Title: Pandora.com: Music you'll have to like.
Post by: dzx9 on 12 December 2007, 18:36:04
Pandora.com (http://www.pandora.com/)

A free streaming radio that uses the Music Genome Project (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_Genome_Project) to help you find music you'll like.

Just enter a name of a song or artist you like and it will start playing. If they're not allowed to play that song for one reason or another, they'll play a song like it. The program will continue to play songs that are similar to the one you chose.

Oh, registration is easy and I haven't been bugged once by any emails.

I have to look into proxies. They are still blocking German IPs.

Many thanks.

Too bad the Java scripts for creating or starting a station don't work through this, it seems.

I have, but for good reason. There was a bill being processed that significantly raised the fees internet radio stations would have to pay in order to broadcast their material. They just wrote us so we'd be aware of such things, and in hopes that we would contact local representatives and ask them not to sign the bill.

Pandora is great though.
