Do you know how many digital watches you can buy with 1500 bucks? About 1500. Just saying. But I'd not wear those as they look as crap as they are. Expensive Rolex's might not be a good investment but everyone with that kind of cashflow buys something frivolous for themselves. His stuff is just gonna get stolen more now.
Probably... I mean, if he rewards people for giving him back his things it's just asking for people to rob him for reward money later.
That's a horrible view on anything.

It's not much robots that "think" that are a problem. It's a lot of robots thinking, or one machine/system that has too much authority going bonkers.
The usual fiction of machines taking over starts with the latter (Terminator's Skynet, I, Robot's Vicky), a system that's in place to maintain order but has too much AI. Systems like that, like missle defence systems (Skynet) should never be able to become self aware, because that leads to self preservation, and eventual war.
Then there's fiction stuff like in The Matrix, where the machines band together. If AI were to get to a level that is close to this kind of thing, this is the more likely scenario; We ##### with the artificials too much, and they ##### off making their own country but it doesn't work out and they turn on us 'cause we're big assholes to them.
It'd probably never start with unwarranted malicious intent by the artificial life. If something like that happens, it'll be our fault.

Zombie Cap was a gift. I don't like/read the zombie series, but I think it's cool just because Cap is my hero.
And, hellz yeah. Mini mates are awesome. Suck it.
I won't get over the fact that you LIKE the Kubrick #####, but I understand about Cap as he is the #####. I don't read Marvel Zombies either (cos it's ghey) but he's not even a Captain in that!

K #####. I am so tired right now, but this morning was a big mind##### and because of weather I almost got a ZERO on this whole project. If you don't get it in before the prof takes them all (nine o' clock) you get a zero. Animation students don't have the luxury of lates in any class. Anyway I almost didn't make it and was stuck in traffic for like an hour and a half. There's only three Animation Design IV assigments, and this was the biggest one by far.
Anyway I have the clean pan and might try scanning it soon. I got the project photocopied and in on time, but I didn't get everything done unfortunately and some was crap. I like my pan enough though. Scanning it will be a bitch and a half but photos just look bleh. The pan we did is a simple A to do D pan, but even just a normal sheet of animation paper is too big to scan on my scanner, let alone pan paper.

That's like me and exclamation points, generally. Not so much for sarcasm as I don't really bother too much with making that clear. I'm quite rarely seriously accusing/yelling at/etc. someone if I'm rocking exclamation points.

Passable is a sad state of acceptability. Bootleg "computer program of dubious legality"s and roms play the games better than a product from an official branch of Capcom itself. Am I the only one who is utterly offended and enraged by this fact?
Nope. MMX is actually fun when it's not played on MMXC, which is essentially a headache on a disc.

In Command Mission he equips different sabers, where as X equips different attachments to his regular buster. So naturally, Zero just gets multiple sabers.

There's an image tag that is apparently not working for some reason. We had an argument with a guy in my class whether or not Seinfeld is funny. Basically 7 people against 1, because the show is incredible. This guy Dan is about as big a fan of it as I am, which is pretty big, and he basically ended it by telling the guy (who is also named Dan) "No you're right Dan, 50 million people are wrong."
That's kind of a poor closing statement. I mean, American Idol has staggeringly high ratings for how awful it is.
Good point but at least Seinfeld is worldwide accepted as hilarrr.

It fit the locale, time, and story though. I like all the GTAs but SA was the first that felt somewhat realistic to me. I didn't find it overdone at all. There was a lot in the game because there was a lot in real life. Especially in the 90's.

They were. That is basically because arcs like that bend like that are hard to put into perspective, and I'm using one-point perspective.
I chose one-point for the simple reason that I could manage working on the pan in a smaller space in 1-point. If I were to use two-point perspective it might look a bit better and some rounded buildings would have been easier to pull off but my vanishing points would have to be about ten inches off the page on each side and I don't have any ruler long enough get across to the other side of the page. One-point was a hell of a lot more manageable in that way and easier to transport (not that I've moved it out of the house).
The city does look underground but it is actually just enclosed within walls that have huge windows all over. I can't really translate how that would look and what parts are windows and which aren't without colour and lighting, but also you'd need a closer look anyway.
This is the panning background for my flying vehicle to fly through, by the way. I don't think I'll be doing the rough animation keys for the flying sequence as it's worth the least on the project though.
And if you're looking for the horizon line anyone, it's the only orange line. You also don't see any ground in this.

It got a lot of heat for "sex scenes" in which there's no any sex that's actually show, just suggestive. I think it's something like how in FF7 you can go on the date, but more grown up. Kind of like how San Andreas got ##### for Hot Coffee but this is probably even less of a "big deal". Posted on: 22 February 2008, 21:15:30
. Hokay. I just finished this naught minutes ago. It's the rough of my pan background that's due thursday. When/If I get the clean version done I'll see what I can do about scanning it, but it will be on seperate levels and that will be quite annoying. It all might look like a mess to you though, but if you get it that's good. On the paper with the green thumbnails, the bottom one is the thumb I got approved - The thumb for that pan. The mug fits an entire kettle of tea and is like by best friend these days. I've had 4 hours of actual sleep since waking up Saturday morning. Anyway I have a lot more to do other than clean that thing up but I'll upload more stuff as I go. Lata potata!

I had Global News from British Columbia on by accident (my mom was time shifting to watch today's Coronation Street) and they had a story about this new version of the PS2 game "Bully" and how people (parents) in BC are trying to get it banned or some crap because they think it will make kids be more like bullies.
Except that they are clearly idiots.
The game is rated T, so the kids can't get it unless their parents plain buy it FOR them. The T rating is for TEENS. Anyone older than 13 with half a brain knows better than to emulate a video game in their real life. If someone goes off, it's not the game that made them bat##### crazy, it was just a trigger or an excuse. Sometimes it's a way. But a trigger, excuse, and way can come from anything. Would they ban a book of the same material? No. It's like thinking that your kid listening to Eminem is going to make him kill that Kim bitch.
What do you guys think? I think it falls on the parents to keep the game out of the hands of their little kids, it's not Rockstar Games' responsibility after they clearly state that the game isn't intended for children. It's the same thing they do everytime a GTA comes out, but there's new heat this time because you're playing as a kid who becomes a kingpin (in kid terms, I guess).
I think it's important that kids don't play games like San Andreas, sure, but it's not going to make them criminals if they do. Frankly, as #####ing brilliant as they can be, kids are still dumbasses and are ignorant and wouldn't understand what's really going on. Even if they did, human development doesn't work on "this one thing made you act/think this way" and it would have to be a combination of things to make a child go crooked (like you #####ing up as a parent).
I think today's parents are #####ing lazy as hell and want to blame anyone but themselves when something goes wrong, but they don't want to make the effort to actually prevent things from going wrong. It's pretty interesting that they'd rather protest the game to the end that it isn't made, instead of just saying "No you can't have that game." Or maybe parents are so detached from their kids these days that they don't want to deny them anything. Only stupid people are breeding.
I'mma try it for Wii when I can. Came out today.

You are a man child. Get in-line skates, or a skateboard, or something made for humans. Not only would you look like a total asshole wheeling around in those, but it's incredibly annoying to work in a store like a grocery store and have fools wheeling around.
If it hasn't happened already, a kid is going to wheel in a grocery store over a freshly mopped area or something and fall and get injured and sue. And the fallout isn't going to be on them it's going to be me and you because we actually use money. There's a reason you aren't allowed to roller blade in shopping malls, much to my own dismay.
And I heard a long time ago that they started making adult sized wheelies and I was upset (<--).
