Ventrillo, but you don't have to hold something to talk, it doesn't sound like #####, and you get video.
I rather prefer push-to-talk. No one really needs to listen to my schizoid mumbling when I'm browsing the intertubes. I know you can mute yourself on Skype so no ambient noise gets through (i.e. "other people talking in the background), but still.

DAISY: sometimes i feel fantastic and i'm being so sincere right now.
DAISY: the lights!
DAISY: you should learn to lower your vocabulary. lemme see.
DAISY: i'm making a good invention.
DAISY: you should learn to lower your expectations of other people.

The "God Bot" is nothing compared to a program that some person (I forget who) showed off at Teisel's place, you download it and it learns from everthing you say to it, and adopts your speech patterns. You can teach it to say lots of things, involving what cake is and lies....
...Right, where is that thing? I want to mess with it. And I'm not trawling through 47 pages of AIM topic.

Word. Making a sprite comic that's a step higher than "looking like copypasta ass" is possible but takes roughly seventeen hours a page (without getting distracted by weird links and IMs and youtube), and all the while you think, "I could have finished this by breakfast if I just drew it. Using the mouse. And my left hand. With the monitor turned off."
Which is a lie, but still.

Starting to make edits for custom RO classes -- a dragoon, right now. Edits are going slowly, despite efforts to keep it simple enough that I can replicate them over dozens of sprites without exploding. Also, run-on sentence. Probably will make arm-armor spikier and more dragonish, when am more awake.

Lazy day for me, got home and just relaxed, watched some TV, played some Guitar Hero, and now I'm planning a trip to the Mandarin with my friend. I don't know if any of you American members know what that is, but it has to be one of the greatest Chinese Buffets ever.
$15.99 for one person, that's bull.
I've been there. The food's alright, but I just don't eat that much in one sitting to justify going to a buffet. Not out of any "wah if I have one more drop of salad dressing I will be fat and have to throw up" crap, but a physical inability to cram more rice and meat down the gullet.

Well, I saw Golden Compass, and I think it was pretty good. Blood and death was cut out, obviously, but nothing that bugged me too much. I can see how working the actual ending into the beginning of the next movie would work.
Also, I saw the Speed Racer trailer. Is it possible to see it without being slack-jawed in horror?

I miss those giant hamster-tunnel-slide playgrounds. You know those kids playpen areas in McDonald's that have a ball pit? That kind of place. In kindergarten we went to a massive version of those (not attached to a McDonald's, mind you) for a field trip, and it was glorious. I can't imagine who funded that trip, but I hope they're still working with schools because they know what kids like. And I wish there were playpens that were teenager or adult sized. I would work there for the rest of my life. I would never leave. Sigh.

Ahh. We did linoleum printing, stencils, and this thing where you scratch a drawing on a piece of fibreglass (?), rub ink into the grooves, dampen a piece of paper with water, and run both of them through a press. The water soaks up the ink but not so much that it gets blotchy. I don't think I've heard of using styrofoam though.

If you don't like it, stop whining and go back to your own Jam. Excuse me? Where did that come from? And when did this become a "lol my jam iz better dan ur jam" contest? Jeez, if wanting coherency in a plot -- even a plot with talking mushrooms -- warrants that, god help everyone if you stub your toe. Don't get your neuticles in a twist.

I'd try haggis. Then again, I'd try all kinds of weird foods.
I'm going to have to give up on blue cheese, though. I've tried preparing it three different ways, and I can't gag it down at all.

Yesterday, I learned three things.
I learned how to make sangria. It was tasty.
I learned that papercuts on your fingers bleed at an astonishing rate.
I learned that if you have a papercut on your finger, and you're slicing lemons for the sangria, for god's sake don't squeeze the lemon juice with your cut hand.
Also, I got a pet christmas cactus. His name is Frank.

Man, if I had a nickel for every Chinese myth I've read lately that involved a poor scholar who failed the imperial exams... I'd be able to... buy an ice cream. Couple of recent sketches: LitanyI wanted to create a sort of priestess character, without all the lame add-ons and flappy cloth bits that anime character designs have. Ended up with a scary sorceress nun. I'm going to have to finish this simply because it freaks me out. DoodlesStarted to design a warlock to go with the priestess, but I couldn't figure out what she should look like, so just doodled. ChainsawRight. More DoodlesA Megamanish thing. And doodles.

Microsoft Paint is all that I have used.
Photoshop is very good for three reasons: First, layers; second, much more than three "undo"'s available; three, perfectly saving a file into GIFs and PNGs without (when it comes to sprites) colour loss. I've never gotten used to spriting with it, however.

That reminds me. What exactly is the collective noun for midgets? Like how the collective nouns for ravens is a murder.
I'm bettin' on "a clown-car of midgets."
