Exactly. But I thought the episode was fine. Posted on: 6 November 2009, 01:44:56
I've caught an episode of Dexter on TV, so I'm going to see what's up. It might not be the kind of thing you can jump into but I've heard oh so much about it I might as well give it a shot. After literally 9 minutes of "Last season on Dexter" the episode is actually starting.

I had a roommate like that once. People always stole his beer, and he would always leave passive aggressive notes on the fridge, demanding the beer be replaced, and then going on to list acceptable types.
Did he throw parties and invite people that clearly hated him too? 'Cause that would be pretty funny. I would add this guy just to tell him off if I wasn't totally paranoid that if over the internet I tell some stranger to kill themselves then they might actually do it.

Sorry to hear that, ASR. Nope, sorry Mike.
This is what I thought. Thanks, anyway. I'm pretty sure most of the tabs were just open to remind me of stuff but I know there was some clothes I wanted to order on there and some songs I wanted to checkout so it's a bit annoying.

The Disc version of the expansion is standalone and therefore doesn't require the original GTA IV disc, so it won't have the original GTA IV music. Just the new music.
Not sure if I'm making sense here still. The reason the old music isn't in the disc version is because of licensing issues and whatnot.
And I should get Saints Row 2 one of these days. I heard it's pretty much like San Andreas except better.
Gotcha, and maybe I'll buy the disc versions of that anyway since I thought the music like everything else in GTAIV was bland but I'd like to try The Lost And The Damned or whatever.

The story was alright, I never expected much. I knew it was going to be Final Fantasy with some Disney jargon thrown in (which is what Wind described) but it was actually pretty fun and the nature of the Heartless stuff was interesting so I eventually went from an apathetic view of it to really liking it.
The Disney characters are obviously the best, though Donald and Goofy together make for a rather suckass team. Fighting stuff in the Coliseum was all me, the only thing they did that could be considered help was they distracted a couple enemies here or there. I never gave them items because they (in a fashion that I'm surprised STILL happens a LOT in games) would waste whole healing potions if I got the tiniest scratch even though I could just heal myself quickly anyway.

Anyway, if you get the Disc version you don't get any of the music from the original GTA IV, only the new ones + the new radio station exclusive to the Disc version.
But wouldn't the music from GTAIV already be on the disc for GTAIV you have to have to operate the expansions anyway? I don't understand what you meant. Everything that's "new" in GTA4 has been in Saints Row 2 from the get go, thank you.
Yesssss. I was playing SR2 when my friend (who had been recently playing GTAIV) was over and he was like "This has like original XBox graphics". I wasn't happy about it since I knew he was comparing it to GTAIV in his head and I knew SR2 was a more enjoyable game. Lately I've really wanted to play more Fallout 3. A combination of having never owned it and being far too busy to use my XBox for anything other than a DVD player has kept me from scrubbing this craving.

The second Flash ran through dimensions into an alternate Earth. The third Flash outran death itself.
If you're faster than them, this better be really creative.

Just a quick thing; Firefox crashed and when I went to open it again I guess I accidentally (because I don't remember doing it) hit Start A New Session instead of Restore. So I'm guess they're gone for good (which pissed me because I had stuff I needed open) but is there still a way to restore the session at this point?

Today I woke up, knowing I need a haircut, 'cause I got wily hair going on, sans the bald-spot. This is a reason to NOT get a haircut! Halloween is just around the corner!
I'm wondering why this exchange happened in this thread.

Was her old man tied to a hose and being dragged around?
Actually she dressed as like... the concept of the movie Up. Basically her body had a sky pattern thing going on and then on a hat she had the house and had balloons. I didn't really see it all though. I thought it was probably the most creative in the program.

I'm waiting for damn friendish/acquaintance to upload the right photo of my costume but he's taking his under-5-foot-crush-on-a-girl-who-is-a-bitch-and-treats him-badly-that-he'll-never-get-who-is-dating-my-friend-and-also-I-kind-of-hate-her ass time putting it up. It's-a me! Mario!
I don't know if it's better than when I went as Mario, but it's pretty good. One of my roommates is going as Mafia Luigi and his friend is going as Mafia Mario.
There Will Be Brawl. But those costumes are not that creative actually, sorry to say. I've seen art of what you described. Here's one picture from early on in the night:
I'm glad I can't tell you're jewish. Anyway you look like Green from Yellow. Ew... Store bought.
'Cause you make your ramen from scratch, right?

The ending was pretty funny, I laughed out loud. It was really crazy and "what the #####" worthy but it tied the rest of the episode up so I enjoyed that. I liked the episode because it also had that Seinfeld element.
I really got into The Big Bang Theory and am now completely caught up on it.

OH. It was an attempt at humor.
Anyway Shannon dressed up as the house from Up for the class Halloween competition today and I thought that was pretty cool.

The be fair, Wind could easily have been confused because her avatar leads us to believe she is actually a fish hook. In other news, today I realized I'm not Facebook friends with one of my roommates. Our rooms are literally five feet away from each other.
You should just write notes on his actual wall then. I'm too not a loser to read the rest of this thread.

That bear would've been cooler in Forrest Gump than Lt. Dan Taylor. Haha, you only gave it a glance and I admittedly don't even know what I'm talking about. WE'RE A TEAM.
A right CORRECT team! The reason I said anything at all is that we had this orange versus red talk back in what must've been... who was that guy? He had a thread with a really deep orange-looking navi and Mikero said it was red and everyone else was like, "WTF IT'S ORANGE." And he was like, "No kids THIS is orange."
Yeah I thought of that too, and I was right that time too. Since the universe, chemistry, and math say so. Sano... why do you do the things you do? Especially when said "bear" is out of your league.
I thought it was funny...

You haven't seen the signs all over campus saying "Ooohah stay home and stop the spread of H1N1!" at all? They're everywhere. And it's stupid bull##### since swine flu is just like, uh, the regular flu? And people are just unsurprisingly freaking out over it. Remember bird flu? Yeah, exactly. Still I can't afford to get sick this year (I generally get a mild flu every February because I take the busiest bus in the city for an hour at least twice daily and do stupid things with the heaters on it and at school) so I might get double vacc'd.

I was gonna say this; Because the omission of a single letter makes typing sooooooooo much more efficient.
And this; I'm a HUGE fan of typing in all-lowercase sans punctuation for comedic effect. I do it quite a bit on Facebook and around here, I believe. Basically, it's just a way of saying "don't take this seriously" or "this is meant to be humorous."

All Kubrick's are the same crap. We have tons of kinds at the store, including a Trinity from The Matrix that will never sell. If they were actual LEGO figures, I'd go for it.
... for a lego/kubrick/megablox... ... an actual lego piece...
Right. Yeah Kubrick's are nothing like LEGO figures. And I haaaate when customers call them that in the store. They're taller, the plastic is weaker/cheaper, and they really don't move or look the same at all other than being blocky. By the same logic regular bricks and LEGO blocks are the same. Also, Kubrick figures don't actually go with anything but themselves, at least Megablocks figures could go on Megablocks, and Megablocks fit together fine with LEGO blocks, but Kubrick's are a completely different kind of toy to the point that everyone's immediate comparison irks me. If it was just Kubrick figures I wouldn't care but this happens with any blocky styled anything, I'm forever hearing people comment like "Oh it's a LEGO blahblahblah" even if like a video game character has a slightly square head. It's completely apples and oranges. If I walked onto a pier and called a boat a car people would think I was literally retarded.

It's bogus (while not surprising) they saved all the best songs from downloadable content. I hate that #####, I want the game I payed for not some crappier copy with option to pay more to make it better. "DLC" is cool for stuff like Fallout 3 where they just make new missions and story constantly, I mean that's not like a piece of the game was really missing the whole time and they're just ganking you for it. It's stupid that a lot of the best Beatles tracks were left out, considering everyone bought the game for them in the first place.

That was actually my process for all sorts of Adult Swim programming: Sealab 2021 The Brak Show Harvey Birdman: AaL Metalocalypse Aqua Teen Hunger Force
I thought they were all stupid until I became accustomed to their individual senses of humor, and now I love 'em all.
Though the last few seasons of ATHF haven't been very good.
Yeah same here for all of them, so maybe I'll give Metalocalypse more time. The ATHF movie was pretty good though.
