Hmm... IMO, Eoin Colfer is a decent author. Not outstanding, but decent. The first two Artemis books were great, but I think it went downhill from there. Opal Deception was okay, but I just did not like the rest of the series. Supernaturalists was also not so good -- it was like an abridged version of Shade's Children. So I'm also not so enthusiastic about this idea.

In combat Carth is pretty good. He's mainly a ranged fighter type guy, I just give him blaster pistols and let him shoot holes in dudes while I sword 'em to death. You'll probably use him until you get Zalbar. Then you might switch him back into the party a few times afterwards, but you'll probably never use 'em again after you get more than 1 Jedi. I mean, even when I needed a ranged dude I'd think to maybe use Carth, but then I'd see Canderous and HK-47 lookin' all awesome next to him. Ya gotta go with HK-47. Make sure to have him with you whenever possible and talk to him often. Don't worry about Canderous, you'll have plenty of time to talk to him in the next game.
Awesome, thanks. I wub HK-47. He makes up for all the tl;dr of Bastila's dialogue. And then some.

Naw, Carth's a cool dude. Unless...
You go Dark Side, he eventually just runs away like a little bitch. It's kind of pathetic to watch.
Well, I'm too much of a wuss to be evil in games, so there goes that problem. Although I was more wondering how good he was in combat. I'd have an easier time going dark, mind you, if you were allowed to be subtle charming Lawful Evil rather than raving lunatic Chaotic Evil. "Only Sith deal in absolutes," indeed.

Just started playing Knights of the Old Republic.
Man, you tell people you're playing it as a girl and everyone (read: my brother) freaks out. Bloody romance subplot.
Is there anything wrong with Carth that it sucks to have him in your party?

Finally watched the Star Wars trilogy. (Previously, I'd seen RotJ and a bit of ANH, but not ESB, and not all in a row.)
This makes listening to Death Cab for Cutie's "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" a little mind-bending.
Note to self: If ever get tempted by a Sith Lord to the dark side, do not design fortress to have convenient mile-deep drops for the hero and/or Face Heel Turned student to push me off of. Or at least put a trampoline at the bottom.
Also, start thinking up good Darth title that isn't some synonym of "bad" or "illness".

Kiddo, if you're fixing to be a writer, you have to send your story to the publisher. (Or get an agent that'll do that for you. Either way.) Ain't no one's going to be asking YOU to send your manuscript to THEM. Who the heck are you? In the publisher's eyes, absolutely nothing.
And when you send the story out, the rejection slips will come. Granted, the people that'll review your story will be as subjective as anyone else, but they didn't get their job for no reason. If the rejection slips come with advice, consider it.
Then you keep sending the story, or you edit out the suck and then send it. Crippling depression and realizing you're a hack who can't write for crap is allowed, but then you get up and keep working at it.
Practically any artistic field is about 5% glorious inspiration from the gods, and 95% dogged hard work and thick skin. We live for the 5% because we're idiots. But there you go.
