I am running my PC with a 5760x1080 resolution, and occasionally at 5760x 2160 when I add the TV I have mounted above my PC. I wanted to find a decent desktop wallpaper for that use and for my 4K in the living room, but there's nothing with sufficient smoothing and fidelity for 5760 pixels wide across 5 feet. I decided to use the ansel feature in Witcher 3 to get a decent looking super resolution shot. Struggling with the one that came out as 200MB, but the 28 MB one is available HEREThe other one is HERE. Went through a couple resizes from 30720x17280 down to 5760x3240. Posted on: May 14, 2018, 07:22:47 PM
Here's how the first one looks applied as my wallpaper. Right hereio, yo.The color issues are partially because I'm still working on calibrating my monitors, and partially the slightly side viewing angle on my TN panel screens distorting the color range. I got the outer 2 for free off of a job recently, so they're not perfect, but they do have displayport in, which allows me to overclock them to 75hz, which is nice.

I agree on the whole weapon durability horse #####
any game that still uses that is #####ing stupid because a sword won't shatter into pieces after one hit too many
This is why I mod my games to remove weapon durability. Posted on: May 04, 2018, 10:46:59 PM
An open game while linear in each area So not open at all is what you're saying. It can't be open and linear. It's either or. Just being able to choose an area to go to from a hub and then shuttled down a linear path isn't an open world game.
They tried to make the path to the Zora area pretty linear. I followed it, it felt good. Next play through though? I'm doing that one last and coming right over the top.

I quit Doctor Who after the first season of Capaldi but was disenfranchised after the send off for Smith.Haven't cared about it in a while, but I only started watching the New Who in about 2010.
Teelio, as far as Doctor Who goes, The first 5-6 seasons are pretty solid on average. Occasionally excellent.
I recently watched Altered Carbon on Netflix. It's future Sci-Fi based on a book series. Really really good show. Has some borderline rated X scenes, is also super gory. It's really pushing the HBO type show on netflix, but overall it is REALLY good. The first episode is confusing, but you'll know if you like it after 2.

I've always tried but generally failed to have meaningful conversation. Entirely due to a general lack of effort on my part to type as much as I'm thinking and take the effort to organize it.
I've tried to reduce my low effort posts, but I still have tendency to post half-assed posts because I want to keep this place alive and thriving.
The amount of activity here lately has been inspiring, and we even have an actual new member who contributes his ideas to the conversation which is wonderful.
I just super like this place, it's been huge to me for the last, what, 15 years?

I'm giggling with you, Rez.
I'm just glad there are still a few reputable game companies out there, like CDProjektRed, Team Cherry, and Team Salvato to name a few. (yes, oxford comma)
Capcom hasn't done much right lately, except maybe Monster Hunter and Resident Evil VII, I think.
Hope to GOD we get an X4 style game with 3 different version of the game tweaked for all 3 characters. Maybe even a spiffed up X3 style.
BTW, see lots of talk, but has X9 actually been confirmed be cappucommu?

I thought it was bizarre as hell too. Tried it once and got hooked.
I'll definitely keep buttermilk in mind the next time I do chicken fried steak, as mayo does it better than I have otherwise, but not as good as I've had it elsewhere.
Great idea for a topic, by the way. My girlfriend grew up in a house that over cooked all the veggies and didn't season the meat. The best meals she ever had were from restaurants. Since living with me she has been able to learn the basics and even go beyond.
It's great because it means I don't always have to do the cooking now. Still trying to teach her the grill, though.

Fun tip: If you ever need to make something baked/fried with breading on it, don't do the egg-then-breading dip. (unless you're actually using a batter)
The easy method: Mayonnaise. Mayo is just whipped egg whites and oil, so slather a thin layer onto you meat of choice, then dip in bread crumbs, then bake.
Best chicken tenders I've ever made were with avocado oil mayo. The oil helps seal the moisture in, the egg makes everything stick together.

I have my Vegan sister over for dinner pretty often and one of my favorite dishes to make is
Roasted Brussels Sprouts
My favorite way to make this dish is with:
Sweet Potato Potato Pecans Maple Syrup Brussels Sprouts (obviously) Light Olive Oil
Preheat oven to 425F
Clean all the veggies first. Cut the stems off of the brussels sprouts and then HALVE them. Cut the potato and sweet potato into roughly dice sized pieces, leave the skin in tact. A good ratio is 1 part potato, 1 part sweet potato, 2 parts brussels sprouts. Take all the veg and throw it into a big bowl. Douse it with a bit of olive oil, just enough to give everything a light sheen when tossed.
For spices: I generally just use rosemary and steak seasoning (Black Pepper, Salt, Garlic Powder)
Crunch up the rosemary in your hand first, just a few pinches worth. Add the spices onto the oil coated vegetables and toss it around until you get a light spackling.
Spread the whole mess out on a baking sheet, 1 layer deep, with a few little spaces in between. I've generally been okay as long as all the pieces are toughing the pan and NOT sitting on top of one another.
Total cook time is 20 minutes or until the edges of the Brussels start turning from lightly toasted brown to dark brown. Loose leaves will start to char in the pan, that's normal.
The pecans are optional, but I generally throw pecan halves in at 12-15 minutes. Just raw, right on top, a light spread of them.
Lastly, drizzle a little maple syrup on it when you serve it to give you a sweet contrast to the earthiness of the pecans, rosemary, potato, and sprouts.
It's healthy, it's easy to prep, it's quick, and it's one of my favorite sides with Steak.
BTW Teelio, I make something similar but I do it like a lasanga, layering it from bottom to top with burrito ingredients at each layer in a pie pan, using flour tortillas. I'll have to try the corn tortillas wrapping it next time.

I've recently taken my i5 6500 and through a backdoor in my motherboard overclocked it to 4.5Ghz. 40% performance boost for only a $30 air cooler improvement. And I don't even really break 60C. I'll do more Witcher soon, but Rocket League has me real bad lately.

That magnetorheological fluid could be stored in ballistic sacs for when the outer armor isn't equipped (or is only partially equipped during high agility/flexibility scenarios) that are actually keyed in shape to the armor pieces. Almost like veins under the outer mesh.
Something like that would allow this semi-fluid ballistic gel to dampen impacts (maybe not take high speed/armor piercing bullets) and still allow for extreme mobility, then a partial application of the armor over vitals wouldn't add a lot of weight and maintain flexibility. Lastly a fully stripped armorbike would apply all the parts and have more of a batsuit coating for extreme ballistic protection and more tank-y approaches.
I also have to admit I haven't played Arkham Knight, but I just watched a video of the super Batsuit v 8.03 introduction while writing this post and I see a lot of similarities. The biggest advantage your character would have is being able to unequip any piece at any time with a very specific motion to 'unlock' it if he does use a magnetic outer layer.
It could also mean that all of the melee and throwing weapons are integrated into the armor itself.
I'm imagining him injured/immobilized with only one arm free and getting shot in the chest, acting as though the bullet penetrated the armor, grabbing the chest plate, unlatching it with a specific motion and throwing it like a shuriken. (Perhaps with a light boomerang effect either through magnets or fancier tech)
Lots of sweet options for suit up montages as well.
Could you layer the bike for different levels of tank/stealth?
I could also see this type of thing making a really kickass videogame dynamic, almost deus ex style with a choice of how to build the bike for mobility and exploration but certain bike/armor choices locking out other options per build out.

Being able to detach pieces fits with the modular helmet tech too. I'm imagining some sort of keyed magnet system that disallows anyone else from attaching the armor to themselves , but having it attach to a steel/carbon fiber mesh regular ninja suit. Using something like a more advanced version of this technology. https://youtu.be/IANBoybVApQ?t=2m39sWatch through to 3:37 to see the thing I'm thinking of. I'm guessing you already have something in mind, but I think this is a cool option to ground the character in modern tech that could easily advance exponentially. Posted on: April 05, 2018, 04:52:20 PM
Especially the spring latch at 6:00, for equipping and unequipping magnetic armor plates.

There has been a director mode for a while, which allows for setting up your scenes however you want, even animating them. I think CD Projekt Red they made the 2 year anniversary video with it.
"Ansel" is just nifty new NVidia code that devs can insert into their game so anyone can do it if the game dev supports it. It's extremely full featured. I'll be posting more screenshots next time I play.
One can currently take screenshots of up to about 60,000 x 35,000 resolution if desired. It ends up being about a 32GB file.

Topic is a place to post/link to PC games and modding. I really just want to share some screenshots I took in the Witcher 3 using NVidia's new Ansel feature which pauses the game and gives you free camera control for screenshots. Even just toying around I think I got some decent shots. Here's the album so far. It's from a single fight with a Fiend, but I'm trying to better understand how to adjust the depth of field and bokeh effect for more control. Every shot can be filtered and adjusted.

I use Yamcha and Tenshinhan constantly as my mains, although Yamcha appears to be bottom tier.
I think having Lunch and Yajirobe would be awesome, it would help mix up the very similar combat styles of most characters. We don't need more Gokus and Vegetas.
I know for the first DLC they have confirmed Brolly and Bardock.

It's a nice contrast, the potentially friendly eyed ninja warrior that immediately turns into what looks like a murder cyborg could lead to some great combat transitions.
Just as long as it's not as often as Black Panther's last fight.
I like the more rounded face shape in the upper left for non-armored, then it being so much more angular afterwards.

My friend and I share steam libraries, he picked it up as a huge fan of the MVC series.
I played it, I had an okay time with it, but nothing wowed me. Playing as X feels like turd, and Zero is slightly better. The X characters in the game in general don't match my playstyle very well so I barely ever pick them.
At least Sigma has his wall to wall dashes from X1, those feel great.

Anybody on PC wanna play it?
This thread is for game discussion and maybe finding others to play with.
I've been playing it and having some of the best fighting game fights I've ever had online with my friends. The netcode is spectacular.
The story kind of stinks but it at least legitimizes Yamcha and Tien being playable characters (two of my mains).
I haven't completed the rest of the second and third arcs so I'm hoping there is some kind of decent backstory for Android 21.

I started writing this post and had to look up when MMZ1 came out because I felt like my age had a lot to do with how I felt. MMZ1 came out over 14 years ago, I think I got it as a late 14th birthday gift because it came out about a week after mine. I was beyond elated that a new Megaman handheld came out because I loved X as a kid.
I LOVED the Zero series. I didn't see it's faults, all I saw was another MegaMan game that felt kind of like MMX. I wasn't good at videogames so I just spent my time grinding until I could beat it, and I loved it for that. I had a positive enough experience that I got 2 and 3 after it as well, and eventually ZX.
I haven't touched those games in well over 10 years now, but my nostalgia glasses are still on for them.
I even play the X series with L as dash because it got so ingrained to me on my GBA.
Also, don't know if I've said it, but welcome to the MBoard LCrazy11

Awesome! An Xbone for that cheap is a helluva deal. If I were selling my 2 year old one I'd sell it for more than that. I think right now I'm mostly just looking for something action RPG-ish that isn't a Souls game. I may get Skyrim for Switch because I still haven't really played that.
You might want to check out Hollow Knight. It's an excellent game in it's own right, but it definitely has some dark-souls esque bosses and the rest of it is melee metroidvania. I put like 30 hours into it, loved it. And all DLC is free and there's still more to come. One of my games of the year, 2017, easy.

Inspect the body. It makes a great album cover. Well Rez there's a reason they whitewash in hollywood and that's because MOST people can't SEE race so ergo they can only cast white people otherwise a big portion of the audience only sees the actor's clothing floating around and talking and stuff. Leads to issues.
