251  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Do you plan to drink? yes/no. on: 24 September 2008, 03:19:47
I did LSD once...
At home...
By myself...
I had a very, VERY bad trip...
I honestly thought I was going to die...
...
I will never do strong hallucinogens again...

EDIT: Also, I seem to remember getting out my gun to defend myself from Lucy the Chinchilla...He was trying to eat my soul...
252  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Chrono Trigger on the DS? on: 24 September 2008, 00:10:30
Yeah, it is possible to run.
I never did it either, but it is possible.
Hold L+R in battle.

259  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Why is Megaman so popular? Your opinions! on: 10 September 2008, 00:16:23
Yeah, most people I talk to had never even heard of MegaMan until they met.
Really!?
About 75% of the kids in my town know who Megaman is, and most of them aren't even gamers.
260  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Jake's Poetry Corner on: 9 September 2008, 02:38:59
Er...Here's another poem...Please...criticize my crappy writing...

Hollow Man

He is the hollow man

Sitting in the dark

Dead inside

Watching the happy people

Live their happy lives

Shrouded in sunshine and puppies

And all that Pollyanna bull#####

But he is not envious, no

Because he is the hollow man

Never feeling anything

Yet always feeling everything

Talking to himself in the shadows

Seeking his desolate mind for guidance

Separating himself from society

Don't pity him, though

Don't feel sorry for him

For he is not sad

Because he is the hollow man

Destroying himself with each step

Living in comfortably in his lie

Content within the shell he calls "logic"

Though, the home he has built for himself

Is deceptively consoling

He believes it's better to be alone

To have never met anyone

For then he never has to lament at the absence of others

Er...please give an honest (and helpful if my poetry needs improvement, which I know it does) oppinion...

Not a great idea.
Eh? I don't get it...
264  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Jake's Poetry Corner on: 6 September 2008, 06:00:22
So...yeah...this is a poem I wrote a while ago...yeah...

Masochist

All this time I've been lost,
Sweltering within the depths of my sorrow.
Torturing myself every goddamn day
With the ritualistic games played throughout my mind.

I've pushed you away,
Told you to leave me alone,
When there is nothing I'd love more in the world
Than to accept the comfort within your smile.

I want to end all these thoughts,
Stop my continual contemplation.
I can see in your eyes
You feel my plea.

I can't take your assistance so graciously offered.
My foolish pride will not simply allow it.
It masks my emotions with a facade
Colder than the arctic chill.

So I cast you aside
Like disregarded trash.
I tell my heart it's better off this way,
But all I do is hurt myself.

So...how bad did you think it was...?

EDIT: Also, I wasn't sure if the poetry had to rhyme or not, so if I made a mistake in this just let me know (Though I'm certain somebody would've eventually)...

I'm playing through SMT3:Nocturne for the first time. It's okay. The story is really slow, the gameplay seems no different from most other rpg's out there, and I honestly don't get how this game is suppose to be hard. It all seems pretty easy to me. All in all, I'd only reccomend buying this if you can find it cheap. It's definitely not worth the hundreds of dollars people want for it (I think some of the highest prices I've seen for it go into the $500 range). I was lucky when I went to buy it. I found it for $20 new.

279  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Chrono Trigger on the DS? on: 16 August 2008, 04:26:42
Meh...
I'm not worried about the script. The game was already translated fairly well so they'll prolly just change a few words or lines here or there. Otherwise, I have a feeling it's going to stay relatively similar to the original.

I also change my original opinion on purchasing this. Chances are I'll end up getting it now 'cause I don't see too much else with appeal on the winter agenda. But that may always change, of course...

I could care less about the remake of DQ4.
The original didn't really appeal to me that much.
I'm more excited about the remakes of DQ5 and 6.
282  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: That ol' Sprite Thread on: 12 August 2008, 03:01:02
I'm going with Abe on this one Dragster.

Then don't bother spriting. Not to sound mean, if you're not going to patient and work hard then you're not going to get anywhere. Nothing in life is about talent you're born with, it's about talent to create and master for yourself. To be good at anything you have to earn it. Even prodigies have to work their asses into vapour.
Most of what you said I already get. Nothing in life is free, it's all earned. I already know this. It's just when people constantly bash something I worked on and actually tried on it irritates me to the point of quitting. Yes, I'll admit I'm lazy, but when I do something that interests me or I feel is important I pour my entire heart and soul into the project. Despite the appearance of my current avatar and the 16-bit saldite, I actually tried really hard on both of them (I think I clocked around 4 hours for the 16-bit saldite). I want to get into spriting mostly 'cause I figured it'd be good practice for my desired career choice, which would be designing games. Hell, I'm actually working on a game now. I doubt it'll be good, and I already know people will hate it. Even so, I'm making it anyways because I know it'll help me get better. I am incredibly interested in spriting, and the opinions of others aren't going stop me from doing it. When I actually complete something every part of me doubts it and bashes it to bits, but despite my hatred of my own work, I still try.
283  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: That ol' Sprite Thread on: 11 August 2008, 00:37:46
Seriously dude, I don't really care any more.
I've given up on that sprite.
If I go to edit it again, chances are I'll start from scratch.
Otherwise, as of currently, I've given up.
Thanks anyways, though.
284  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 11 August 2008, 00:29:57
So delete the one in which you helped me (thank you, by the way).
I just thought it was ludicrous to have the same conversation in two threads, especially since one of them was in the wrong place anyhow...
285  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: That ol' Sprite Thread on: 11 August 2008, 00:14:06
I'm kinda' lazy...
I'm also not very artistically talented so usually what looks good to me is utter crap to others.
Edit 1: I dunno'...maybe this just isn't for me.
Sorry to waste everyone's time.
286  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: That ol' Sprite Thread on: 11 August 2008, 00:08:20
Is this any better?
Sorry, I'm still not that great at this. I personally think it looks fine.
(I was too lazy to remove the background this time.)
Also, I can't completely edit the pixels 'cause that would completely destroy the sprite.
That reason is also why I mixed the thickness in the first place.
287  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: That ol' Sprite Thread on: 10 August 2008, 23:40:07
Hmm, not bad.
Better than I can do.

Alright, so I was in the wrong topic to be discussing this.
Basically I'm looking for helpful opinions and tips on my spriting.
This is my current completed sprite and also possibly my new avatar.

Also, still don't know why, but the thickness of the hair still doesn't show on this website for some reason. I have no idea as how to fix this.
288  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 10 August 2008, 23:08:44
I've moved the sprite to the sprite thread.
Any further comments should go there.
289  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 10 August 2008, 20:47:06
 ???
Why?
I need a little bit more than that to go off of.
290  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 10 August 2008, 20:31:45
Hmhm...
Well yes...kinda'...
That is if you mean the MM7 sprite...
Otherwise, no...
I did nothing to the original saldite sprite.
I just used that as my base for this one's appearance.
291  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 10 August 2008, 20:18:25
Yesterdays sprite was kind of a test off my skills just to see how I could do before I tried editing any other sprites.
I need to know again,
how exactly does this look?
For some reason I feel as though something is wrong with the sprite...
I dunno'...maybe I'm just being self-conscious 'cause my skills with computers suck.

The anatomy looks good, I like it.

Though the pencil smudging is kinda messy.
That pretty much sums up my opinion.
294  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 10 August 2008, 01:36:05
I think your problem is just a lack of transparent background, something I can't currently help you with. If you provide the raw sprite image, someone can probably make the background transparent for you.
Fixed (finally)

I don't get it...
296  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Avatars! on: 9 August 2008, 21:37:54
I kind of saw a problem like that occurring.
By that I mean the red.
There was a point in the original sprite design for the red, but when I changed it to what it is now the red basically killed it...
Sooo...
Problem fixed!
Is this any better?
297  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Video share topic on: 9 August 2008, 21:11:36

I need an opinion on my new avatar.
Please be nice with your comments as it's my first time at attempting a custom avatar.
I think it goes without saying that I based it off of the NES megaman sprite.
