own right.

It's just... episode 8 man... the series just won't be the same now. ;_;
156  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Welcome back! on: 8 December 2007, 20:26:12
Whatever you have to do to make yourself feel good Xero.

It's the only way to satisfy him. He has to live in the fantasy world where he thinks he can defeat my awesome power. My power even transcends Abe himself! I am the descendent of Abe!

I always wondered what a cross in the very recesses of Time and Space would look like.

And now you know, my child. It is I... well, crossing I anyway.
157  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Welcome back! on: 8 December 2007, 20:15:15

Correction. I am a god. You just haven't realized my greatness. Rock understands, they all understand, for to cross me is to cross the very recesses of Time and Space.

A folly that you would wish not to make, mortal.

Classic Ares. Oh, the global-scale threats that have been thrown at me over the years...

But you mortal, have not crossed me since! (possibly due to our lack of encountering, but we'll ignore that point) You understand the power amassed before you, the shear weight of the situation that is present, the undeniable FEAR that lurks withing!
158  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on: 8 December 2007, 20:13:37
Ares is even more sad now. Episode 8.

Yeah. ;_;
159  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Welcome back! on: 8 December 2007, 20:11:05
Only times I vaguely remember Ares was when MChat was public, him and Sano picked on me...

Then I joined the board, and his account was banned. He came back as Ancient Eagle. He was a moderator on RPM and what-not and now he acts like a God.

EDIT: ...

Correction. I am a god. You just haven't realized my greatness. Rock understands, they all understand, for to cross me is to cross the very recesses of Time and Space.

How could I forget.

Incidently, I do forget... did you worship me or not? If not, then I have no time for you, mortal.

You were BANNED.

You do realize I banned myself right, on purpose?

I took someone's account and logged on MCHAT for Christ's sake. If that's not asking for a ban, then someone's not thinking straight.

Never the less, my legacy didn't die when I was banned AND I returned anyway, as previously stated. I've been banned so many times, that one time you were aware of, nub, matters not.
161  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Welcome back! on: 8 December 2007, 19:37:33
PROVE IT!!!!!!!

162  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Super Mario RPG on: 8 December 2007, 19:31:35
It's good.  But I don't understand the cult of Geno.

How in the ##### can a doll gather so much popularity?

He was the obligatory badass character of the game.

Naturally he has fans.
163  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Super Mario RPG on: 8 December 2007, 18:40:43
Epic Lulz.

Well, while EsshBeeh has HIS point, I'll have to say... SMRPG was probably my favorite Mario game period.

Then again, I don't care TOO much for Mario.
164  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Your favorite animes, and why you like them on: 8 December 2007, 17:47:56
Ares, your list didn't have Haruhi on it, what's up?

As I said. I couldn't be asked to list off every show I like. That'd be retarded, it'd be too long. I just listed five of my favorites that came to mind instantly.

Haruhi is definately on my list of favorites. It touched me in a way only one other show has...
165  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on: 8 December 2007, 17:44:02
Don't worry, there's Loli when Nia shows up, or at least she's Loli till the time skip.

Time skip makes Ares sad. Oh well.

Episode 6. Shows pretty damn decent, I may have been wrong about it. Still hate the fans though.
166  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Your favorite animes, and why you like them on: 8 December 2007, 17:22:27
Typical Ares. :)

Naturally. I don't change, I evolve. XD

Protip: Anime sucks.

Nah, I'm just joshing.

I'm still feeling the backlash from my weeaboo phase.

It's sad you know. There aren't very many "decent" Anime fans. I think that's what's killing the thing altogether... that and the release after release of rehashed Anime ideas every season. It's sad honestly, that it breeds less and less intelligent fans (Wind) and utter assholes.

Ever so briefly, sometimes I feel ashamed to like Anime, or watch certain shows. Like Gundam SEED for example... good god the fans are such dumbasses.

*shrugs* Alas, it's a moot point honestly.
167  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Your favorite animes, and why you like them on: 8 December 2007, 16:29:18
Doesn't matter, both are good.

I've only seen The Slayers, out of those, so I have no idea what the others are like.
Although I've heard from a reliable source they are not worth my time.

Hmm. I beg to differ. Next and Try were fundamentally superior to the first season.

But hey, to each their own, no? Either way, if you get the random chance down the road, give it a shot, you might like what you see.
168  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Your favorite animes, and why you like them on: 8 December 2007, 14:45:36
I haven't been into this for a while, but I liked a bunch of the older stuff.
Gotta love Outlaw Star and The Slayers.

Thanks, another show that had to be mentioned.

Slayers, any of em really... I prefer Next simply because it was the one I was most into, even if Philia didn't enter the scene till Try.

Outlaw Star was also decent. It was the "other" Cowboy Bebop, I like to say... even though I think Outlaw Star was made before Cowboy Bebop... not sure.
169  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on: 8 December 2007, 14:41:38
*cough* SEED/Destiny is uncompariable actually. You don't know much about Mecha do you?

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is a Super Robot show. SEED/Destiny is Real Robot. Totally different spectrums, that's why I don't care for it for the most part. Then I also found out it more or less betrays most Super Robot shows aswell, being some kinda weird thingiemajig.

I don't even like Super Robot shows, so I doubt I'll bother with a knock off of the genre too. >_>
It doesn't matter if it's a "real" robot show, it's a cartoon. So why should someone care if it's some kinda weird thingiemajig? If you don't expect something from a series, don't watch it. :\

The reason I thought Seed/Destiny was crap was because it was too damn touchy feely, I don't give a crap if they'res teenagers in war and they need affection, the only affection I want is something with a knife and gun.

You are officially an idiot. One, you don't even know the difference between Super and Real, do you? I like Real Robot because it's usually set in a form of warfare with technology and logical weapons. You watch things for action and overacting characters with over the top abilities I assume. You probably watch godawful ##### too, like DBZ.

Secondly, I'd like to see you get tossed into a war at a young age. Being someone who knows what it's like to have to fight for your life on a daily basis... I can atest "somewhat" to that myself. I've had enough near death experiences and being forced to defend myself countless times... sometimes with very very negative side-effects, especially on my psyche. So no, I doubt I'll ever respect your opinion ever again, since you are like every other dumbass who casually talks about actual serious subjects as if they are nothing, just the same, "people like you" also happen to have gone through next to ##### in their lives and amount to nothing, as the typical human trash that we are forced to associate with on a regular basis.

It's either people are overly emo these days, or utter jackasses you think it's "cool" to be insensitive.

Incidently, my son, I watched episode one. I regret to say, but I wanna see episode 2 and 3 atleast to see where this is going. It wasn't half bad. Not enough Loli though.
170  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Welcome back! on: 8 December 2007, 13:56:17

171  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Your favorite animes, and why you like them on: 8 December 2007, 13:55:29
I forgot two for my list. Najica Blitz Tactics. It's like Bond, but with pantieshots out the wazoo. The entire anime may as well be fanservice, and the plot was fairly sound...if you're not too distracted that is.

Mezzo DSA - you have to see this to believe it. It's short, but well worth watching.

Hmm, never heard of the first one, but Mezzo DSA was good stuff. *nods*

I'll check out this... Najica Blitz Tactics, even if I'm not really that big on fanservice. (unless it's of a... certain variety.)
172  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Your favorite animes, and why you like them on: 8 December 2007, 13:40:51
Death Note: I like this anime because it's VERY interesting.

Naruto: I like this anime because it amazingly improves with each season......and because I like Ninjas.

Dragon Ball Z: I like this anime because it's so freaking awesome and the battles are so damn epic.

Inuyasha: I like this anime because of it's action and story.

Eureka 7: I have a liking for romance stories (not the old style romances though) and since this is a very well done romance story, and because it ends the way every romance story should end, (the male and the female getting married) I like this anime.

You sound so... generic. I suggest watching something other than what America gives you sometime. Matter of fact, go watch some subbed stuff.

Anyway...

I have quite a list of shows, so I'll dumb it down to five.

Card Captor Sakura: First thing I watched, wish I could unwatch the first time I watched it, due to the horrific dubbing (I'm sorry, but cutting out 1/4 of the episodes and rearranging what order they are in is pathetic). It was a beautiful show with plenty of fun emotions and had an interesting assortment of characters. Not to mention the taboos that were in the story intrigued me alot, especially at that age when I was supposed to be blinded to such things. Fun times were had with this one.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha (All Seasons): Mmm... The series that revived the magical girl fan in me. I'll have to thank SB personally for this one, of course, since he directed me to the series. It had everything that CCS didn't and then some, it was exciting, explosive, teary eyed fun and of course there was fanservice of a... special variety, especially in the first two seasons.

Gundam SEED/Destiny: Lolololol, those who have seen it, I expect to hear lots of annoyance from you people. Loved it, great animation... even with the reused scenes, awesome robot designs and the most hacked character in any show, Kira "Jesus" Yamato. Between him and Shinn, lulz ensued over the net.

Code Geass: #####, I blame Ben/Saber from RPM over this one. He made me watch it and then I was addicted to the awesomeness that is Zero. Excellent plot twists (as mentioned earlier in topic), excellent animation and art, fun and interesting characters and a twisted storyline. The mechs aren't half bad either.

This last one is hard, but I'll pick Shakugan no Shana this time, instead of FMA.

Shana: It has an interesting world, with equally entertaining characters, a intriguing love triangle and even had some incest, lulz. Action sequences, when they occur, are really nicely done by my opinion and Shana is just one kickass loli.

Chrono Crusade - It has a good plot, even if it does kick you in the teeth at a few points.
Excel Saga - It's just so insane it's fantastic.
Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 - babes in battle suits, what's not to love?

Finally, someone else that has actually watched Chrno Crusade and Bubblegum Crisis. Man... I need to watch both of them again. Excel Saga is also delicious. XD
173  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: On a scale of 1 to 10, how good do you think your Mega Man playable skills are? on: 8 December 2007, 13:25:51
BN:  I don't want to even touch these abominations.

You suck, hard. -_-

CV scale it is.

Classic: A 7, though it could be 9 with RM weapons, given RMs give me more trouble than levels... unless it's MMPU. Physics are wonky in that game.

X: Pfftt, 9. Easy series is easy.

Legends: 10, easier series is even easier.

Zero: 7 plain and simple. I can shoot for S rank and all that, but it requires constant memorization of levels. I don't count that into my ratings.

EXE: 10, because my skill in this game is sexy, like myself. Even mister "knows the series like the back of his hand" man can't match me. >_>

ZX: 7 meh, haven't really got into it yet. Also, I get killed in cheap ways, so I'll let that count to my score.

Star Force: TEH GEHYZ.
174  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Matricians: Show your desktops! (Not dial-up friendly!) on: 8 December 2007, 13:15:55
*sigh* Normally teh gehys doesn't bother me, but you yaoi fans really killed a series for me this time. Now I can't go much of anywhere involving PW without seeing it. -_-

Oh well, desktop created by my bud, Dominican Zero. It's nifty and stuff.

Observative Thought: Now that I thought about it... You guys did it to FMA and a few other series... yaoi fans breed upon every series like rats.  :(
175  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Any ideas for the future of MMM? on: 7 December 2007, 07:33:55
I'm pretty sure it was MasterVile who told someone they had to keep clicking randomly on the screen super-fast to unlock different avatars.

Naw, I believe that was me in an attempt to get people temp banned by MChat's auto-ban function.

You know, I had many ways of getting people banned. I'd dance around with n00bs, making them dance a bunch then stop and call Xero. Hilariousness ensues when they try to prove that I did it too.

179  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Would YOU pay 15 MILLION for a Legends 3? on: 5 December 2007, 17:18:53
No, I didn't miss the "complete" in the title.  I see your logic, but that's not a chain and lock on never making a new game.  They release a "complete" X book?  Great.  X9 can still happen.  I couldn't give a flying ##### if MMZ continues, but frankly, it could too if Capcom wanted to do a 5th one.

A stupid little book is not a law baring Capcom from making a new Mega Man game, and to think so is utterly absurd.

Hm. Well, fair enough. We'll know either way eventually, right? I think it does serve a point, these "complete" books, but just the same you might also be right. I don't like to believe in absolutes anyway. *shrugs*
180  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: The Rise and Fall of the Matrix on: 5 December 2007, 07:47:59
A few lamers:

Peter Herdsman, Zombiedragon (albeit they were a DASH! problem as well. I have problems sorting out which trash was from where), Lance, Nall, and of course, Chimera.

*Raises hand* Yo, I take pride in my work.

Incidently, I'll sign up. To be the neutral and "pain in the ass" character if you need one.
181  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: I seriously fear Mega Man's future. on: 5 December 2007, 07:43:34
Final fantasy rant here!

I stand by my oppinion...

I just don't tempt the wrath of Ares.

lulz, tempting my wrath he says. No, worry about that when MChat comes. Everyone knows I'm more formidable on MChat than I ever was on the MBoard.

I digress, I won't be going into FF since this topic IS about Megaman. Unlike RPM (bless it's heart and soul) we talk about Mega here and frankly... it is pretty sad to see what has become of things and the road from here on out is bleak... but I too stand by my "opinion"

There really isn't anything we can do but accept the future of Megaman and leave the games behind.

Live in the past and only play the old games, think'n about the good 'ol days.

Or simply moving along with the flow of things, accepting what is for what it truly is and finding our own solice in the future that is on the other side of the horizon.

Or someone can get off their ass and make a kickass fangame.
182  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: I seriously fear Mega Man's future. on: 5 December 2007, 07:33:59
*shrugs* You're all zombies dancing to the same tune.

Simply put, Megaman's future is that of something that will appeal to the new generations. Seriously, it's never going to be the same, so you can either live in the past, play the old games, accept "The Shape of Things to Come" and just move on/find another game series to enjoy, or suck it up and play the new games too.

I'm not going to say any choice is particularly easy to pick, but I found some enjoyment in ZX after EXE ended, so until they make something better, I'm just gonna tough it through. There's nothing else that can be done, we live in a new era.
183  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Would YOU pay 15 MILLION for a Legends 3? on: 5 December 2007, 07:21:27
Hey, Rez.

You missed the point of the word "Complete" Source Book.

That means it's completed. Finished. Done. Fin. Not to be continued. >_>

No seriously I don't care much about opinions, so I'll just let the rest of what you said slide, however the fact that you dismiss nigh fact so simply is... disheartening. Think about it for a second. Zero series is finished right? What was released? A Complete Source Book, imagine that. Now, lets take into the account of what Complete means one more time shall we? Completion is something that is full, finished, accomplished to it's fullest extent, no?

I rest my case.

Oh and before you reinstall your point, throw everyone else's "so-called" Source Books out. This is Capcom we are dealing with, not whoever else you have in mind. I'm pretty sure they are ready to gimp us by giving us Complete Source Books to satisfy, so they don't have to make a end-game for every series.

Observation: It IS great to be back at MMM, discussion for the win and all that.

185  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Would YOU pay 15 MILLION for a Legends 3? on: 5 December 2007, 00:05:59
I want Mega Man 9 a HELL of a lot more than Legends 3, but I pray they never make it.  Why?

All I want is 8 robot masters, some solid arcade platforming stages with distinct flavor (flavor =/= forced stage gameplay themes) and a good simple "Wily attacks again" to tie it all together.  But we won't get that.  Every stage will be some poorly designed "theme" (speeder bike, fixed scroll ceiling crush, giant robot chase you, etc, etc) which kills the fast paced platforming and some horrendous "ZOMG WILY MAKES ZERO SOMEDAY MEGAMAN WILL BE AN ELF" bad fan fiction plot to tie it into the other abortions Capcom has made post MMZ/ZX.

And so too will the case be with Legends 3.  The first two games are solid gold.  But they're dead.  let them rest in peace.  Legends 3 will be just as bad as ZX, Starforce and MMZ.  Inafune and Capcom have lost the magic and are too bogged down in a putrid continuity to ever make the game Legends 3 deserves to be.

By saying that, they might aswell never make a new classic, X or Legends game. Right?

*sigh* Regardless of the matter, Classic is done for, X is soon to follow. The release of the Complete Source Books is pretty much the signal of a series end, so whether we wanted it or not, Classic is done... and like Rez, it's probably for the best, albeit not for all the same reasons.

ZX is honestly all we have going for us, since X will have their Complete Source Book released soon enough, I can practically feel it. Star Force is a moot point, but atleast ZX stands a decent chance, if we throw our anger and disappointment towards what Megaman has become.

Just my two cents. Take 'em or leave 'em.

Idiocy aside, ZX is the only viable choice, since we all know that if anything would be in Brawl, Capcom would put something they can advertise.

They only want to advertise stuff they are selling.

Star Force and ZX.

Honestly... I'd rather take ZX. Common sense, really.

You're a horrible person.

Damn straight. A God of Destruction has to be cruel, coniving and... impartial.

Lord, if I could walk, I'd kill you, but how may I pay tribute?

Kill him. *points at ASR*

Bring back Dracula, then we'll talk.

I'll think about it, after you pay me tribute.
