I assumed they made the Smash 4 ones, so I'm assuming they're making the Smash 5 ones. I actually wish they were making bluetooth ones more akin to the pro controller. I don't really see the reasoning why they're making you use an adapter other than "oh geez I can use it with my old GC too". Presumably most people who kept their Gamecube (and have it hooked up) kept the controllers. Even if people try to complain about input lag on a wireless GC controller, they could just stop that plugging it back in.

The 3rd party GC controller I have is really great, but I've tried some bad ones too. For the most part I still use a wavebird to play Smash since I can just plug that into the adapter and still sit wherever I please. I missed out on the official adapter so I got the Mayflash one.

And yes, the DS4 Touchpad is crap. For me its a glorified and oversized Select button. I don't think I've ever used it for touch or swipe purposes ever unless it was forced.

Totally.

Happy early birthday! Mine was on Friday, so we're August brothers.
303  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Super Smash Bros Ultimate on: 13 August 2018, 13:23:59
Since Chrom is an Echo fighter of Roy, but has one of Ike's moves (his Up B, Aether), its very possible for Dixie to be an Echo fighter who is still technically unique from Diddy or DK because she borrows certain things instead of one full moveset.

Then I think I'm missing what an "echo" actually is vs. a unique character. Personally I don't really care about the stipulation in the first place but if you can have an "echo fighter" that actually have different moves then I REALLY don't see the point of marking them as such.

Is the only reason we have this category of fighters so that we can clean up the character selection screen a bit? Because I'm just gonna switch it to the mode where everyone has their own box anyway.

This is glory of Nu Smash.

All life begins and ends with Nu Smash.
305  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Dragonball FighterZ on: 10 August 2018, 19:28:16
I mostly agree but I don't like to compare old controllers to new ones too much, that's not really fair. My comment was more about the comfort of the controller and it's use in games designed for it. The SNES controller learned everything from the NES, of course it's far superior. In the case of the Gamecube, I can't give it too much ##### for not having 4 shoulder buttons since that hadn't become standard yet as the Duke and Controller S didn't have them either. That was something Sony paved the way for, thankfully.

Gotta disagree on the D-pad placement. Over 85% of games today are going use the analog more than the d-pad, so I prefer that that placement (much like Xbox and Switch). The reverse is why a lot of people don't like the Dual Shock. Personally I never loved it, only tolerated it, until the DS4. BUT the GC d-pad is terrible and small, yes. I would much prefer something more similar to the SNES one.

I have one of the Hori controllers that's basically a revision of the GC, the Luigi one that's actually molded to the right shape. Having the 4 shoulder buttons are great and the bottom two don't have that huge travel distance that was never really used. But the face buttons aren't altered, it would be nice to have a GC controller's comfort with updated revisions, especially to use on my PC.

I've never used the Xbone controller but it looks great and I love how many design options there are.

If you LIKE Captain N, then yea sure. Me, I like Mega Man II.

But yeah, I agree K. Rool first. I'd just prefer Dixie over Funky at this point--and I didn't think there could be anyone cooler than Funky Kong when I was a kid.
307  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Mega Man 11 on: 10 August 2018, 19:00:36
I'll play it once. I can resist playing it to death pretty easily but I'll be pissed if I buy the game and the gameplay is very unsatisfying (like an MN9 situation or something). I'm not really a collector, so I don't already know 100% that I'm getting the game.
308  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Mega Man 11 on: 10 August 2018, 14:28:13
Perhaps if there's an XBox demo there will be at least a PC one.

It's assuredly a Switch purchase for me, but I'm not using the demo to test the game on specific hardware, I just want to get a feel for if the actual game is a good time or not.
309  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Super Smash Bros Ultimate on: 10 August 2018, 14:25:39
I like to play as green Mega Man and pretend it's Quint.

Literally no one I've played with has ever known what I'm talking about when I say that.

Dong Freeze

NO THANK YOU.

All kidding aside, it's a crime that Dixie Kong isn't a fighter yet. Her helicopter hair alone fits in well to the Smash gameplay (a powered down but faster version of Donkey Kong's aerial spin?) and the more female characters the better. I'd want her to be a full character/semi-clone, since an echo of Diddy wouldn't work 100%. She can whip her hair back and forth (whip her hair back and forth) for most of her moves: Her grab looking very similar to how she picks up barrels, you just could also maybe control the hair like Simon Belmont's whip/Sheik's chain. There's a lot there to work with to make a dynamic fighter with Dixie.

Plus... She starred in at least 3 of the 5 mainline DKC games and was the TITLE protagonist of DKC3. She should have more clout than Funky at this point even if they dissed her and dismissed her in DKC Returns.
310  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Dragonball FighterZ on: 10 August 2018, 14:03:00
I loved the Dreamcast controller, in my opinion it's one of the best in terms of ergonomics. Later surpassed by the Gamecube.

I can see why comparisons are drawn but the Duke was just a mess. From my standpoint, it looks like they just wanted to make something that looked unique at the time (they succeeded) because they had this all new brand to push, but it didn't really make sense over all. It was a melon that required too much "reach". The white and black buttons really didn't work out at all.

But my hands are medium, so I find I'm fine with smaller controllers and ones more in the middle range of size like the 360 controller or the DS4.
311  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 10 August 2018, 13:56:46
I'm Canadian but I've never watched Letterkenny, what accents do they have? I'm assuming it's east coast (sounds kind of Fargo-ish) or French if they're that thick you'd notice.

I love The Good Place. I watched the whole first season on Netflix on my own, and then again with my girlfriend. We couldn't wait for Netflix to catch up so we downloaded season 2.

I've been watching the old NBC sitcom Hang Time on youtube because I'm so starved waiting for the NBA season to start again.
312  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Super Smash Bros Ultimate on: 8 August 2018, 18:48:25
For me, Prime wasn't BAD it just wasn't Metroid. It could have been called anything, there wasn't a Metroid feel to it. It's influence on the rest of the series is what leaves distaste, as now the Metroid and Prime games are inextricable from each other.

Anyway I'm definitely having all the characters on screen at once instead of using that echo fighter switching thing. I don't really care about what makes a character a "real" character or an echo, to me their all just their characters either way, so I like the idea of seeing all my options.

Now all they need to do is announce a Story Mode or Adventure type mode and I'd probably never play an older Smash game again.

I'm really hoping for the same.

Possible exception of Splatoon and ARMS which I haven't played yet.

Splatoon is mint. The fanbase has pretty much gotten everything they've asked for. The only stuff missing is probably a few weird Nintendo redundancies like the voice chat fiasco and not being able to play as a team with your friends outside of ranked mode. Those really aren't big deals to the general fanbase.

Honestly, after both Ridley and K. Rool I really can't believe they didn't add Waluigi.

I'm still so surprised anyone actually likes Waluigi that I haven't begun to understand people wanting him in the game. Or maybe it's just a meme. But I don't see the appeal at all.

They definitely justified calling it "Ultimate"

Looks to be the best Smash yet. I'm very pleased we were talking about King K. Rool earlier in this thread.

It's a duke controller so no matter what the answer is "too much".
317  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 7 August 2018, 16:38:45
To be fair with that black armor he does look like a knockoff of Zero, much in the same way dollar stores will have Chinese action figures of Special Man and RobertCop. So "Zello" makes some sense.
318  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 3 August 2018, 19:32:01
Input drops are part of the base game sometimes, for example there is one frame during the wall kick animation that will eat shot inputs, and X3 will drop any shot or jump input the frame after releasing a d-pad direction. Most likely more noticeable due to additional input delay from the collection (which is significant for the SNES games) making you more likely to hit those scenarios.

Yeah, for sure.

For this specific case, I saw a chart that showed the SNES cart of X1 having roughly 70ms input lag whereas the collection jumps drastically to ~120ms on Switch. There's a lot of tests done on it. I'll still be getting the Switch version but it's at least a little disappointing.

The PS4 version does not seem to have anything near this level of slowdown (outside of slowdowns that were just in the original game).
319  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Mega Man 11 on: 2 August 2018, 14:55:54
Personally, I can't stand when they give him an  "actual name". Whether it's games or comics, when they call him "Rock" or "Mega" it sounds so silly to me. Which is saying something, since this is a series about a weaponized boy robot.

321  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Mega Man 11 on: 2 August 2018, 14:46:08
I cringe as much as you all when watching this guy play Mega Man, but let's remember he's clearly trying to demo the game mechanics to the uninitiated more than anything else. That includes messing up so the audience understands the game better. It's also not fun for the people who haven't already decided to buy this game (unlike us) to see someone breeze through it.

Not to mention that watching someone play and actually playing are so, so,  different. Just watch a Let's Play; Even though the player might actually be good, you're going to notice more than them because you aren't concentrating the same way. It's a pretty common thing, and as Nova said I'm definitely #####tier with a group of people watching me.

But yeah, long winded take aside this balloon mode thing looks way more fun that I expected.
322  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 2 August 2018, 14:37:25
Once I get Metal Generator, I'm either taking a book or some tape and leaving my switch on (and plugged in of course) so I can rack up metals while I'm either at work or somewhere.  That's how I got all my metals on the PS2.

Out of the loop question: Why do you need a book or tape to do that?

I'm fine with leaving X6 as it is. It's a tableau of how hard a developer can fail at something they'd previously been known for being good at. One could argue it's no longer a game meant to be played for fun, but to study as some kind of a historical piece.

As an installation, Megaman X6 is something to behold. It's time as the pinnacle of post-modernist game design was short, however, due to it being overshadowed by Megaman X7... Which some critics believe was a hollow attempt to cash-in on the "what is game design" trend rather than an actual attempt at artistic expression.
323  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Mega Man 11 on: 27 July 2018, 14:33:55
WHAT is with the aspect ratio of this video? I guess they formatted it for instagram... But now you can't really see a whole screen at once  ::)

Anyway I definitely see Rez's point about sizing when it comes to RM's like Blast Man. It is a bit odd because of his proportions. For Torch Man however I don't really care, he's just taller. Maybe it's something about his specific design, but they're all robots anyway so I don't really mind if their sizing isn't 100% uniform.

#####ing epilepsy protection

I don't know, I don't really think that's something to complain about. It's pretty important. Working in animation we have to keep that stuff in mind, so we deal with the Harding test a lot. You'd be surprised how many people are affected.
325  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 25 July 2018, 19:17:16
So it looks like the Japanese Switch versions ALSO have multi language modes on them, including English.  So I ordered both Collections from Play Asia.  Now I have English versions of all 8 games ON CARTRIDGE, and get 100x better cover art.  Also, the Japanese versions actually have all the Japanese openings/endings that were removed from the US versions Japan versions.  So IDEA will still be on X6 and what not.

That's awesome, does that include english dubbed cut scenes too? Not that I mind subtitles.
326  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 24 July 2018, 19:45:35
Yeah I think typically Skullcandy is considered pretty cheapo. I wish I could help ya but I really hate on-ear headphones, they're just too uncomfortable for me.

I will mention that my girlfriend has those triangular DNA ones made by Monster, and I thought the sound quality was pretty decent. Monster made the first generation of Beats by Dre before selling it to Apple, so if you've experienced those it's similar. They aren't gonna be top notch and a quick look at a headphone subreddit shows me that headphone aficionados think they're bad/overpriced (at the time), but once you get into audiophile territory it's another ballgame (especially for price). They do apparently think the Beats Solo 2 are decent sound for the price range. The DNA ones can fold up too so they're decent for travel. I would try them out if you see them in a store, they're not bad. I'd totally get ones at that quality if I saw a good price... and if  on-ear didn't hurt me after a while.

Another thing, you mentioned Sennheiser before. I find my over-ear Sennheiser's really let in a lot outside sound, but they're kind of a cheap model. I've only heard great things about the better models but I imagine their on-ear ones have the same issue. Either way, this article has a Sennheiser pair as well as the DNA ones and the Sony MDR-XB400, which are very popular--but it also mentions the bass as a selling point pretty often. I think that's really just used more as a buzzword nowadays, and what they mean by good bass is good LEVELS. For me a good pair of headphones or speakers lets you feel the air between instruments, not just bass, but often it's easier to measure that by how well bass is translated.
327  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 24 July 2018, 19:22:24
I'm definitely getting it on Switch. The prospect of all those classics on-the-go is the main seller for me.

OK so it's obviously like an Iris bromide  ::)

I'll probably skip X1 when I get the collection. Between my real cart and the SNES Classic, I've played it so many times recently that I need a refresher on the rest of the series. Probably go straight to X4.

330  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 24 July 2018, 16:18:43
That album is fantastic.

Is there a significant trade-off in sound quality with Bluetooth? I mean... I can see that since it's completely digital vs. 3.5mm but I have BT earbuds for the gym and they have pretty impressive sound quality (especially since they weren't expensive). I notice they're not as good as like my over-ear headphones (USB and 3.5mm) but I chalked that up more to them being earbuds than anything else. I've been thinking about BT over-ear headphones so that's very interesting.
331  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 23 July 2018, 17:07:27
It's cool that you can exploit the game with save scumming to get good crap without consequences.

Is it?

Starting with Primrose in the demo may have put clouds over my view of the game. It was indeed dark, but not in any way that I found interesting.

I started with the other guy in the demo, seems like you and I still had a similar experience.
332  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 23 July 2018, 04:08:12
I hated the demo but others I know who felt the same are liking the full game. But I found the demo poorly constructed, in that it repeated the same exposition 3 times before I got to play anything and then the gameplay was boring.

Bravely Default I really liked, except a certain plot point that becomes a huge grind. I’m playing Bravely Second now and it’s too much of the same. Same locations, everything. There’s even STILL a battle being fought at the same location on the map? Same thing where characters talk waaay too often and for too long, but then once you’re in battle that’s boring too? The gameplay being the same as BD makes sense but man... it’s. just. so.  boring. I just brave everything and annihilate, no challenge at all. I want to get through it quickly, but that’s what made me switch to hard mode in BD.

I fear that I’m just bored of jrpgs lately, and Octopath will be the same balance of repetitive gameplay and repetitive cutscenes.
333  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Mega Man 11 on: 20 July 2018, 19:09:24
I'd care about it if they were established bosses from the past. Changing their size would change the gameplay. I don't really care what sizes the NEW bosses are. Looks like they just went back to Mega Man being kid-sized.

Not to mention that with X's very odd size, the boss rooms look cramped as hell.
337  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: The Potential of Mega Man X9 on: 18 July 2018, 19:59:58
The way Alia was implemented was fine after X5.  She can provide tips and hits for those unfamiliar with the X series, but as long as it's optional.

I don't think weapons should be mixed as each weapon has a normal and charged variant.

My offhand thought was that strong level design wouldn't even require the option of her input, in the same way that 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. is designed such that it doesn't need someone interrupting you to tell you you can jump on goombas. That being said I feel that you've probably played X8 more than I have and maybe you have an example or two where she was better for the overall game by being in there.

In the worst case I'd accept the option to just turn her off, but my opinion is that in the best case, with the best design, maybe she wouldn't be needed in the first place.

Exactly. This is the principal methodology if X1's opening stage (perhaps best pointed out in sequelitis).

And what if there just weren't charged variants? What if charging was the simply the mechanic by which you combine weapons?

That is actually the way the charge mechanic works in Mighty Gunvolt Burst. The problem for that game is, it's not exactly useful. But that's due to that game's specific design, so it could easily be done a lot better.

Honestly I don't know how well any of that would work in tandem with Zero's gameplay anyway. I do agree that I want more incentive to test and use weapon energy during the stages though.

I don't think the Mighty Gunvolt games are all THAT good compared to what other people say, but I keep coming back to MGB;

If you're going for "Burst" combos (defeating enemies in close quarters) then weapon customization no only works, but adds an extra level of depth. I think the weapon mixing thing could work really well for Zero too.

But either way, definite YES to bringing back SOMETHING similar to the X-Hunters. That was my favourite part of X2.

Hell yeah, mine too. The whole storyline of getting Zero's parts back to resurrect him, after the shock of losing him in the first game... As a young lad I thought that was real damn smart story progression from game to game.

Looks like when he killed the Sniper Armor just now the whole thing just blew up, so I guess the ride armor idea is out of the question.

I still don't like MM's run animation at all in this, but at least the game looks fast and tight.

341  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 17 July 2018, 19:37:08
I'm not convinced a larger, 32 bit Chill Penguin would be inherently better on account of how it will redesign the boss.

So interestingly, while I was looking for Chill Penguin-X's size relationship in X1 for my last post, I saw this image where someone made their own updated version of Chill Penguin based on his more modern MHX art direction. Now, I'm not sure but I don't think this is exactly 32-bit but regardless I actually think that looks pretty damn good as an "upgrade" without changing the character's overall tone. Having said that I absolutely would have the same worries as you as far as the gameplay is concerned.

And I could go either way on which version of X they should pick, but to me it would have to be one size. Seems like an inherent problem with allowing them to mix, but it's a problem I'd rather just accept than not be able to mix bosses from different games which seems like the whole point of this.

I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like it's arbitrary and I could make an argument for either, and I'd rather take the side where I have one less thing to complain about. My first priority is that it's fun to play.

You are not wrong. I really wish MM's size was standardized better, and specifically I think he shouldn't be so much bigger than the early bosses (X1-3). It makes them so much less threatening for one, but more importantly it ruins their design. And I do think it's do-able...

We sort of have to do this thing in animation, with character lineups. To an extent, I did this constantly when making my own sprite art in the way back. I could make a quick image on how to do it, but basically you just have to take X from each game and get them to be the same height (or very close). After that all you need to do is keep the bosses (and other characters) relative to their respective game's X, and that should synchronize just fine. It's something that takes long but isn't at all difficult, so if I'm being completely honest that kind of lazy over sight is red flag for me.

A power-crafting mechanic would certainly be interesting. I really like that idea.

Especially if you have side/optional bosses that aren't weak to the main 8 weapons. You can have something like the X-Hunters or Four Guardians as a side-story and they're each weak to some sort of alchemical result of two of the main Mavericks' weapons. Maybe it's the only way to get a really good set of armor or a weapon.

It also opens up new possibilities for unique level design, an even more complex way to change the levels than just "hit flammable tank with flame".

To an extent, Mighty Gunvolt Burst's gun mechanics do this well.

You learn not to after endless disappointment.

Xero never did  :D

I still don't like the mixing of 32 and 16-bit sprites.

Also I just noticed X is way taller compared to Chill Penguin than he is in X1. Wheel Gator too.

Yeah... Yeah, I'm not really into this mode, to be honest.

It drops in stores here unless it's a Mario game. I can wait for that.

Jury's out on if MM11 makes 2.5D work, so for now I'd say I want to stay away from that style.

It's not though.  2.5D NEVER works.  It always looks like a bad doll house diorama or floating stage over a picture.  Gameplay is always kind of floaty or imprecise.

I agree.

I'm only hoping for MM11 to break the cycle. Every new piece of footage looks tighter than before. I loathe 2.5D as much as anybody, but I'm keeping an open mind.

Yeah I suppose that's true. And they can fudge it a bit, since Bowser's size relationship with Mario has certainly been inconsistent.

The game needs more of those dumpy bigs. King Dedede was a great addition to Bowser and Donkey Kong, but I never thought Charizard really was and I'm not convinced on Ridley yet. Guys like pig Ganon and King K. Rool really should already be in there.

I'd prefer to find the armor pieces rather than just pay for them, but I agree that no one wants to rescue reploids for that. I like that mix and match idea.

For my money, X9 should just disregard anything MMZ/ZX and just treat that as a separate timeline. In fact, I would like it if they made specific plot points to contradict MMZ.

I'm okay with 2.5 graphics as long as it looks fluid

The problem is it rarely does.

Jury's out on if MM11 makes 2.5D work, so for now I'd say I want to stay away from that style.

For the gameplay, I think the X series holds more room for innovation than any existing Megaman series, so more than specific weapons I'd want to see the weapons used in interesting and variable ways. If I play X1, for example, I don't really switch the weapons much during a level. I would like to WANT to use the weapons frequently in the stage, and NEED them to solve certain puzzles/problems. Give me a more than one way to skin a cat. We've seen it in other MM games. I just want the ability to choose my path more. Perhaps instead of weapons doing one specific thing they can be more implemented into a physics engine. Still a side-scrolling game, but one where I can strategize my next move.

For the story I think I'd like more plot than most people, but I want it to only advance and inform the existing lore and perhaps rewrite/overwrite some of what they said happens between MMX and MMZ.

Basically I'd want X9 to fulfill the potential of what the X series always could have been. More than anything, though, I don't want to see X9 go the way of so many "new sequel after a long time" games and just rehash everything we've been doing for 30 years. I'm personally bored of the whole virus thing, and I liked it better when we thought Mavericks were just making a political choice rather than being "evil because of infection". The series can have more depth than that.

You guys really shouldn't read so much into a secret image and a secret track, think of how many times we've been burned before.

I mean... I want it to be an X9 hint as much as you guys, and that's how it looks in those descriptions, but it could easily just be an unlockable song from Command Mission or some such #####e too.

I don't really think Doom guy's weapon selection is the issue. I just don't see how anything about him fits the tone or gameplay of Smash Bros. itself, you would basically have to create moves he doesn't do in DOOM to make him playable and there's no way he's grabbing people by the necks and doing brutal bloody kills in this rated E 10+ video game. And if he's not doing brutal kills, what's the point? It's something that works in a fan hack of the game more than the real deal. Ganondorf manages a neck grab because they cover it with magic effects.

Then, as an FPS character, he doesn't have an iconic look or any attributes that transfer well to so a side scrolling fighter. Personally, I just don't see how that character would resonate with a target audience or even be fun to play. We might as well say "Gordon Freeman for Smash" or "Isaac Clarke for Smash" since it fits in about the same amount. For me, Snake already hits the borders of the game's limits in those ways, and more importantly Smash Bros. doesn't need a ton of "generic space soldier" guys. There's already too many "Fire Emblem swordsmans" as it is, even though I like them all.

Months ago on reddit, I saw some discussion on the idea of Doomguy/Doomslayer/Doom Marine being added and someone said he would be better as a guest character in an upcoming Mortal Kombat game, due to the type of game that Doom is. If you think about it, that fit makes a ton more sense since you don't want to tone down Doomguy but you can't just show him snapping Pikachu's neck after plugging Little Mac with lead.

Having said all that, it seems like Nintendo isn't as concerned about maintaining the vibe/concept direction of the Smash Bros. franchise these days (due to some of the DLC characters), so maybe you'll get your wish. For me, I just don't think it would be good ENOUGH to make it worth them doing, though it would be a really cool Final Smash for him to go FPS on the stage and blast everyone kind of like the way you initiate the Dragoon.

Min Min is a cute, but Twintell has "dat ass" going for her.  I do think an ARMS rep would be great though.  Also, we need Wonder Red from Wonderful 101.  That's a great game.  A Splatoon rep was on my list as well, but they're in now so that fixes that.

I think Twintelle is my favourite character design in the game, but they're always going to go with the iconic character/fan favourite of the franchise so it would likely be Ribbon Girl first and foremost (but I'd hope that the other characters could be costume changes/echo fighters).

Wonder Red would fit into Smash Bros. really well, but if we're going down that aesthetic route I'd prefer Viewtiful Joe much more. Regardless, it's actually stupid they haven't included at least one of those two.

I'd second Ganon. I don't think I ever even thought of that before. Though I like both the OOT and the original Ganon. But hell, if we can have both Young Link and Toon Link, I guess I've no problem with having both of them.

I'm already sold on Smash, it looks awesome. As to whether I'll actually play it is another thing.

The Ganon idea is interesting. I think we'll only ever see him as a Final Smash fro Ganondorf. If they DID do him as a separate character then they would likely have to decrease his size, in a similar way they've done to Ridley. I have to wait and see when I get the game, but I don't feel like Ridley is going to be much fun, and I would worry about that with LTTP pig Ganon even though I definitely prefer that design over the one we get in Smash Bros.

Unfortunately I don't think we could have blue pig man be an alternate costume for Ganondorf, since LTTP Ganon uses a different weapon and I can't imagine him doing all those flippy air kicks.
