Trains are the #####, what's your problem? Don't get mad at trains because they're cooler than you!

I liked Wind Waker, but I never have felt compelled to play Phantom Hourglass.

Same here.
I feel the same about this one.

Not the same here.

It's not the graphics; I like those... it's just something about portable Zelda games has always irked me.

Really not the same here. I love portable Zelda games, but Minish Cap really turned me off for a while so I never bothered with Phantom Hourglass. Link's Awakening is one of my absolutamenté favourites though, so yeah that's kinda odd.

Especially since at first glance, LA and MC have a kind of similar feel, with the whole "not so much Hyrule" kind of deal. But then, Majora's Mask had that and it's the 2nd worst Zelda game I've ever played.

But I own and did finish Minish Cap anyway. I don't like it, but it's not that bad.
3202  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 27 March 2009, 01:24:19
I'll probably post more of these later, I've found a couple vids people took at the show last night that capture KIND OF and IDEA of what it was like.

This one is pretty close to where I was and this is also basically how I saw things, except that I'm short and most electro fans are tall-ish Eastern European guys so I had to jump higher than them to see stuff, but I did alright. When the camera pans left I'm pretty sure I was in the show somewhere (I'm looking to see if we got in any videos for when we put photos up. When some people went to see Justice a couple years ago they found themselves in a video, which is wicked.) but I can't go frame by frame to find us and youtube doen't scroll video precisely so I only see blurs. I have a bunch of clips left to check out though.

This one is off near the bar, so the outskirts, but has good hype and I just want to show the scope of this joint. The whole mother#####er was a mosh pit. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

The more of you in one place, the easier it will be for me to pick you all off.

Easier for you to TRY.
3203  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 27 March 2009, 01:13:58
Well, you don't even need to listen to the crap music.

Look at how both U2 and Coldplay have a frontman who is completely loathsome and both groups dress like morons and think they're better than everyone and don't even try to hide it.

And THEN all their music is the same blah di blah trash.
3204  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 27 March 2009, 01:06:42
Everyone I talk to about it doesn't like it, they say it doesn't compare to The Animated Series, and they don't like the animation. I thought that was especially weird, because the animation is one thing I really like about it. I don't like the drawing style so much—mainly the eyes—but that's okay. I also like the voice acting for the most part. There were stupid parts where I was laughing my ass off, but overall I like it.

They are idiots. I love The Animated Series to death, but it's actually VERY wrong. This one is a lot closer while still being updated. And the animation is great in this new show. The actual ANIMATION I mean, not the design style. But I also really dig the design style, which is done by Sean/Shawn Galloway ("Cheeks") who did the designs of Hellboy Animated and used to do Titans Go! (the comic based on the Teen Titans cartoon) covers for a while.

UMM. WAT?

Teen Titans was canceled, and last I remembered season 5 was completed. They better not be bringing it back..

This is true, however they are doing a rerun of it on Cartoon Network this year and, but that info about a hiatus I got on Spectacular Spider-Man has now been completely without-a-trace removed from where I first read it. :/

But I think it would be a perfect for Carnage to off her, he's the perfect one to do it, and I've had enough of Goblin for now.

No. How would that be perfect at all? Carnage wouldn't give a ##### about Gwen, and it just wouldn't make sense. Venom I could MAYBE see but even then I think that would be bad. It's pretty much got to be GG, I think. I can't imagine anyone else doing it and having it be decent.

Lost tonight... was... well, I like Sayid, so it was an interesting episode, but it felt off. Basically after it ended all I cared about was the ending. Still a solid episode.

SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE HARDBALL, TOO, HAHA:
I don't know what the rules are about showing kids dying on-screen, but I'm pretty sure there are a lot of them. Even in Hardball they couldn't actually show Baby-G get shot... so I was really surprised that this just happened not only on TV, but NETWORK TV. Not that it bothers me at all, it's just I didn't think they could do that.

Regardless, we all know Ben has to live so, yeah, I guess they got away with it because he's not really dead.
Uuuuuuuuhhhhhhmmmm well I read this before watching the episode but it doesn't matter. Anyway I think they did that in Hardball for effect, not because they couldn't, but because you have the whole scene go on and you don't see him until it pans over there. If they just showed it happen it would be a completely different scene, so I think it was a directorial decision. I've seen lots of other movies or TV or TV-movies where kids get shot.

It'll explode someone's brain on day one and there will be a recall. This won't be the first or last product that leads the Lucas bankruptcy of 2019, though.

The devices used to scan are, as I understand the technology, not invasive and are passive.
No chance of that happening; it does require a decent amount of self control, though.

I wasn't serious...

But The Force is the most invasive thing there is, since it  is "an energy field created by all living things, that surrounds and penetrates living beings and binds the galaxy together".
3206  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 26 March 2009, 22:16:39
Yeah Scorpion and Hobgoblin are set for season 3, and Carnage references at least.

But the next season is temporary hiatus because of Teen Titans season 5 or something.

The Prodigy. Last night. In T-dot.

OFF THE #####ING CHAIN.

Probably the best show I've ever seen. It's indescribable. Stuff from the newest album, the mainstays that are at every show, stuff NEWER than the album that just came out, stuff from back in '91. Just #####ing amazing.

And now I've found most of the show on Youtube, so I'm off, haha.

I'm a bit late, but U2 is the blandest, most uninspiring band I've ever known.

Thank you.

And am I the only one who's noticed that Coldplay is just the 21st Century version of U2?

Yes it is.

Yesterday four friends and I drove in a tiny Toyota Yaris (crammed) to Toronto (~5 hours), stayed in a hostel and saw The Prodigy live at Kool Haus.

It was one of the best things I've ever done and today has also been incroyable.

Decide if you want to call it "Rockman" or "Megaman" and "Famicom" or "NES".

How about Rogaman 7 on the FaNEScom?

I could care less, it's the same game, just from a different country. The jumping between Famicom and NES was accidental.

Couldn't care less. You couldn't care less.

What kind of point is "I care a little bit at least" ?

3230  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Upcoming Games Topic on: 24 March 2009, 22:01:17
1. Super Mario Galaxy
2. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
3. Legend of Ze-- Oh wait, that's really a GameCube game ported to the Wii!
4. Resident Evil 4 Wii Edi-- Whoops, that's also a port to the Wii!
5. ... Mega Man 9?
6. ...
7. #####

Brawl barely classifies as good, dude.

But "de Blob" is actually really awesome and I can't wait to get back to it.

If I had to say what Wii games I know are great;

1) Super Mario Galaxy. Yeah.
2) Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It's pretty different from GC in my opnion, and the Wii controls for it are a HNL (hole nutha level) so it's it's own thing and I loved it all.
3) de Blob. Seems weird, yes, and I'd never have tried it if it wasn't given to me but it is really #####ing fun.
4) Spider-Man Web Of Shadows. I love it, gotta finish it sometime. Might buy it, even.
5) Marvel Ultimate Alliance. With the right friends, hella addictive even it gets frustrating at parts and it's real fun. Can't wait to try the sequel.
6) MM9. That counts I think.

And then I guess Brawl and that's it, but I've really only played a few Wii games other than those at any length and they are Super Paper Mario, GH3, and RE4 so ech. I've tried a couple others I think, but I can't remember what.
3231  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Image thread! (try to avoid memes) on: 24 March 2009, 21:53:24

It is, actually.

Don't say that. I don't want to start watching again, haha.

So don't.

3234  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 24 March 2009, 21:45:04
Yeah because that's what real hip hop is. ::)
YOU SOUND LIKE ONE OF THEM, STEVE!

The Four Elements (as created in the early 70's); Rhythm and poetry (MCing), DJing, breakdancing, and graffiti.

They've evolved over time. But whatever. Hip Hop isn't all the ##### that's on the radio today, it actually meant something and can still. You just gotta wade through a lot of Soulja Boy and 50 Cent types who have no talent OR anything to say.

Hip Hop is/was a cultural movement and it's a lot more complicated than all that. Don't be stupid.
3235  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 24 March 2009, 21:39:40
Lunche is pretty much completely right. I have a difference in opinion of liking The Black Freighter and that's about it. I really didn't dig how much Rorschach cried. Maybe there are tears in the book, I can't remember it right now, but I don't remember that being so bitchly.

Anyway yeah, like I said I felt they dropped a lot of the characters' backgrounds and how they all relate which was one of the major damn points of the whole thing. And the book serves up another point; Superheroes don't work in the real world. But the movie somehow reinforces that they do.

If it's based around one type of music it's auto-fail and shouldn't even be called that.

That's pretentious. Like writers.
Like writers who try to explain how all hip hop is garbage when I'm at a nerd party already feeling like breaking out (true story).

No strong opinion one way or another on '80s pop in general. Some of it is absolutely brilliant (U2), some of it is absolute ##### (punk).

Wait. You're saying that U2, freaking U2 is brilliant, and that punk, freaking punk is bad?!

Abe may say I have no place saying this, but Fatso, you, YES YOU, have not taste!

I didn't even notice he said that.

I loathe U2.
More for them as people than their music.

I wish I had a better grasp on the world of music and its history. I have a hard time identifying genres sometimes, though I obviously know the vague classifications like rock, rap, country, etc. I just don't know all the sub-genres.

Well... Rap IS a sub-genre...

I find it's kind up it's own ass about how "good" it is.

Did Tracy wink?
Is she gonna pull a T-1000?

No, she closed her eye and shed a tear. It was probably a blink like people do when they have tears, but half her face was gone.

Also, I thought that Peter would have just flown up to the top floor or something, then gone outside.

It looked like the elevator shaft just went right outside.

The only actual change to the hair shaving does other than making it short (obviously) is making it sharp.

Which is annoying if your hair naturally curls because the combo of sharp and curly hair makes it real easy for hair to cut it's way back under your skin; Ingrown hairs. It's the reason I only use 1 blade when I shave (when using 3 or 4 the shave is way too close to avoid ingrown hairs).

Shaving only in one direction can also condition the hair to grow a certain way (changing the "grain"), which is minor but it helps a lot to keep ingrown hairs away.

I've got weird skin, apparently.

I've got places where the skin was at one point completely rubbed off where hair grows through the scar tissue.

Yeah I have burn scars on my arms and hair grows through, which is interesting because I'd heard hair doesn't grow in scar tissue. These were real down to the white meat burns too, not like "ouchie I burnded myself ooh oh".

You all sound really stupid right now.

But so will I, because Death From Above 1979 were wicked (despite the name, Death From Above played from 2001-2006) and there was an awesome local punk band called Radiodazed here for like the last 13 years so don't say punk was only good in the 70's-80's. That's just a dumb blanket, like "all hip hop is about sex, gangsters, and killing" or "all reggae is about getting high". It's not true and it's ignorant. There's no such thing as "all blah blah is bluh blah". Only Sith deal in absolutes, jerks.
