- will primarily follow the games - will feature both adaptations and original stories - first issue focuses on Dr. Wily's betrayal and Rock's transition to Mega Man - robot masters aren't killed off - we'll get to see what happens to robot masters after Mega Man defeats them - Mega Man will have to use strategy to beat each Robot Master - interest in adaptations of the classic series, the Game Boy games, and the two Mega Man & Bass/Rockman & Forte games - no Mega Man Soccer adaptation - could spin-off into other series involving Mega Man - if original characters do happen, they will be supplemental - a Mega Man/Sonic crossover could happen, but not likely http://protodudesrockmancorner.blogspot.com/2010/10/flynn-discusses-archies-mega-man-comic.html

You're all missing my point...
I'm not saying Diggers should find biometals, or the hollow shell of Mega Man himself. In that aspect, there should never be a crossover. What I'm saying is, It would be neat if characters actually acknowledged events that had happened in the past (the official time line). If Zero came up in conversation (Like how we reference warriors of mythology, i.e. Hercules). or someone found a book written by Dr. Cain or Light.
Just little things like that to tie everything together.

Do you think they'll port over Legends 1 and 2 to the 3DS as well?
That would be quite a treat.
Also, I would like to something referenced from either Classic, X, Zero, or ZX.
I always thought it was weird that no one ever mentioned Classic Megaman in the X series. He was a champion of the people, and the time gap is only 100 years or so.
No. Nothing outside of easter eggs like the "Mega Man Tv show" on the TV in 2 or the posters and what not on the wall. If there is ANY direct connection in the actual plot there will be quite a few unhappy people. Just imagine, once Trigger gets back to Earth he has to fight his way deep into the ground to the core of the old master system which is really BIOMETAL ZX AXL OMG!!!! AND HE'S PROTECTED BY CYBER ELFS ROFFLES!!! Yeah. That's the kind of ##### I'M afraid they'll pull. And quite frankly, Zero/ZX was such trash from the plot stand point that trying to actively include it or even REFERENCE it would be the antithesis of the fun and charming world/scenario Legends pionerred (notice how bad Battle Network got when it moved away from the same feel and tried to go all "evil energy" ##### in the last 3 games?).
I stopped playing BN after 2, so I wouldn't know. I've never even tried ZX or Starforce, and have only read about what happened in Zero 3- 4 (played 1 and 2). Also, I'll give you an example of what I'm talking about. In the first Issue of Spiderman 2099 (which takes place 107 years after the "Heroic Age"), the original Spiderman is briefly mentioned within the first few pages as a Vigilante hero of the people, but he doesn't necessarily make an appearance of any sort. I'm not saying you need to have a complete series cross over, but it would be neat to have someone acknowledge events of the past (because, like it or not, there is a timeline, and I don't think Capcom does a very good job of linking each series together). You see some of what I'm talking about between the X series with the mentioning of Dr. Wily and Dr. Light. But Where is the statue of Classic Megaman? There is no talk about the war between robot masters or anything of the like. It's as if no one knew what had happened, and the time it takes to get from one series to another isn't that grand. I would personally like it if something like this happened more often.

I'd say MMU is the best MMPU sequel we're gonna get.
Mainly because of what I mentioned, you now have a larger screen to customize with. MMPU had a very limited small screen vertically.
That's my main beef with handheld Mega Man games anyway, aside from Battle Network and the Gameboy games.
Really, I just wanted Maverick Hunter X4. ._.

Okay, I'll break it down as I see it.
>Axl is in X7, X8, and Command Mission. >Then we have the Zero series. He's NOT in Zero, as we thought. There's no trace of him (at least that I've heard). >But somehow, he's still EXISTANT, because he appears as a main (model) character in ZXA, which branches off of Zero's story.
Where was he in the Zero series timeline? Ask Capcom. They're masters of pulling rabbits out of their hats*.
*also, butts.
That's Model Albert, not Axle.

After replaying with Bass, there are little oversights I've noticed that 10.
The attention to detail isn't as great as it was with Mega Man 9. For instance, there are areas that have more than three enemies on screen at a time (which they really tried to avoid in Mega Man 9). There isn't a "legacy" mode (which was also a nice touch in the previous installment). Bass' doesn't get a cut scene after defeating the first 4 robot masters (not to mention his sprite is an edit of Mega Man's, which makes me think I'm just playing as Rock in a Bass costume).
It just seems like 9 had a lot of charm to it and really tried to capture the feel of the classic games. 10 just kinda feels like they wanted to get something out the door.

If Megaman gets his charged shot back, they would need to change Protoman. Make it so his shield can deflect attacks while standing still. Also take away the double damage.
He would be too broken that way. I say keep his shield out only when jumping, and keep the double damage. BUT... Only have him shoot charged shots that do 3 damage (and only one on screen at a time).

For those of you who don't want charged shot, simply don't charge your buster.
I like the variety of playable characters; makes for great replay value. But the Proto Man, in his currect state, plays way to similar to Mega Man (or how he should/use to, anyway).

Are we talking about what we want for the sequal yet? Cause if so...
Mega Man 11 needs Duo or Roll as DLC.
With Bass, Mega, and Proto selectable from the get-go.
And I would like to see someone other than Wily as the last boss. I wouldn't mind fighting him again, but don't make him the last boss (Mega Man five for Gameboy in mind).
Ten games with the same final villain... It's a little too much.
Also, Would it be crude of me to ask for charge shot and slide back for Mega Man? Why not make them optional like they did for Powered up? And if that's the case, make Protoman play more like he did in Powered Up (but can still copy weapons), but he can only use his shield while jumping (so he's less broken). This is so they play differently.

I....I pronounce it like a fish ;_;
Posted on: 2 March 2010, 19:22:25 HA HA. Hard Mode is amazing. The levels are brutal and the bosses all have new or upgraded attacks.
But... But why? D: His dog is named Treble-- Treble and Bass? It's a reference to music LIKE EVERY OTHER CHARACTER in the series. Who else is happy to see Reggae, by the way?

Blade Man looks like an EXE character though... And not a very good one.
And I believe Sheep man is a direct quote of the book "do androids dream of electric sheep", which was the basis for the movie Blade Runner.
That alone makes sheep man awesome in my book.

I don't think the end of the classic series is as glamourous as some of us may think it is. It took Light to the age of a ripe old man to complete X, so the same could be said for Wily's creation. As for Mega Man, maybe he began to rust or some crap.
